SIREN - TAEKWOON AU - CHAPTER 3
Next!!!! Hello my dears, I'm posting this a little early since I need to go to me nephew's baseball game. I hope you enjoy and lemme know what you think~~ 💖💖
🧜‍♂️🧜‍♂️🧜‍♂️🧜‍♂️🧜‍♂️🧜‍♂️🧜‍♂️
"Fine......no tricks and no spells."  He bowed his head and released you.
"Thank you."
You pulled out of his arms and looked around your place.  Taking a deep breath you went into your bedroom, the only other room in the house besides the bathroom, and looked around.  Your house didn't have a lot of fancy furnishings or pretty linen but it was home.  It was the home your father built for your mother when she was pregnant with you.
Now, that simple home was in shambles.  The priest's son had destroyed everything.  You desperately tried to keep the tears from falling.  You lifted your head towards the ceiling and tried to clear the lump in your throat.
You felt a light brush of fingers on your arm and you lowered your head to find Leo smiling at you.  He slid his thumbs across your cheeks to rid them of the tears that had escaped.
"I'll have someone repair it for you."
"Someone?"
"I have lots and lots of friends."  He crossed his arms over his chest and puffed it out.
"Siren friends?"  You smiled at his childish mannerisms.
"Some are.  They would be happy to help.  I'll send the word out to anyone who is free and it will be as good as new.  That way, you can come and visit without being sad."
You thought over his offer and wanted to refuse out of habit but then you realized how much you wanted it to be fixed.
"And….what would you want in return?"  You crossed your arms over your chest and he grinned.
"You don't trust easily, do you?"
"I've never had a reason to blindly trust people.  Especially on this island."
"You can trust me, you know.  Haven't I proven at least that much?"
"I've only known you for a day.  While I appreciate that you are willing to restrain yourself.  We'll have to work on full trust."
"I suppose….but don't take too long, okay?"
"Thank you, Leo.  For being patient and for the help."
"Of course."  He bowed slightly and then smiled up at you.
"Let's--"
Leo stopped you with a finger over your lips.
"Someone's coming."
Your eyes widened and looked around for a good place to hide.  Whoever it was, probably didn't want anything good.  You hoped it wasn't someone looking for the priest's son.  You looked over to your closet and headed towards it.  Leo caught your hand and stopped you.
"I don't hide."  He pulled on your hand and led you to the front of the house. "And neither will you."
You tried to pull back but he wasn't letting go.  You had no choice but to follow his lead.  Once you reached the front door, you could hear someone walking along the front deck.
"Are you finished yet, boy?  Just take whatever you've found.  We'll come back for more later!"
It was the priest.  Panic surged in your heart when you thought about his son.  You had no idea if he was still underwater or what was left of him.  You looked at Leo and he just winked.  He motioned for you to stay put off to the corner as he stood in the middle of the room, waiting for the priest to enter.
The door opened and the priest looked confident entering knowing that the owner of the house was gone.
Arrogant bastard.
"What the hell?"  The priest barely got those words out before Leo's hand shot out and wrapped itself around the older man's throat.  A flash of fear covered the man's face but was quickly replaced by anger.  He fought against Leo's hold but didn't even make him move in the slightest.
"I could be wrong…..but I don't believe you live here."  Leo's voice was low and angry.  You almost felt sorry for the priest….almost.
"Who….agh…who the h-hell are you?!"  The priest's voice was strained as he tried to talk through Leo's grip.
Leo must have loosened his grip as the priest took a deep breath.
"Who I am is irrelevant.  What are you doing here?"
The priest finally noticed you standing off to the side and his face went pale.  You supposed he didn't expect for you to still be alive.  After a second or two, his face changed.
"My dear girl, I'm so relieved to see you alive!"  He took another look at Leo and finally realized.  "You're the creature who took our young maiden here!  I….I hope she was to your liking?  Could it be that you're returning her?"  The priest's voice was the same that he used when he talked people into donating more and more money for him to secure their afterlife.
"Y/N……"  Leo's voice surprised you as he never took his eyes off the priest.
"Y-Yes?"
"I've already taken one life today.  Do you think it would be bad luck to take another?"  Leo cocked his head to the side, giving off a dangerous image.
"P-Probably…."  You weren't sure if you should answer or if he was asking hypothetically.
"What do you mean you've already…."
"You weren't really attached to your son, right?"  The priest's face went white and he tried to pull out of Leo's grip.
"My son?!  What did….where is he?"
"Not sure…you can ask the shark outside.  I'm sure he'll know if there's anything left."
The priest made several sounds of disbelief before going limp, passing out from the news of his son.
"Leo…."
"Wait here, I'll take care of him and come back."  Leo started to walk off with the priest in tow but you stopped him with a shaking hand on his arm.
"You're…not going to k-kill him, are you?"
"Do you want me to?"  You vehemently shook your head in response and nodded.  "Then I will simply drop him off in town and come back to help you pack."
"Okay."
Leo smiled and cupped his hand over your cheek before leaving the house.  A few seconds after he was gone, your knees gave way and you collapsed onto the floor.  You didn't know how to process everything that had just happened.
Leo had a temper.  What would happen if one day you angered him like the priest or his son did?  Was he mad just because they had hurt you?  Or was there something else that set him off?  Would you be fed to a shark also?
What was worse was that you had nowhere to go even if you tried to hide from him.  He practically owned the seas and the island was small.  How the hell were you going to survive this?
You got up from the floor and quickly looked through your house.  You opened the chest that Leo had taken from the priest's son and threw some things in.  In the bottom of your closet you found the small box of knives your father had made.  You'd kept them for sentimental value as well as for self-defense.
Opening the box you took out one of the knives.  You wondered if it would be too obvious to bring all of them.
"What are you doing?"

BLOODRIGHT - VAMPIRE JAEHWAN AU - CHAPTER 12
Hello! And Happy Holidays!! I hope everyone is doing well. I can't believe we're almost at the end of 2021!! I wish for everyone to be healthy and safe! I decided to sit down and write since I hadn't had any inspiration for a while but I woke up today with some ideas so Merry Christmas to me from whatever muses follow me around!
I hope you enjoy this chapter and let me know what you think.
Any guesses on what kind of trouble the old vampires will cause?
🧛‍♂️🧛‍♂️🧛‍♂️🧛‍♂️🧛‍♂️🧛‍♂️🧛‍♂️🧛‍♂️
Jaehwan kept the horse at the slowest walk possible.  He wanted to spend just a little more time with you in his arms before he had to return to the house.  He knew guests would start arriving soon and their attention would be on you and that didn’t settle well with him.  He wanted to lock you up for the time they were here but he didn’t have the heart to restrain you like your parents had done.  He’d promised you’d be free here.  At least with him feeding, you would be able to rest in your room for a couple of days and not be bothered with the vampires coming.
He looked down at your sleeping form and tucked a few stray strands of hair behind your ear.  He would just have to keep you at his side at all times.  Penny and Min would also be able to keep an eye on you.
Taking the long way back to the house, he made mental notes of places to show you when you weren’t so tired and sleepy.  He just had to get rid of the guests and then it could be just you and him again.  That thought alone was enough to motivate him to tolerate the party.
