I want to make a brochure for the map showing more of its history that I'll probably leave out of the map since there's not much space. I shouldn't focus too much on it but I think it would be fun to add...if I have time LOL

Starting the map

It's hard to try not to play into the illustrative elements of a map but I got some advice and will definitely color-code the events based on what they are. Just have to figure it out...

Learning that he was mixed was a surprised as his whole life he would speak about how white he was. Wrote down notes on the entire video and it really showed me a lot and taught me things that I didn't know about before

I learned about trujillo throughout highschool and the mariposas but through the project I'm learning a lot more than I thought I was going to. Too many things happened in my country

I had to realize what it really was. It needs to be fighting what the rest of the world sees when they look at a map

I think ill take that idea and come up with something nice

Mapping idea 10/3

At first I didn't really know what to do but I have a couple ideas planned out now. It will mainly have to do with Dominican republic

I think im gonna stick with a stylized style and make it more abstract. Still don't know if I'll add people or just buildings or places
