hai
the username is ironic because i don't vote labor. i made this account when i was young, hadn't voted in an election before and thought labor was left-wing.
here are things i like:
trans rights (and trans wrongs)
medicare (and making expensive bones less expensive by putting dental in there too)
renewable energy like solar n shit
churches being taxed (especially the fuckers that can afford it like hill$ong)
billionaires being taxed
unions
when the homies join their local union
free palestine
education being free and secular
here are things i don't like:
private schools, which allow students to be discriminated against on the basis of socioeconomic status, physical and intellectual ability and often religion
money being given to said private schools by the government, perpetuating a government-funded class divide, at the expense of public schools
anti-trans lobbyists (especially used under the guise of religion)
jowling kowling rowling and her mediocre book series
detrans grifters
fossil fuels
michaelia cash (most of the hard right libs tbh but especially senator cash)
capitalism
police
children being incarcerated
the christian right
symbols of union solidarity being appropriated by far-right groups
here are things i'm iffy on:
the social media ban (i agree that something needs to be done about children on social media, but i think the proposed solution of banning them will create problems and there are better options, such as regulating mobile phone sales, greater education on social media for kids and parents, and stricter rules around phones in schools)