—---------------------------
Once he reached the house, Penny came out to meet them.  He dismounted the horse and then pulled you into his arms.  Penny started to take you from him but Jaewhan refused.  She smiled knowingly and then walked beside him.
“Take her in her room, I’ll take care of her.  Guests will be arriving tomorrow and we still have some things to prepare.”
“When Min returns, tell him to come find me.”
“Where did he go this time? Was it far?  He should be here to help settle the guests.”
“I sent him to take care of some business.  It shouldn’t take long.  I will explain later.”
Jaehwan entered your room and placed you on the bed.  He tucked the covers around your shoulders before sitting next to you.
“Jaehwan….”
“I’ll leave in a moment.  I just want to make sure she’s okay.”
“She will be fine.  Her heartbeat is steady and her color will come back soon.  HaeMin was looking for you earlier.”
“I’ll look for him later.  Listen for her to wake up and let me know if she needs anything.  I’ll take care of the guests.  You and Min are responsible for her safety.”
“I understand.  She’ll be okay.  They can’t bite her and they wouldn’t dare hurt her in your house.”
“Most of them wouldn’t but not all of them are restrained by manners.  All of their rooms are arranged to be on the first floor.  None of them should even be up here.  If that happens, let me know and I’ll take care of them.”
“You won’t hear any arguments from me on that.  Go on, take care of what you need to.  I’ll keep watch up here.”
“Thank you, Penny.”  Jaehwan leaned down and placed a kiss on your forehead and then left the room before Penny could reprimand him for taking advantage.  He needed the contact in order to get him through the next few days.
Jaehwan sped down the stairs in search of HaeMin but he was already waiting in the foyer.
“I heard you return and waited for you down here.  Everything alright?  You were gone for a while.”  HaeMin approached Jaehwan with a concerned face.
“I fed while we were out and I am always concerned about taking too much.  Maybe I’m just on edge with everyone coming.  I took the long way back just to clear my head.”
“Or because you wanted more time with her….”  Haemin looked knowingly at Jaehwan, who simply glared in return.  After a second or two, the prince sighed in defeat.
“Maybe….”
“Don’t worry, she’ll become attached in no time at all.  From what I can tell, she’s got a bit of a crush already.”
“Don’t lie to me.”
“I’m not!  Between the two of us, who has more experience with women?”
“I won’t answer that question.  We can continue this discussion later.  I’m more concerned about the banquet.    I didn’t like people in my house to begin with but now that y/n is here, I like it even less.  Will you….”
“I will help keep an eye on the riff raff.  They won’t come near her if i can help it.  I would have done so even if you didn’t ask.”
“Thank you, old friend.”  Jaehwan clapped his hand on HaeMin’s shoulder and tried to clear his mind of his worries.
“Don’t let your guard down though.  These old geezers are cunning and have a superiority complex.  They think they can turn the members of the royal family into puppets.  Don’t let them anger you and don’t fall for their traps.”
“I know.  I just want these few days to be over with and everything can go back to normal.”
—-------------------------------
The next day, you woke early and attempted to make it downstairs only to be stopped halfway down the steps by a disapproving Jaehwan.
“Where do you think you’re going?”
“I wanted some breakfast, if that’s okay?  I didn’t want to bother anyone since they’re all so busy.”
“All you have to do is call for me.  I can do all that faster than you can step out of your room.”  Jaehwan reached his hand towards you and you took it, using it to help balance yourself.
“I know, but I hate laying around.  It just isn’t in my nature and it drives me insane.  If you don’t mind me going to the kitchen.”
“Y/N….if you ask for my permission to go somewhere in this castle one more time, I just might go insane myself.”  You stopped abruptly at his words.
“I’m sorry!  I don’t mean to be annoying!”
“That’s not what I meant, Y/N.  You know I have no problem with you going anywhere in this place.  The entire estate is at your disposal.  Just do what you want to do.  Assume you have my permission for anything you want, alright?”
“But I–ah!”  Jaehwan quickly wrapped his arm around your waist and carried you all the way to the kitchen.  Your face was a tomato by the time he lowered your feet to the tile floor.  He didn’t release you though and for him to be that close without dancing or feeding caused your brain to become fuzzy.
“You know….the color in your face has come back more quickly this time.  I don’t think I’ve ever seen your cheeks this pink.  It looks good on you.  You’re very beautiful.”  He slid his thumb across your cheek which caused it to become even more of a pink tint.  You looked up at him, unable to speak at his obvious teasing.
He didn’t look away but instead lowered his head until his lips settled on one of your bright red cheeks.  Your heart felt like it stopped when you felt his lips on your skin.  They lingered for a moment until you heard someone clear their throat across the room.  Startled, you pushed away from Jaehwan and almost fell backwards before he caught your arm and helped you regain your balance.
You looked over and saw Haemin standing at the doorway to the kitchen with a devilish grin on his face.
“My apologies for interrupting, I had no idea anyone was in here.”
“Do you expect me to believe that a vampire can’t hear if someone is in a room or not?”
“About as much as I expect to believe that you can’t hear someone approaching the room that you’re in.”  Haemin crossed his arms over his chest and chuckled, obviously enjoying teasing Jaehwan.
The prince turned to you and turned your body towards the tables covered with food and gently pushed you to them.
“Eat whatever you want, Y/N.  I’ll be back after I kill Haemin and send his severed head back to his wife.”
You gasped at his threat but they had sped off before you could even turn around.  The whole exchange brought a smile to your face as you touched your cheek where Jaehwan’s lips had been.  It was a nice feeling and you would be lying if you said you’d hated it.
—----------------------------------
Jaehwan caught Haemin just before he could escape out the front door.  There was no malice involved but both were strong enough to give a good fight.
“Dammit, Haemin, what the hell?”
“I’m sorry, my friend, I truly am.  But, the guests are going to be arriving soon and I didn’t want them to overhear your affection for your donor.  You know they will try to use something like that against you.”  Jaehwan released Haemin and the two straightened out their clothes.
“It wouldn’t do them any good.  There are no rules against courting your own donor.”
“That doesn’t matter, they’ll try anything they can.”
“Do you think if I start a fire in the house, they’ll decide to leave early?”
HaeMin laughed and started to say something but noise in the distance brought their attention to the front door.  The guests were arriving and Jaehwan instantly felt a knot in his stomach.  He instantly wanted to go back upstairs and lock himself in your room with you next to him.
Jaehwan started to go to the door but Min suddenly appeared behind him.
“I will take care of them, Your Highness.  I left some reports on your desk in your room regarding the business you asked me to take care of yesterday.”
“Thank you, Min.”
“Business?”  Haemin looked at Jaehwan, hoping for an explanation.
“I’ll let you know later, after this event is over.  You’re going to stay for a while, right?”
“At least for a couple of days after the banquet.  Unless, of course, my wife sends word to me.  For now, let’s take care of matters at hand.”
Min opened the doors and a rush of vampires flooded in with their attendants.
“Your Highness!  How lovely it is to see you!”
“Young Prince, we thought we would have to wait forever out there!”
“Your Highness, I have brought some treasures from my country!”
“This place is smaller than I remember.  My castle is much bigger!”
Jaehwan took a deep breath and walked forward with the best smile he could manage.

