OK but what's something you would without a doubt do with a fic like that. like what would your must haves be? or 'who' would your must haves be.

And okay imagine that one of the rules says that you can have just one pro in your team or someone from outside and izuku grabs came so quick because with a mix camie, hitoshi and neitos quirks there's is absolutely nothing stopping him from mindfucking the heroes so thoroughly.

But okay okay. If I were to do a HCCW AU, I think I would probably keep a lot of the classics. Izuku and Katsuki would still have to be opposed. I think I would like to keep the roster relatively the same because one of my favorite parts of the original was that Izuku had to go up against his friends while working with people he didn’t usually work with.

I think the biggest changes I would do would probably come from two things: 1) a Katsuki that was very aware of what it might mean to go up against Izuku as a villain, spent a lot more time trying to prepare equally as insane schemes, and lost anyway and 2) a not so secretive inclusion of Shinsou in the villain team. I think Rogue has mentioned before that HCCW takes place in that gap of time after the Sports Festival and before the internship arc, though I could be wrong. I think it would be cool to do a little bit of a post canon HCCW if I went for it—something that UA decides to bring back in their third year or so, because I think it would be fun to do something that uses a lot of knowledge that comes from later in canon about characters, in regards to both their abilities and their personalities.

Plus, I think there would be something extra dark about them doing this for fun after actually fighting a war, and I would kind of like to explore that psyche too.

And you're absolutely right. Camie in a HCCW AU would be very powerful indeed...

Nah, but that is a banger of a fic. I have a lot of respect for people that tackle their own spin on it though—I would find it nerve-wracking to try and mess with the classics.

Have you read 'Rise of the Rat Finks' by 'Lily_Penwielder' on ao3? it's a monoma/izuku fic that's just amazing.

I love the idea of neito, shinso and hatsume low key helping izuku when he leaves UA after the war. they're not as high profile as 1a and therefore perfect to help him out. also because of btbh, I LOVE camie and izuku as friends. so my brain really likes to think of her helping out as well.

Yes! I agree. I did some art of Monoma and Izuku doing the spider kiss a while ago that belonged to an AU like this in my head, where Monoma was able to sneak out and meet with him to share information about what was going on at UA versus the outside world. I never wrote it, but I would like to some day!

I made myself love her and Izuku as friends too, even though I wasn’t really intending for that to happen when I set out to write BtBH.

Izuku slid his thumb underneath the top of the note and quickly popped it open before he chickened out. If he chickened out, Iida would remind him of the note’s existence (because there was no way Iida wouldn’t do that) and then it would be awkward because Izuku would have to explain he hadn’t forgotten, he was just avoiding it. And Izuku was already awkward enough as it was without adding to it. Izuku read the inside of the note. He blinked. He blinked again. “Midoriya-kun?” Iida asked. “Is everything alright? Your face looks—” Numbly, Izuku showed him the note. There was a moment of silence, and then there were two moments of silence, and then Iida said, “It is unsigned.” Izuku flipped the note back around, looking at it again as if he expected the words to have changed in the time Iida had been reading it. Honestly, Izuku would have been less shocked if they had, because, well… I like you.

Ok, hear me out, Monoma and Izuku would be unstoppable, okay? So this is the most awkward Izuku story in the most delicious way. Izuku receives an anonymous note telling him "I like you". It was left on his locker and it's not signed, and Izuku simply cannot believe it was for him, he thinks he is undatable (which his friends are so cool about disproving him of the idea). Meanwhile Monoma, with whom he had become friends, simply reverted to his old ways, and worse, and Izuku is not sure what's going on. (it's not like he has a crush on Monoma and doesn't know how to deal). Amazing everything! Super fun and funny!

The Ways Time Changes Them. 

I did this as a piece for mine and FaeQueenInu’s fic Reset on AO3. It’s a dark themed time-travel fix it where we tried to do a realistic take on the genre. It’s both extremely serious and at times wildly hilarious. Please give it a read if you’re curious!!

I put it to a vote in a discord server and the people chose Monoma to be the other half of this spider kiss so the people win 🙏

I started this because of 1) a joke with a friend and 2) I wanted to attempt drawing this scene with Izuku as Spiderman featuring Blackwhip because...well, all MHA artists want to do this eventually lol. BUT SINCE THEN I HAVE HAD THOUGHTS.

Maybe one day I'll write an accompanying story but I think this art is from an AU where Izuku never came back from his vigilante arc in canon. So, they're well into their second or third years. He ended up kind of pushing 1A away because he didn't want any of his close friends to get hurt and he obviously was connected to them. He ended up establishing a contact point with Neito, though (met again while Neito was on an internship?? A mission???). They kept in touch intermittently because Neito could update him on UA news even though he was fairly sour about it at first and then eventually that developed into something more.

Something more being spider kisses, of course.

Anyway, I'd love to hear thoughts about the AU if you'd like to talk about it!! And if anyone wants to write this, like...let's chat lol.

(I used a lot of reference images for this, including a sort of replication of someone else's art work to figure out the background, but I was loose with it. The signs aren't supposed to say anything, they're just scribbles that look kind of like characters.)

i love your fics so much!! i know you're already in the process of writing a lot of them but i wanted to ask if you'd ever consider writing a todobakudeku fic. whether you do write it or not, i just know you'd do them justice. i'm also very thankful for your izuku/monoma fic. and on that note, how do you feel about the izuku, neito, mei and hitoshi friendship. i feel like there's so much potential there.

I think TodoBakuDeku is nice, especially in non-canon universes. I started a crack fic once that had the premise of Shouto, Momo, and Katsuki all trying to outdo each other to win Izuku's heart, which is the closest I've come to writing the pairing, but I got distracted from that idea a while ago and it's kind of been overshadowed by Vending Machine (which has a similar premise with more people) anyway. Never say never though—there's always a chance I might write it in the future even if it seems unlikely to happen to me now. I'm a multishipper, which shouldn't be surprising to anyone that's read more than one of my stories, so my tastes tend to fluctuate a bit.

And I Shot Cupid, yeah? (I technically have two Izuku/Neito fics now.) That one was a lot of fun to write and it means a lot to me personally, so I'm glad you enjoyed it. Izuku, Mei, Hitoshi, and Neito is a neat friend group, I agree. I think the funnest part about it is that they represent all the factions of students we see a lot of at UA: Class A, Class B, Support, and General Studies. They'd make a really spicy Cavalry Battle team tbh......
