Have you heard that John Linnell (TMBG) is putting out a new solo EP called "Roman Songs" where he sings entirely in Latin?? The first song is released on iTunes and YouTube: It's called "HAEC QVOQVE EST RES". I would love to hear your take on this.

Some of you possibly know that They Might Be Giants were my favorite band from my teenage years into early adulthood and I was deeeeep into them, buying all the EPs and solo projects and such. I’ve cooled on their newer material (the last album I listened to heavily was Join Us), but I still have a lot of fondness for them, even as my friends clown on me for that

Anyway, my only skepticism about this would be that the Latin would be bad, but it’s fine in both translation and pronunciation in the first song, so maybe it will be okay? (My only nitpick is the way he starts indirect “if” questions with si instead of num, but okay; I’m sure there’s some attestation justifying this somewhere.)

I dunno, should be interesting, even if I would have preferred another batch of State Songs

I’ve got several copies of the comics collected in this Alan Moore: Wild Worlds trade but I’m always glad to revisit Moore on WildStorm characters. The high point is definitely the Majestic story “The Big Chill,” but Deathblow: Byblows with @baikieafc is buckwild. I picked up the trade because I never read the Spawn/WildCATs crossover and, man, this is the MOST 90s ... I love it.