BLOODRIGHT - Vampire Taekwoon AU - Chapter 19
Happy Early Halloween my dears!!! I hope everyone is doing well! Fall is in full gear here and I'm all for it. Although I don't like being cold the colors that come with Fall make me so happy and calm. I've been spending quite a bit of time relaxing and watching dramas (lord help me, I'm addicted to wuxia and xianxia dramas lol). Since I work in the greeting card industry, my free time is slowly slipping away lol
I hope you enjoy this chapter and I will try to work on another one very soon! Don't forget to eat regularly and rest well. Allow yourself something that you don't normally because life is for living!!💖💖💖
🧛‍♂️🧛‍♂️🧛‍♂️🧛‍♂️🧛‍♂️🧛‍♂️🧛‍♂️🧛‍♂️
“Get to the point, Kaxon.”
“She’s not feeling well, is she?”
-----------------------
“You son of a bitch.  What did you do to her?!”  Taekwoon’s voice raised to a level you hadn’t heard before.  You jumped even though that voice wasn’t directed at you.
“I did nothing to her, per se.  If we are to be specific, you did it.”
“What in the hell does that mean?”  Taekwoon’s hand was in a tight fist and he had to remind himself not to throw the phone against the wall.
"Bless your little donor, she was a little too trusting, you see."  He paused to chuckle a bit but it just angered Taekwoon further.  "In all her distress, she failed to see that I had injected a small amount of poison into your leg.  Of course, it wouldn’t hurt you but if you bit her…..well, humans are so fragile don’t you think?”
“You sick bastard.  What was it?!”  Taekwoon’s mind was racing and he was trying hard to keep his body from shaking.  He didn’t want you to be alarmed but he was terrified.
“If I told you that, I’m sure you would ring up all of the doctors at your disposal to find a cure.  Why would I do that when I’m holding the cure in my hands right now?  It won't kill her so don't worry your pretty little head over that.  But, if you keep biting her, chances of curing it dwindle drastically.  All you have to do is let me meet her and talk with her.  Tell her what happened then she can decide a time we can meet.”  Kaxon hung up the phone and Taekwoon let out a short frustrated shout.
“What is it?”  Judging by Taekwoon’s reaction, you were almost afraid to ask.
Taekwoon explained what Kaxon had told him and you could feel a cold sweat form on your body.  You suddenly had trouble breathing and tears formed in your eyes.
“W-What will it do to me?”  You asked quietly, afraid of the answer.
“Nothing, you will be fine.  My mother is on the way with the doctor anyway.  We'll see what they say."
"Maybe…..maybe if I just talk to him…."
"No!  I don't want you anywhere near that sneaky bastard."
"But what if it's something your doctor can't cure?"  Taekwoon looked at you and his resolve broke.  The look on your face brought him straight to you.  He took your face in his hands and put his face level with yours.
"If the doctor can't figure it out…..I'll call him, okay?  At least let us try first.  I don't want Kaxon involved if I can prevent it."
You nodded in agreement and allowed your body to sink into his.  His fingers found the back of your head and massaged in various places.  The action did wonders for the headache that was currently splitting your skull apart.  You tried to nestle further into him and he just chuckled.
"Lay back and get some rest."
"I don't want to move."  To show your determination, you wrapped both arms around his waist and held on tight.
"You can't rest sitting up like that.  Here, lay down.  I'll stay next to you."  You scooted over to the middle of the bed and Taekwoon climbed in beside you.  Once you were both settled, you grabbed his hand and put it back on your head.  He smiled and resumed his massages from earlier.
You placed your head on his chest and curled one of your arms around his waist.  You didn't realize how drained you were until you stretched out beside him.  In no time at all, you had drifted off to sleep.
-------------------
People were talking but you couldn't make sense of what they were saying.  Everything seemed to be a jumbled mess and your brain was fuzzy.  You felt a hand on your forehead and you instinctively leaned into the cool temperature of the fingers.  Even as the haze cleared in your brain, you still found it difficult to raise your head or even open your eyes..  You just felt so tired.
"Her body temperature is way too high.  We need to try to cool her down while I wait for the blood sample to finish processing.  Once we know what we're dealing with, we can go further.  Try to get her body temperature lowered and we come back in a bit."  You assumed the man speaking was a doctor.  You wondered if Taekwoon's mother had arrived with the family physician.
You could feel yourself being lifted and soon after you were completely surrounded by ice cold water.  The shock forced your eyes open and you gasped, fighting to get out of the tub of ice water you were now in.
"Easy, Y/N, you need to lower your body temperature.  Just bear with it for a little, alright?” Taekwoon was holding your shoulders down in the water.  Your body felt like it was on fire but also frostbitten.  You didn't know which one was worse.
Your clothes stuck to you like a second skin and you struggled to take in even the slightest bit of air into your lungs.
After about 10 minutes of what felt like pure torture, Taekwoon reached for you and pulled your shivering body from the cold.  You had no remorse about wrapping your arms around his shoulders tightly, desperate even for the warmth of a vampire.  Your breathing was shallow and ragged.  Taekwoon held onto you in silent comfort.
"You need to get out of those clothes but do you think you can stand?  I can…."
Your fog-filled brain somehow understood what he was hinting at.  You had no idea if you could stand but your pride poked at you repeatedly to try.
"I'll t-try on m-my own."  Taekwoon started to argue but decided against it.  He knew your mind sometimes better than you did.
"Alright, but if I hear you struggling or about to fall, I'm coming in."  You nodded and he placed you on your feet.
As soon as he walked out of the room, you took a deep breath.  A couple of moments later, Taekwoon knocked on the door and then came in.  He placed some folded clothes on the counter beside you and left.
You looked at the clothes and noticed that he had tucked the underwear between the pajama set.  If your body temperature was working, you probably would have blushed but you had no idea if you even did.  Instead, you smiled at how he wasn't taking advantage of the situation.  He was completely serious.
Raising your hand toward the clothes, you saw how violently your hand shook.  You doubted you could stay upright long enough to finish dressing.  You thought that perhaps if you could manage the underwear then….
You swallowed hard at the thought of Taekwoon seeing you naked if you had to ask for help.  You knew he wouldn't try anything in your current state but you didn't know if you could mentally handle it.
After a few tiring moments, you had managed to take your wet shirt off.  Your breaths were coming quick but you stayed conscious somehow.
"Doing okay?" You jumped when Taekwoon's voice broke through your concentration.
"So far…."
"I'm just outside if you need me."
By the time you had taken everything off, you were almost spent.  Your vision was blurring and your throat was a desert.
You just needed to get the underwear and bra on…..
As soon as you were as covered as you were going to get, you tried to muster up the courage to call for Taekwoon.  You couldn't do it anymore.  Your legs felt numb and you couldn't think straight.  But asking for help seemed much more difficult than anything you'd done so far.
"T-Taekwoon….?"
"I'm here."
"Hel...I need….help…"
Taekwoon was in the door as soon as the words left your mouth.  He stopped for a half of a second before coming towards you.
"Why didn't you call sooner?  You're so pale."  He put his hands under your arms and lifted you up to sit on the counter.
"I...wanted to cover up at least…"
"What, were you afraid I wouldn't be able to control myself?"
