"AI is the future" but, do we really need them?

AI, what is it? AI or Artificial Intelligence, is an intelligence demonstrated by machines. Intelligence is, of course, coded by humans, for the machines to make them analyze the situation, like what happened, what to do, simple analytics that could help us humans determining the situations. They are also programmed to understand human speech, and some them are programmed to talk, so it will be easy to understand on their analytics.

AIs nowadays are currently used on machines like the automatic vacuum cleaner, it helps them determine if there is a wall or anything that blocks their way and they will try to analyze the situation and find another route for them to clean. AIs are also used in apps with text-to-speech function available, one example of it, is the Google app, it has a text-to-speech option where you say what you want to search and then the AI will translate that speech into text for you to find what are you looking for. More examples of Artificial Intelligence are in games (NPCs), robots and more.

In the future, we might see a robot with human-intellectual we call as human-prototypes. Best example of this can be found on the game “Detroit: Become Human” where we find some human prototypes, they call it “Androids”. These Androids helps on assisting humans in everything, like a dishwasher, a police officer, a construction worker, an assistant helping with your everyday work, and more. In that game, we can also find a public transportation vehicle, which has no drivers in it, but instead they use AI for them to know the route they need to go.

But the problem with this human-prototypes is, they might take something that humans do, jobs to be specific. Of course they are machines, so they would rarely make a mistake. And one thing about this human-prototypes is, they are machines, so they might acquire a virus or malware in their system that can cause them to disobey or not listening to their orders coded in their system, so they might try to commit crimes. Once they do that, they can easily get away with it, they have no fingerprints, its GPS will turn off once it will acquire the malware. You might get the Model Number, but each model has a thousands of copies on it, so its hard to identify who's who.

Of course, we humans are finding a way to make our lives easier. But making these human-prototype robots, might be a problem to us in the future. Yep, I know, I’m just basing on the game, but the game itself might imply, that this would be our future, where we find robots walking on the streets, these robots, doing the jobs which humans are supposed to do before, robots that we invented for us to make our lives easy, is now the one who is disobeying the law and commiting crimes. Is this the future we want? Is this what we want to pursue? Do we really need them?

The Legend of Tinuy-an Falls

Sa pila ka adlaw ang nilabay, nakita sa iyang mga kauban nga grabe na sya kaguol. Usa ka adlaw, nakit an siya sa mga katawhan sa tribo, nga nahilog siya sa isa ka bangin, ug siya nawala. 4 YEARS

There was a student named John. John was great at math, an English-fluent person, and has an exaggerated shyness. He only has a few friends, and due to his shyness, he won’t socialize with new people.

He is now in the 7th grade, still the same, very shy, he remained silent for the entire time, and then he saw someone that made him gasp, it was Jane. Jane was one of the new students, John tried to flirt with her, then changed his mind, “I can’t do that on the first day, and also I’m too young for that thing”, he said, “But man, she’s very cute and beautiful, I hope I can get her one day”. John immediately had a crush on her, and then, the teacher decided that they would sit beside each other for the rest of the school year. John had the opportunity to flirt with her, but his conscience told him not to do it. After that, they would be in a separate classroom for 2 years.

3 years later, John is now in the 10th grade, he still does not have the courage to confess his feelings to Jane, he wants to but his brain doesn't cooperate. John went his classroom, and saw something that made him gasp, it was Jane, she was in the same classroom as John. John felt nervous about it, “Why would I be nervous? C’mon, get over it”, John talked to himself.

Months went by, John’s still shy about her, “Why the heck I can’t do it?” he said to himself, “C’mon it is just simple, just say it and, its all over”. Even though he really wanted to tell her, his conscience and his shyness would still dominate over him.

Now, it is the 4-year anniversary of John’s feelings for Jane, even though his shyness still dominates over him, he has now a little courage to do that, “I can’t take it anymore, I must tell her before its too late”, John said, “But how am I gonna do it? Tell her personally? No, it would be too embarrassing… Ah I know, I’ll just chat her about it, it would be less embarrassing”.

Later that day, John was planning on what to do, what questions will he ask, when will he bring that up.

Now, he’s ready for it, "I hope this wouldn't end bad", John said to himself. He started the conversation by asking some random questions, opinions about certain things and, finally, after 4 years, John finally told her, “Jane, to be honest with you, I have a crush on you since the 7th grade, I didn’t confess, because I was stupid, shy, and an idiot. For 4 years I have hid this feeling, I think tonight is the right time for me to do this”. Jane went speechless for a while, John was regretting what he did, “What the hell did I just did?”, he exclaimed. About 26 minutes later, John's phone buzzed, it was Jane, he opened his phone with excitement and read her reply, “Please don’t tell me you’re joking, okay, to be honest with you also, I also have feelings on you, the first time I met you, on the 7th grade, I find you as a cute and immature boy, I’m just waiting for you to do the first move", John blushed on what Jane said, then something in her reply that broke John's heart, "But, that was a long time ago, I’m sorry. I hope you can forgive me, and, thank you for liking me, maybe we'll stay as friends for now?”, John dropped his phone, his entire system malfunctioned after what Jane said, he was devastated, “4 years for that?”, he stared with a blank expression on the wall, regrets starting to fill his mind, all those missed opportunities from 7th grade until the 10th grade. If he did it earlier, it wouldn't get this bad. It might be devastating, but at least John, finally release the thing that has been lurking him for 4 years.

Shyness is really a big blunder to all people, you might miss a ton of opportunities, and you’ll regret it later. Grab every opportunity, because opportunities will never come back again.
