Tsukou as Kyosaya from Madoka Magica, Tsukasa as Kyoko and Kou as Sayaka

Tsukasa made a wish to help his family but was shunned by said family after they found out about his magical activities, causing him to swear to live selfishly for himself and himself alone from that moment on.

Meanwhile, Kou's best friend (and crush) Mitsuba got into a coma after an accident and Kou eventually ended up using his wish to heal him. However, Mitsuba woke up without any of his memories from before the coma, eventually leading Kou towards despair.

mei has a collection of favorite pens based on their ink and how nice the clicking sounds + feels, and a collection of pencils based on the graphite and how it smells (she doesn't tell anyone that they're also ranked on taste)

mitsuba finding out about lgbtqia+ stuffs through tumblr and the very next day shijima finds him scribbling on a paper trying to make a pride flag (he tells her he might be gay because he's cuter than all the girls here and shijima just hits him with a Stare he can't decipher)

mitsuba trying to get into the arts and going to shijima for help, which turns into art sessions where shijima just lets him use whatever besides the sharp objects (he's only allowed to use the child safety scissors after too many accidents with real scissors). yako watches from her stairs and sometimes goes in to attempt teaching mitsuba about how to use scissors properly)

mitsuba asking yako-neesan about ghost hygiene and yako teaching him about different clothes and style. she finds them items from the far shore markets and they try stuff out together in her boundary (yako goes out of her way to get pink stuff for him to the point that some sellers find them specifically for her and her 'son')

mei knows at least 5 tricks with her drawing utensils and twirls them incessantly when she's thinking

meanwhile, shijima doesn't have time for this. her hand is still and calm and steady and sure and she goes completely still when she's considering something on the canvas

mitsuba turns into a cat with the cat headband and instantly decides to annoy kou. kou is confused bc cats normally like him but why is this one so... mitsuba-y? he brings it home and cleans it (it bit him and drew blood after he called it pathetic-looking). later he finds mitsuba napping on his bed with the headband slipping off and realizes. they poke fun at each other about it as kou brings him back to school next morning

one day, mitsukou actually go on a trip to a real aquarium, and when they get to the penguin exhibit they look at the penguin names. mitsuba decides they aren’t good enough and starts to name every. single. penguin. in the exhibit (kou tries to get him to leave but mitsuba accuses him of breaking the bond between him and 'elizabeth' so kou just kinda sits there as mitsuba phases through the wall to say hi to 'isabella')

+ kou freeing akane from teru's binding beads so often that akane has him in his first three contacts just for convenience so that he can get back to work as soon as possible (it takes kou a lot of time struggling against the spell but akane is grateful to him for doing it either way)

kou gets into the student council by some miracle and akane teaches him the ropes

mitsukou bake together. mitsuba isn’t that good at it but he insults kou’s food so kou insults his back; but when mitsuba actually seems sad after one of his cupcakes melts into a mess kou tells him "your other cupcakes actually weren’t that bad" and then

mitsuba’s eyes light up, beaming. it’s so bright that kou looks away, as if it’d blind him (he mutters a small "i suppose..." while scratching his neck). and then mitsuba asks why he’s looking away and then when kou refuses to look at him mitsuba begins batting at him bc he hates being ignored and the joking atmosphere is back.

(kou sees mitsuba’s smile in his mind’s eye as he tucks himself into bed that night. he couldn’t sleep)