"No, that's not it."  Your voice was almost gone but you knew he could hear it.  "I know you're a gentleman.  I just…."
"It's okay, love, I understand.  Let's get you dressed and see if the doctor has found anything."  He tugged the shirt over your head before taking each wrist to guide through the arms.  He gently lifted each leg as he covered them with the pants.  Once they were as far as they could get, he wrapped an arm around your waist to lift you off the counter.  When you were fully dressed, you noticed that your upper half was completely engulfed in the oversized shirt.  The pants also threatened to fall off at any second.  Taekwoon leaned back a bit and pulled the string on the waist so they would stay in place.
"Forgive me but I could not resist putting you in my clothes."
You laughed as much as your strength would let you.  Taekwoon placed his forehead against yours and sighed.
"Thank you for trusting me to help you.  I was in agony on the other side of that door.  I don't want you to suffer."
"I always trust you, Taekwoon.  I just-"
"It's okay, you don't need to explain.  Come on, let's get you back in bed."  He picked you up and carried you back into the bedroom.  Once you were settled in the bed, Taekwoon's mother came through the door.  You wanted to smack yourself when you remembered that she was there and she could have helped you get dressed.  At least, that way your nerves would still be intact.
"Oh, y/n, my dear.  How are you feeling?"
"I'm okay."  You smiled to the best of your ability and Taekwoon smoothed his hand down the back of your head.
"She's getting there.  Her body temperature is improving.  Did the doctor find anything?"
"I wish I could say he did but he's stumped."  His mother rang her hands nervously.  "I'm worried that we might have to rely on Kaxon."
"No."
"But Taekwoon, if we all watch him…."
"Mom.  No."
You took Taekwoon's hand and squeezed it hoping to reassure him.
"Taekwoon, I know you don't like him and I don't either but I'm tired.  I don't want to stay like this.  If he wanted to kill me, he could have done it when your car crashed.  You said that if the doctor couldn't figure it out, you would call him."
"Y/N, if he does anything to you….."  Taekwoon put his head in hands, looking utterly defeated.  You understood why he didn't want Kaxon around but you really had no choice.
Taekwoon pulled out his phone, sighed and dialed the number.  It only rang twice before the line connected.
"Taekwoon, I must say, I am surprised to hear from you.  May I know the manner of your call?  Business or pleasure?"
"Cut the shit, Kaxon.  Can you help her or not?"
"Of course I can.  But you have to let me in to talk to her first."
Taekwoon hesitated.  He didn't want to agree but he couldn't stand there and watch you slowly deteriorate either.
"I assure you she will be fine."
"Come now, or you won't have another chance.  Just you and no one else.  I will meet you at the gate."
Taekwoon hung up the phone and placed it in his pocket.  He leaned forward and kissed your cheek.  Turning to his mother, he took a deep breath and she nodded.
"I know, honey, we'll watch him.  He wouldn't dare try anything with all of us here.  He should know damn well not to mess with me and my family."  Your heart kicked up a couple of beats when you realized that she was including you in the definition of family.  The feeling gave you the courage to face Kaxon.
Taekwoon closed his eyes, not wanting to accept the reality of the situation.  He knew he had no choice and he hated relying on outsiders.  He sped out of the room not looking back in case he changed his mind.
He made it to the gate in a matter of seconds and noticed Kaxon was already there.  His rage doubled seeing Kaxon's cocky grin as he approached the gate.  The cause of your pain and suffering was right there in front of him and he couldn't kill him.
"Go help her and I just might spare your life."

Stay With Me - Demon Leo AU - Chapter 29
Hello my beautiful people! I hope you are all well and healthy. I always have you all in my thoughts and I wish you the best. I hope you enjoy this chapter.
Please let me know what you think. Depends on who creeps out of my brain next, I should have another update soon!
Enjoy!
😈😈😈😈😈😈
"I should have known you'd help those humans."  You looked around Leo and saw a woman standing there.  She was elegantly tall.  Her long legs were surrounded by a nearly sheer dress and only covered the important areas.  Beautiful long hair the color of the moon cascaded down her back.  Her arms were crossed over her more-than-adequate chest.  She looked at you and then focused on the feather you wore in your hair.  After she realized what it was, she leveled you with a glare that would have caused you to hide in a corner if Leo wasn't holding you.
"What are you doing here, Cresenda?  Shouldn't you be at home taking care of that child you keep trying to convince everyone is mine?"
-----------------------
"You don't need to worry about me.  You should be more concerned with yourself and your little plaything there."  She waved her hand towards you but it was far from friendly.
You felt Leo's hold on you tighten for a moment before he relaxed slightly.
"Leave, Cresenda, you aren't welcome here."
"Your mother invited me.  She said you needed some help with some pesky humans."  She moved close but Leo didn't budge.  He didn't want her to have the upper hand.  Black smoke swirled around your feet and you wanted to somehow bury yourself in it.
"I need nothing you have to offer.  My mother has no right over anything I do. She also has no power here.  This village, the forest, and everyone in it is in my domain."
"Pathetic, wasting your time on humans!  Don't try to delude yourself that you are some sort of hero.  Your powers are nothing compared to your father's.  You have to answer to him and you know he's always favored me."  Cresenda sent a look your way that was a mix of pride and superiority.
"That may well be….if he was alive."
"He's dead?!  What the hell happened?!"
"I killed him.  Now leave and I won't do the same to you."  Leo teleported and you were back inside the house.
"Leo…"
"Not yet."  He was mad.  He didn't release for a moment and took a deep breath.  Leo pulled away from you but still kept his hand attached to yours.  He went to the door and let out a shrill whistle.
The wolves were there almost instantly.  They gathered around looking just as serious as Leo.  He motioned for you to stay inside as he walked out to talk to the pack.  You noticed Danté breaking from the pack to sit at attention just in front of the door after he bowed his head to you.
"There is a she-demon that will try to enter the forest.  She shouldn't be able to get past the barrier burnished does, do not try to fight her.  She knows she is not welcome here but she will try nonetheless.  If you see her, alert me immediately.  The same goes for my mother.  Let the other animals in the forest know."
The wolves bowed and dispersed.  Danté stood and looked up at me.
*Please call upon me if you need my assistance, My Lady.*
"I will," you smiled at the young wolf, "but please just call me Y/N."
*Of course, My Lady.*
You sent him a playful glare as he trotted off to catch up with his pack.
Once Leo was back in the house, you could see how stressed out he looked.  His face was stone and for a moment you didn't know how to approach him.
He took one look at you and his face relaxed and he reached for you.  He saw the hesitation in your expression and the worry you held for him.
"I'm okay.  But I would be even better if you hugged me."
You smiled and wrapped your arms around him.
"Ah….much better."
"You're a hopeless flirt, you know that?"
"Sure, I do.  I also know that you like it."
*Did I miss something?  The animals in the forest are on edge.  What did you do now, demon?*  Sibena walked in the front door, looking around.
Leo used his best scowl on her but she ignored him.
"Be nice, both of you."  You playfully hit Leo's arm and then explained the situation to Sibena.
