We opened a board today and found this, amazing that the client wasn’t complaining about things not working!! Another kitchen lighting upgrade this week. Before during and after pictures. Another happy customer, recessed LED energy efficient lighting installed, all on silent and programmable dimmer switches. We didn’t want to leave any evidence of the install so we removed the coving and made any holes we need in the ceiling right at the edge of the room. When we’d finished we stuck the coving back up, made good the gaps with filler and decorators caulk and even we struggled to see the marks. Not often you see that! A fairly modern house and we’re here to convert single sockets to doubles.....some of the walls appear to be made of diamonds cause they’re so hard, then this one is, quite literally, made of straw. Working at home today on a favour for a customer. A light that they purchased in a closing down sale decided not to work when we installed it. When I got it home I could see why!! Updating lighting in a Gym. Previous lights were sodium based and took time to warm up. The new lighting scheme has fewer units and are energy efficient LED. Emergency call out this weekend as a customers RCD had tripped, leaving them with no power at all! We went out on Sunday morning and found the pond controls were damaged and full of water. We’d have preferred to isolate them until a replacement could be found but the pond was full of Koi Caro :-( We made a safe repair then returned as soon as the replacement was delivered and installed the new item in a better location. #electricians #basingstoke #farnborough #24hr https://www.instagram.com/p/CAIvIOMBRHf/?igshid=4czv0igs575f

A call out today as client had no hot water. It had us vexed for a little while but after a bit of digging we found that the installation plumber in this new build had fitted the temperature control valve backwards - the Cold terminal to the hot pipe, the hot terminal to the cold pipe. We turned our hands to plumbing, got it working, then the valve failed!! We thought we’d finished for the day today then we had an emergency call out from one of our commercial customers. Urgent requirement to go and fix the magnetic locks on a security door. We got there and quickly diagnosed the fault as being a failed Maglock, as we couldn’t source one quickly the only option was to diagnose the unit down to circuit board level!!
