When You Can’t Sleep At Night-Eddie Munson Imagine

You woke to warmth all around you. Opening your eyes you felt a strong hold around your waist, you smile remembering that you stayed with Eddie in the lake house. You didn’t want Eddie alone while he was basically a wanted “criminal” in Hawkins. The clock on the bedside table reads 2:26am. You look over your shoulder and roll over towards Eddie, his mouth is parted ever so slight and has a gentle rise and fall of his chest. His so dam beautiful. You see him stir a little and snuggle closer into his chest. The smell of Eddie making you feel safe even with the thought of Vecna in the back of your mind.

Here in this world I’m awake with mistakes, but it’s love that keeps fueling me, fuelling me..

Your heart begins to quicken thoughts start racing, worrying if Max would be okay, or if Eddie would be caught by the police and thrown in jail for a crime he didn’t commit. You couldn’t lose him. But god you were scared, a few tears start forming in the corner of your eyes as your mind drifts about what life would be like if you did lose him. Your to much in your thoughts that you don’t realise you let out out a small sob, and Eddie stirs in his sleep. His eyes flutter open and his sleepy smile that he has turns into a worried state when he realises he can hear you crying. “Y/N, baby, what’s wrong?” He whispers. “Nothing, just a bad dream” you say quickly, whipping your eyes although your hoping that it’s still too dark for Eddie to see anyway. “Hey” he prompts himself up and onto his elbow to look down at you “I heard you crying sweetheart.. talk to me”. Eddie places a hand on your cheek, feeling the wetness from your tears and his heart sinks.

Vecna definitely has you doesn’t he?!” Eddie continues to makes you laugh and you finally look up at him. “I’m okay Eddie, Vecna doesn’t have me” you half smile at the doofus who is still above you, “I just couldn’t sleep and starting freaking out about everything with Vecna and Max, and then… then you, what if something happens to you? I think about my life without you and I just start to cry”- Eddie cuts you off and presses his lips against yours, his hand that’s still on your cheek moves down towards the back of your neck to pull you closer.

Don’t give up baby, I know that it’s shaky, just let love consume us, consume us..

He pulls away slowly and looks down at you, “Don’t worry baby, your safe with me. I promise. I’m not going anywhere” he smiles. “What if the police get you?” You whisper “well.. it wouldn’t be the first time,” Eddie smirks, which makes you smile at your loveable idiot. “Eddie I’m serious, we can’t hide in here forever and we don’t even have a plan yet” “I know, but we will. Dustin, Nancy, Steve, Robin, they’re all coming over tomorrow and we will make a plan. I promise you, I will be here. I’m not going anywhere.” Eddie kisses you again, but this time he kisses you so deeply your anxiety starts to settle. “I love you. And I swear I’m going to be right beside you the whole time we’re fighting Vecna. I won’t let anything happen.” Eddie whispers softly. And this time it’s you kissing him, and it’s your hands that reach around the back of his neck to pull him closer to you… if that was even possible.