*That wreck of a she-demon always causes trouble.  When she couldn't bed this demon she went after my master.  He rejected her also so she tried to kill me in retaliation.  My master caught her and almost turned her to dust if his father hadn't intervened.*
"Why did your father like her so much?"
"She is the daughter of an old flame he was head over heels with before the marriage was arranged with my mother."
"Arranged marriage?!  They still do that?"
"This was a few hundred years ago, sweetheart.  It's pretty much non-existent now.  But I will admit that my father wanted to arrange a marriage with Cresenda and I.  When I refused, she started the whole thing with her son being mine.  That was about 6 or 7 years ago."
*As much as it pains me to do so, I will confirm what the demon has stated.  Everyone in the demon world knows he never touched her.  No one knows who the father is.*
Leo looked at Sibena, shocked that she sided with him.
"So if everyone knows, then why try to convince everyone?  Even your mother supported the idea."
"I believe they're trying to convince you.  My mother hates humans and Cresenda just follows what my mother wants.  But that still leaves the question as to why mother sought us out after she was released.  She never cared much before.  She says she didn't know our father was dead but I don't really believe that.  His death is the only thing that could have released her."
"So does she--"
"CAAH!!"
You jumped a good foot into the air and Sibena went on alert when you heard the noise.  Looking to the door you noticed the largest black bird you had ever seen.  It wasn't any bird you had seen before.  It looked like a cross between a raven and an owl.  Its head was as big as Sibena and its beak looked razor sharp.  Its eyes were as red as fire and its claws looked perfect for tearing into flesh.
"It's okay, it's one of Ravi's messengers.  He wants us to pay a visit."
"Both of us?  Can I even go down there?"
"Ravi can allow it for a while.  Sibena, you as well.  Hakyeon would like to see you."
Sibena was instantly alert and swished her tail and for a moment she looked like an excited kitten.  When she realized what she'd done she sat down and raised her head high.
*If my master commands it…*
Leo pulled you towards the large bird but you hesitated.  The closer you got, the larger the bird seemed to get.
"He can't hurt you, Ravi would kill him.  He can transport us all to the Underworld.  Just hold on to him.  Normally I could just teleport but with humans and a lynx….we need a little help."
You nodded and reached out to the bird.  Its big head bowed and you hesitated.  When you realized it was just saying hello you smiled.  You placed your hand on the side of its neck and was surprised how soft it was.  Leo placed his hands on your waist and lifted you up to sit on the bird.  You thought it would protest but it seemed completely at ease.
"I'm not sure he would be willing to give up a feather."  Leo chuckled, assuming you were thinking of that.
"That's alright, I'm pretty picky about the feathers I collect anyway."  You smiled at him and winked.
"Don't look at me like that or I'll cancel this trip and take you upstairs."  Leo's eyes brightened with the threat and you suddenly felt warm all over.  You cleared your throat and broke eye contact with him.
"Let's go, Ravi is probably waiting."
*Yes, please, before I throw up.*
As soon as Leo reached up to touch the bird, everything went dark.  You felt a rush of wind mixed with heat and then cold.  You wanted to reach out for Leo but you couldn't move.  You buried your hands in the bird's feathers and prayed you wouldn't fall off.  It felt like you were moving in a whirlwind but completely frozen at the same time.
After a few seconds, your vision returned and you were outside the familiar sight of Ravi's front door.  A wave of dizziness suddenly hit you and you swayed.
"Easy,"  Leo's hands came up and pulled you off the bird.  You leaned on him as his arms  came around your back to steady you, "it takes a little getting used to."
"Sorry about that," Ravi came out of the door and smiled, "Strix isn't known for being gentle.  But he's powerful and quick.  It was the best method I had of bringing you down here without causing too much damage."
"I'm alright."  You turned to the bird and patted its neck. "Thank you for the ride, Strix."
The bird leaned forward and touched his large head to yours.
"Watch out brother, Strix might give you some competition."
You laughed and turned to Ravi.
"As much as I think Strix is beautiful, I'm not sure how much competition a bird would be to Leo."
A large puff of smoke caused you to jump and you turned to see a tall man standing where Strix once stood.  He was young but had years of wisdom embedded in his still red eyes.  Long black hair flowed around him and his clothing matched the darkness.  His attire suggested that he had been around during ancient times, his robes flowing around him.  He was strikingly beautiful but in a "I bring destruction" sort of way.
"I'm not always a bird, milady.  And you are welcome to ride on me anytime."  The man bowed and took your hand.  Your jaw dropped at his words and you blushed a little.    He started to kiss the back of your hand but Leo was faster.  He grabbed your hand and pulled you to his side.
"Brother…..how fond are you of this….bird? My wolves have been asking for a good snack."  Black smoke lifted from the floor and you could see Leo's hair turn in all directions.  You almost smiled at his obvious show of jealousy but held it in.
"Strix...you should know better.  You're still on thin ice and I haven't ended your probation."
*This bird reeks of pheromones.  He wants more than what he is saying.*  Sibena let out an annoyed chuff and settled into an attack position.
"I apologize, miss, if I have offended you."  He bowed once more but you caught the half-smile on his face before it disappeared.  He wasn't sorry at all.
"Uh….maybe we should go inside before a war breaks out?  I don't feel like bloodshed today."  Ken came around and blocked Leo's vision from Strix.  Taking the opportunity, you grabbed Leo's hand and pulled.
"Let's go.  The sooner we get back, the sooner we can be alone."  You leaned up to whisper in his ear and you saw it twitch.  He seemed to think over what you'd said for a moment and then looked down at you with the most sinful look you had seen yet.
"Ravi, what did you want to see us about?"  Leo never broke eye contact with you while he was talking.  The look in his eyes made you feel as if you were completely exposed and you swallowed hard.  He saw your dilemma and smiled, knowing what you were thinking.
"Come in and I'll explain."
Leo let out a short sigh and then turned to Ravi.  He nodded and pulled you along behind him.  You were almost to the door when you heard running footsteps.  You looked to your right and saw Hakyeon coming down the road.
"Sibena!"  The lynx immediately took off and ran to Hakyeon.  Hakyeon sat on the ground and held out his arms like a child.  Sibena ran full speed at him and knocked him to the ground.  She nuzzled his face like a puppy that had just found its master.  Tears threatened your eyes when you realized just how much they had missed each other.
Leo tugged on your hand and motioned for you to follow him and let Hakyeon and Sibena have a moment.
Once inside you were greeted by Ravi's wife.
You smiled and started towards her.  Leo stopped you and leaned down to your ear.
"If you have any questions about what you were thinking about earlier, you can ask her."
You turned to Leo, confused at what he was talking about.  He put his hand on the back of your neck and smiled.
*She's pregnant.  Weren't you concerned about whether we could have children?*
You gasped at his blunt words and what he was insinuating.
"Get away from me."  You pushed him toward his brothers as he laughed.
With red cheeks, you sat down beside her and smiled.
"Here, have some tea."
"Thank you….my goodness, I don't even know your name.  I'm sorry, I should have asked before!"
"That's alright.  I don't even know my name."
"What do you mean?"
"When I agreed to live here with Ravi, I had to give up my mortal self.  That included letting go of my name, family, everything.  I have memories but no identity.  He's not allowed to tell me either."
You stared at her, unsure what to say.
