Motivated by a novel named Delhi by Khushwant Singh, I visited Mehrauli archeological park during my third time sojourn in Delhi. I met this boy in an ancient mosque (in the photo, now only ruins) near Qutub Minar. To my surprise, he could speak English quite well and gave me a good tour of this mosque and around. The women’s chamber of Hawa Mahal(royal palace). This must be the most famous building in Jaipur. This monument has 953 windows from where all the women of royal families used to see all the festivals(lest any outsiders see them). I tried to watch the street behind one window, it was very uncomfortable and inconvenient, like being forced to peep an elephant through a small hole. Started from Jammu, I shared a taxi with an India military man to go to Srinagar. In the middle way, several times, we were asked by the Sikh driver to step out of the car and walk through checkpoints. Finally, at a small train station, we were sold by the driver. He told us his car could not go any further, we had to take a train from here. ‘A Plan can never keeps up with changes, just like your Chinese products!’ The military man laughed with me.
