Grand Theft Auto V

GTA 5 is a sandbox game made in rockstar advanced game engine (RAGE) you can either play in single or online where you can play with your friends.

I like the freedom you get in this but but there are many limitations too.

GTA 5′s story is very long and takes the perspective of 3 characters which is unique in games.

In gta v i like it’s cars because they all have different attributes and appearances, however i don’t like the guns because they dont really resemble guns in real life and the sounds are a bit dry

Vigor

Vigor is a different survival game, it is unique setting and rules.

It is set in Norway in 1992, as of now it is only available to the Xbox One platform. This is not a battle royale game but it plays a little bit like one. You can pair up with one of your friends or you can survive alone.

you get to choose which map you survive in and you only get 20 mins to gather loot and escape back to shelter before the radiation comes. with the resources you can build your shelter up. one thing I hate about this game is team killing!

Hotline Miami 2

This is an amazing top down shooter game with an equally amazing soundtrack, for a 2015 game it uses 16-bit graphics to fit the feel of a miami in the 80′s shooter. It has it’s own aesthetic, this game is like GTA but it looks older and feels better to play.

H1Z1

H1Z1 is another survival game. Overall it is a good game, I like the fact that you can get alot of loot unlike in DayZ and it makes the game more fun and arcade like, the only real issue is bugs and it’s graphical capability.

DayZ

DayZ is a survival game. It has zombies in it but these are not your biggest threat, other survivors are. I like the game becuase you have to do all the little things like drink water, eat food and be aware, but I don’t like how boring the game can be, you could just be walking for hours and not even find anyone or any good loot. What i like about this is that you are free to do whatever you want and the game itself will not punish you, but other players are your biggest problem and I want to do something like that in my games.

FPS Comparison: S.T.A.L.K.E.R. Shadow of Chernobyl

S.T.A.L.K.E.R.: Shadow of Chernobyl is a post apocolyptic first person shooter game set in Chernobyl, Ukraine. I think it is a good game because the setting and atmosphere is dark like it should be, it is actually scary.

FPS Comparison: Time Crisis

Time Crisis is an old FPS game from 1995, I played when I was little and loved it. It has a unique design in which you race against time to kill enemies and go through missions. This Namco game is available for Playstation but the best playing experience is on an arcade machine.

Half-Life 2 in my opinion is the greatest single FPS of all time, it was made in 2004 on the Source engine, it is a single player game made in episodes and it has a very rustic and dystopian vibe to it, it has a great storyline and it’s existence has birthed other popular games like Garry’s mod

FPS Comparison: Insurgency Sandstorm

Insurgency sandstorm is a good first person shooter game, the reason for it being good is that it is aimed to be a very realistic game, bullets do high amounts of damage per second and the gore is very graphic and realistic. this is a highly competitive shooter.

Rainbow Six Siege is a good FPS game because it takes elements from other fps games and implements them into a very competitive and strategic shooter, many situations are very stressful and intense but everything pays off

Far Cry 3: Blood Dragon is a very unique premise, it is set in 2007 from an 80′s perspective but the game was released in 2013. It’s theme is sort of “Cyberpunky” and it’s synthwave/retrowave soundtrack adds to that vibe

FPS Comparison: Battlefield 3

Battlefield 3 in my opinion is a great FPS game, it mixes hard, gritty combat with an amazing single player campaign. For a 2011 game this is still popular and being played because of how good it is, every time I log on, I can still see hundreds of servers active. Battlefield 3 was made on the Frostbite engine.

Mostly I got positive responses, most with good constructive criticism. I think that the questions I asked were good and they can help my improve my games in the future. I know now what must be done to improve.