"Don't worry about it.  I don't mind.  He did tell me that my name meant "love" so he just calls me that."
You smiled, thinking about how sweet their relationship was.  You silently thanked the powers that be that these demon brothers didn't turn out like their parents.
"What was the reason we needed to come down here, Ravi?"  You turned to the man currently sending lovey-dovey looks at his wife.
"We need to do something about our mother."  Ravi turned to you and then to his brothers.
"Agreed but did something happen?"
"She's been turning the Underworld upside down looking for something.  As soon as we got her down here, she didn't even look for Hakyeon.  She immediately went to the armory and started looking through there."
"Has she tried to contact our father?"
You snapped your attention to Leo and gasped.
"He's not dead?!"

Stay With Me - Demon Leo AU - Chapter 27
Hello!! I finished a chapter! Woohoo!!! Haha it feels like it's been forever!! I'm posting this just before I go into work so I hope you all enjoy it and I will check for replies after I finish!
Please let me know what you think!!!💖💖
😈😈😈😈😈😈
Try as you might, getting up the next morning was difficult.  When you opened your eyes, Leo was gone.  Your hand went to the empty spot where he should have been and instead found a feather, black with a red tip.  Smiling, you picked up the feather and brought it closer.  You rose up, painfully, and took a look at yourself.  You had been fully clothed and suspected that Leo had worked his magic before leaving.
It took you almost 20 minutes to get out of bed, walk to the bathroom, and finish getting ready.  You managed to put your hair into a loose bun and, as a finishing touch, attached Leo's feather to the hair tie.
You desperately wanted to crawl back into bed but you wanted food.  You hoped Leo had placed something in the kitchen for you.  Otherwise, you'd be at the mercy of the fruit basket on the table.
Once you reached the living room, you spotted Sabina pacing right inside the large glass windows.
"Hello, Sabina."
*Oh good, you're awake.*  The lynx turned to you and then stopped.  She chuffed and moved closer to you.
*Staking your claim?*
"What do you mean?"
*The feather….*
"Oh!  Um….well, it was a gift so what better way than to accessorize?"  You reached for the pendant at your neck and held it up for Sabina to see.
*You people are so strange.*
You shrugged your shoulders and went towards the kitchen.
"Have you seen Leo?"
*He went outside earlier and let me in.  He said something about the wolves.*
You thought for a minute and then you remembered what you'd said about the wolves hating you now.  Did he go to talk to them?  You felt a little sadness because you wanted to see them for yourself and make sure that they still liked you.
You thankfully found enough food to make some toast with jam.  You had only mentioned to Leo that you liked jam and suddenly every flavor was displayed on the counter.
You had just swallowed the last bit of toast in your mouth when Leo appeared in front of you, causing you to scream.
"Leo!"  The look on his face told you that he was amused at your obvious surprise.
"Sorry."
"No, you're not but I supposed I should be used to you doing that."
"I like to keep you on your toes….almost as much as I like keeping you on your back."  He smiled sinfully and leaned forward for a kiss.  His words caused a pink blush to spread over your cheeks.  When he pulled away, you couldn't do anything but smile.
"Devil."
"Almost...just a demon."  He winked and you rolled your eyes.
*I'm going outside to throw up if you need me.*
Leo also noticed Sabina leaving and snapped his fingers as she went out the door.  A light thud hit the porch and you looked at Leo, concerned.  He shook his head and smiled.
"Sabina must have found her snack."
"You're a total pushover when it comes to animals, aren't you?"
"It was a reciprocal agreement.  She watches over you and I give her snacks."
"If you say so."
"Did you sleep well?"  Leo usually changed the subject when you mentioned his soft-heartedness.
You nodded before leaning your body against his and humming in satisfaction.  You had always wanted a simple life with someone to share it with.  You were in bliss.
"Sore?"
"Mmm...exquisitely so."  He laughed at your content words.  His hand found the small of your back and kept it there until the sore muscles eased away.
His actions only caused you to melt into him further.
"Better?"  You nodded and his hand started roaming.  "Anywhere else?"
"No, everything is fine."  You wrapped your arms around his waist and squeezed.  His hand came up to wrap around the back of your neck and then stopped.
"I see you got my present."  His fingers touched the feather hanging from your hair tie.
"Yes, I did.  Thank you.  Are you sure it's okay to take out another feather?"  You leaned back and asked.  He said it didn't hurt to pull one out but was it really okay?
"They grow back, silly girl." He tugged on your earlobe and you shook your head to break free.
"But--"
Your protest was cut off with his lips covering yours.  You immediately lost all of your anxiety on the subject and pulled him closer.  He moved forward and soon your back hit the wall.  You held on tight with your arms around his neck.  His fingers buried themselves in your hair as you pulled him closer.  You couldn't get enough of him.  His tongue moved slowly against yours and you stood on trembling legs.
He pulled away suddenly and you groaned in protest without thinking.  He smiled at your expression and gave you one more short kiss.
"Why did you stop?"  You pouted for a moment and then looked up at him.
"The wolves are close by and I thought you might want to see them."
"Really?"
"Yes, I talked to them this morning and they agreed that what you had was a horrible dream as they would never reject you.  Even their youngest offspring know of your existence."  He smoothed away a strand of hair from your face and then teleported you both into the forest.
You stepped away from Leo to see several wolves gathered around.  From the looks of it, Leo had brought you to the north side of the forest which was close to the village.  The wolves tended to patrol the borders during this time.   You smiled nervously and then froze when the alpha came forward.  Visions of your dream that had seemed all too real flashed in your mind.
He moved forward until he was directly in front of you.  He suddenly bowed and you gasped.  You turned to Leo but he just smiled.
"He says that he apologizes for appearing in your dream and scaring you.  Also, he wants you to know that you never have anything to fear from the wolves."
Your heart sank knowing that the alpha was apologizing.  You went to your knees and held out your hand.  The large wolf raised his head and came closer.  He nuzzled your hand and you smiled.
"Please don't apologize.  It wasn't your fault.  You can't control what I dream about, right?  I'm honored that you came all the way here."

Just then, Leo laughed at something the alpha must have said and he nodded his head.
"Yes, I will."
You looked at Leo and silently questioned him.
"He told me to make sure and keep you.  I intend to."  He crossed his arms over his chest and smiled.
Without warning one of the older puppy came bounding towards you and sat at your feet.   He was part of the offspring that were born when you had first begun to stay in the forest.
"Well, hello."  You squatted down and scratched the back of his head.  The alpha made a sound and the pup instantly stood at attention in front of you.  Like the alpha, he bowed his head.
The alpha raised his head to look at Leo and he nodded.  Leo came forward and put one hand on the back of your neck and the other on the young wolf before you.
*Y/N, I have been given the honor to become your guardian.  As one of the keepers of this forest, you are under the absolute protection of the Wolf Guard.  I will do my best to protect you and become a loyal companion.  In order for the pledge to be complete, I require that you give me a name.*
You stared at the wolf, completely aghast at what had just happened.  You looked at Leo and he just nodded.
"It's your choice."
"D-Do you have one too?"
"Of course, I have the alpha."  In response, the alpha bowed and then stood proudly.
"Oh...um,"  You looked back at the young wolf in front of you and thought for a moment.
