The concept of THE ABJECT originates from Julia Kristeva's theory of our reaction (horror, vomit) to a threatened breakdown in meaning caused by the loss of the distinction between subject and object or between self and other; a sense of revulsion is often extended onto common perception of the female.

The Abject strives to give rise to the voices of teenage girls on any and everything to do with the estrangement that the peculiar matrimony of adolescence and womanhood brings! I have so much love and respect for women who are honest about their own loneliness but also find the good in it like when audrey hepburn said “I have to be alone very often. I’d be quite happy if I spent from Saturday night until Monday morning alone in my apartment. That’s how I refuel” and when charlotte bronte said “I care for myself. The more solitary, the more friendless, the more unsustained I am, the more I will respect myself” and when jenny slate said “I think I’ve come to terms with the fact that there will always be a ribbon of loneliness running through who I am. long story short i had to make a new blog because of some issues with my email. so this is a fresh new start with a proper introduction ❀ 



— tat, 22, infj — a gentle potato who just wants to meet nice people and have a good time — as a bilingual i speak polish + russian, am fluent in english + more or less so in spanish. currently i’m learning french + german — i’m doing two majors: french + philosophy. if you’re curious about my classes i have them listed on my tumblr ♡ — i’ve been on tumblr on and off for many years creating pretty successful original content for a couple of large fandoms, but that environment got a tad toxic, which is why i would leave every time as i’m all about that wholesomeness baby. but yay, photoshop experience!

INTRODUCTORY POST

My name is T, I’m 16 and I’m currently in 12th grade studying mathematics, physics, chemistry, English and physical education.

Reasons behind starting this studyblr:

1. I need motivation for my studies, and seriously what better place there is for study motivation than this.

2. I’m a sucker for study tips and hacks (as you can already see from my blog) and the studyblr community provides a ton of these.

3. It’s also because I keep procrastinating and slacking and having a studyblr kinda motivates me and keeps me accountable for all the studying I do (or don’t).

4. I want to make friends.

5. I want to become a better version of myself.

6. I want to learn french, coding and psychology and don’t actually have them as a part of my academic curriculum. Also I think I might be able to get some advice from y’all on how and where to start and go about learning them.