*In the case that you are unwilling, that is also acceptable.  You will still be protected by the Guard.*
You smiled at the wolf, amazed at how his voice seemed so melodic and comforting.
"How about Danté?"
*Yes?*
"Is that a suitable name for a guardian?"
*Of course, my lady.*
You blushed at Danté's reverence.  You thought anyone would call you that.  He bowed and you felt a rush of wind surge through the forest.  Leo removed his hand from you both and stood.
"I trust you will guard her well, Danté."
*With pride.*
You gasped lightly when you realized you could hear him.
"I can hear you without Leo?"
*Yes, my lady.  It makes it easier to call upon me when you need me.*
"Just Y/N, please.  I-I don't think I could ever get used to anyone calling me that."
*If you wish it.*
You started to reach your hand out to Danté again but Leo suddenly grabbed you around the waist and hauled you up against him.
"Leo! What--"
"Several humans just crossed the border to the forest."  Leo looked at the wolves.  "Take your pups back to safety, I'll check it out."
The wolves moved immediately and rushed into the forest.  You stayed next to Leo as he looked around for any intruders.
"What could they be doing in the--ahh!"  You screamed when Leo's arm shot out and stopped an arrow just before it pierced your skull.  Leo pushed you behind him as a few villagers stepped through the trees and approached slowly, bows drawn.
"Step aside, demon.  We will rid you of the witch that has threatened the forest and the village."

Stay With Me - Demon Leo AU - Chapter 26
Hello! I am posting this while on my bed...recovering lol. I had to have one of my teeth removed today after my dog, Jinx, decided I didn't need it anymore haha. Note to self: watch out for your dog's wrecking ball of a head when you're playing. He rammed right into my face and the dentist said it would be less painful and less expensive just to remove it. So now I'll look horrific until I can afford to have a replacement. Thank goodness for masks, right? Lol
Anyway, I hope everyone is doing well. I hope you enjoy my writings from the dentist chair haha. Lemme know what you think!💖💖💖
😈😈😈😈😈
Every sound that you heard in the forest made your heart stop.  Almost an hour of walking and nothing looked familiar.
Out of nowhere, you heard a howl.
The wolves!
You looked around and eventually spotted the dark figure of the alpha emerge from the trees.  He was always too happy to see Leo and visits usually accompanied a few treats.  You started to walk towards him but the low growl warned you not to.
"It's okay buddy.  It's just me.  I'm lost, have you seen Leo?"
Even after you spoke, the growling didn't cease.  If anything, it became more menacing.  Perhaps you were mistaken and this wasn't the alpha.  If it wasn't, you were in trouble.  Backing up slowly, your heart dropped when you heard another growl to your left.  Slowly turning your head you saw another large wolf appear from the trees.  You had never seen this wolf before and a cold fear filled your body.  You took a deep breath and then took off to your right.  You heard the growls and snarls close behind.  You ran for a few feet but the earth beneath your feet was quickly turning to mud.  It was getting more and more difficult to run.  The growls were getting closer and tears poured from your eyes.  You looked behind you to see one of the wolves lunge for you.  You screamed and tried to dodge but the world seemed to tilt.  You were falling now.  You fell for a few seconds but you couldn’t remember there being this high of a cliff in the forest.
Suddenly, your body hit water.  The wind was knocked from your lungs.  You knew how to swim but try as you might, you kept sinking lower.  Your oxygen was gone and your lungs hurt.  You knew what was going to happen.  You were going to drown.
ZAP
Just when you were about to give up an electric jolt went through your body.  It felt strange and you opened your eyes.  You couldn’t see anything around you, it was completely dark.
ZAP
Another jolt traveled throughout your body and this time you could hear a faint voice.  Desperate for help, you kicked and attempted to swim to the surface.  You could see a faint light above you and you tried to move towards it.  It seemed like it was taking forever for you to get to the surface but it always seemed out of reach.
ZAP
One more jolt and you were gasping for air.  You were instantly cold and now you were coughing.
“Y/N?!  Are you alright?! Can you hear me?!  Say something!”  You heard Leo’s voice but you were so confused.
Opening your eyes, you saw Leo hovering over your face.  You felt cold, hard tiles along your back and you tried to speak but more water sputtered from your lungs.  He helped you to your side to help get some the water out by hitting your back lightly.  Everything that had happened came flooding back to you and you pushed his hand away.  With all the strength you could muster, you began to drag your body away from him.  You still didn’t know what was happening and you didn’t want to take any chances.
“Y/N, what are you doing?  Where are you going?"  He stood up and stepped towards you.  You braced yourself for what this 'Leo' might do.
In a flash, you were in his bed, dry, and fully clothed.  He sat beside you on the bed and brushed your hair from your face.
"What happened, my love?" Hearing him call you this instead your name in a cold tone gave you hope that this was your Leo.
"I--" You coughed again and Leo pulled you up to a sitting position.  When you felt like you could speak, your voice was hoarse.  "I need to ask you something."
"Of course, go ahead."
"Where is the clock with the trees?"
"Under my bed in the box where it's been since you used it.  Why?"
"What about the statue of the three animals?"
"You know that isn't here anymore.  What are you talking about?  Did you hit your head on the tub or something?"
"Is my room still there?" You pointed in the direction of your room.
"Why would it be gone?"
"And my parents?"
"Are in the Underworld with Ravi.  Will you please tell me what is going on?"
Through half-choked tears, you explained everything that had happened.  His rejection, the wolves, and drowning.
"I went into the bathroom to check on you because it had been a long time.  When I got in there, you were under the water.  It was strange, though.  When I got you out of the water and on the floor, you were so still but breathing.  You had taken in some water but it didn't affect your breathing.  I couldn't wake you up.  I decided to try sending some electric current through your body and finally you opened your eyes.  It was until then that you started choking on the water."
You absorbed what he was telling you but what you had seen seemed so real that you were afraid that this was another trick on your mind.
"What about the wolves?"
"What about them?"
"They were chasing me, trying to kill me.  I couldn't find Gomi's cave or the waterfall we went to.  While I was running from the wolves, I fell in the water."
"You've been here the whole time, my love.  You never left the house.  It was only a dream.  The wolves love you, they would never do that."
"Perhaps…"
"I'm sure of it.  We can go see the tomorrow, okay?  But you should also know me.   I would never in a million years tell you to leave.  You've had too much on your mind." Leo's hand smoothed down your now dry hair.  The feeling was comforting and you were thankful that everything was just a dream.  Desperate to have him close, you grabbed his hand and pulled him towards you.
He understood what you wanted and climbed into the bed next to you.  You turned towards him and curled your hand against his cheek.  He didn't move, letting you do what you wanted to calm your heart.  Leaning forward, you placed your lips over his for a moment.  He kissed you back but let you set the pace.  You leaned your head back and smiled.
"You know, when I thought you really wanted me to leave and not see each other for a while, my heart almost stopped.  I had no idea where to go or what to do.  I was afraid that your mother would convince you to go with her."
"That would never happen, y/n.  As long as I'm alive, I want you next to me.  I know my mother is lying about the child.  I swear I will never ask you to leave my side."  He kissed you this time and you could feel his promise.  Even so, you wanted more.  You needed to feel him next to you in every way.  When he broke the kiss you wrapped your hand around his neck to keep him from going far.
"I want more."
"More?  I already promised.  You don't believe me?"
"Not that….I want more of what came after the promise."  Realization dawned on his face and a sinister grin appeared on his face.
"Ah...hmmm...how much more are we talking?  I need specifics in order to fulfill your wishes completely, you know?  Would you care to elaborate?"
You rolled your eyes and moved until you were sitting across his waist.  You leaned down until just an inch or two separated your lips.
"Take my clothes off and make love to me.  I want my body to be completely jelly by the morning.  Is that specific enough?"
Suddenly, Leo's hair went wild and black smoke crept into your peripheral vision.  The smoke curled around your wrists as Leo flipped you back on the bed.  Unable to move your arms, you were now at his mercy.  Leo's eyes shone in the darkness but held a sinister glint.
"You've gotten yourself in trouble, y/n.  I hope you're prepared to scream."

BLOODRIGHT - Vampire Taekwoon AU - Chapter Eighteen
Hello my valentines!! My weekend has been crazy so far with my greeting card job! I think it's been busier than Christmas! I would like to wish all of my beautiful readers a Happy Valentine's Day!
I hope you enjoy the chapter and lemme know what you think!💖💖💖💖
🧛‍♂️🧛‍♂️🧛‍♂️🧛‍♂️🧛‍♂️🧛‍♂️
Taekwoon picked up his cell phone and dialed a number that he hadn't in years.  He wasn't even sure if the number still worked.  The line picked up right after the first ring.
"Taekwoon, I never dreamed that you would ring me first.  I suppose that donor has some influence over her master after all."  Kaxon’s all too familiar voice now sounded sarcastic and calculating.  It no longer held any of its previous warmth and sensibility.  The change instantly irritated Taekwoon.
"Cut the bullshit, Kaxon, and tell me what you want."
"Well....in the simplest of terms, I would like to borrow your donor."
----------------------
Taekwoon's mood became darker and his body turned stiff.
"Did you think I would just readily agree to that?  Whatever you're planning, I would suggest that you rethink it right now.  You won't come near her.  Hell, I don't even want her to be on the same planet as you.  So try anything with her and I will make sure Khan becomes an only child."
"You're always so quick to threaten lives.  You won't even let me explain why?"  Taekwoon could hear the amusement in Kaxon's voice and he hated it.
"Does that even deserve an answer?  You knew I would refuse so why do I need to know what you're planning?"
"Because it could benefit you as well.  If you would only allow me some time with her then I--"
Taekwoon ended the call and had to stop himself from launching the phone at the wall.  A few moments later, the phone rang again. He pressed the answer button and yelled into the phone.
"Lose this number, asshole.  You can't have her, you son of a bitch.  Do you understand me?!"
"Jung Taekwoon, how dare you talk to your mother like that!  What in the world?"  Taekwoon jumped at the sound of his mother's voice and took the phone from his ear to check the caller ID.  Sure enough, his mother's number was on the screen.
"Mom.....I...I'm sorry."  Taekwoon collapsed into the chair behind him and ran his hand through his hair.  "I thought you were someone else.  I didn't look at the caller ID."
"Tell me what's happened, dear.  Is y/n alright?"
Taekwoon told his mother everything that had happened with Kaxon in the past couple of days.
"Just the thought of her being near that asshole pisses me off.  I'll kill him before he lays a hand on her."
"I know you will protect her well, sweetheart.  Just remember not to let your anger overrule your good judgment.  He's smarter than Khan and very slippery.  Call me immediately if you need any help."
"I will, Mom, thank you.  I'm sorry, I didn't ask what you had called for.  Is everything alright?"
"Yes, everything is fine, sweetie.  I only called to check in on y/n.  How is she?"
"She's sleeping.  She had to go through all of that with the wreck and finding me then I ended up having to feed because I was too weak to heal properly.  Mom....I....."
"What is it, Taekwoon."
"Am I putting her in too much danger?  You don't think....she'll resent me for it, do you?"
"Oh my dear sweet boy, you are so head over heels for her, aren't you?"  Taekwoon just groaned and his mother laughed. "Taekwoon, stop worrying so much.  She likes you, I know that and you know that.  But if you have concerns, it won't make any difference if you ask me.  You need to ask her instead.  Don't keep things from her.  She's a strong woman, she can handle it."
"Thanks Mom."
Taekwoon talked for a few more minutes before he heard y/n's heartbeat change rhythm.  He hung up from his mother and headed back to his room.  It only took him a second or two to climb the stairs and open the door.  His eyebrows furrowed when he saw you.
You had kicked the covers off and you were sweating.  Somehow, you had taken off the pants you had been wearing.  He was too concerned to be distracted by your lack of clothing.  He thought that maybe you were too warm but then he saw your face.  You were restless but something else was wrong.  He didn’t think it was a nightmare but your vitals were way off.  When he reached the bed, he touched your face to find it covered in a cold sweat.  You jolted awake and raised your half-opened eyes to Taekwoon’s face.
"Taekwoon?"
"Yes, love, it's me.  Are you alright?  I heard your heartbeat change and thought you'd be awake.  When I came in it looked like you were having trouble sleeping.  You feel as though you have a cold sweat.  Do you feel sick?"
"I don't know.  I don’t really feel all that great but it's probably from the loss of blood."  You raised up and rubbed your face a bit to chase away the sleep.  A short wave of dizziness hit you but you tried to ignore it.
When you opened your eyes, you realized that your pants were gone.  You gasped loudly and desperately reached for the blanket to cover yourself.
"Where are my pants?!"

Taekwoon chuckled and looked around the room.  He finally spotted a crumpled piece of clothing on the floor at the end of the bed.
"I assure you, I did not remove them myself.  I have been downstairs talking to my mother on the phone, I promise." Taekwoon chuckled and raised his hands in surrender.  You ran a hand through your hair and rubbed your eyes.
"No....I didn't mean to imply that you had done anything.  I know you wouldn't do that.  I had a habit of sleeping like this in my old apartment and I guess I wasn't thinking."
"I'm not one to tell you what you can and can't do.  If you're more comfortable this way, then I suppose I can allow it."  Taekwoon winked and your cheeks turned a nice shade of pink.  "In fact, if you ever feel too tired, I would be happy to help you with any removal of clothing."
"Taekwoon!"
Taekwoon laughed heartily at your obvious panic.  You put your head in your hands and tried to hide your embarrassment.
"I'm just joking, y/n."  He tried to get you to raise your head but you refused.  He pulled the hair away from your neck and leaned down to place a kiss on the nape of your neck.  You jumped at the contact and lifted your head to look at him.
"W-What are you doing?"
"Kissing you.....I can't?"
"No, I didn't say that.  You know I don't mind.  I was just surprised, is all.  What did you talk about with your mom?"  He didn’t need to know you wouldn’t have minded if he continued.
"You."
"M-Me?  Why?"
"She just wanted to ask about how you were doing.  I explained about what happened with Kaxon and...."  He hesitated explaining further and looked deep in thought.  You placed your hand over his and he looked at you.
"And?"
"And I asked her if she thought you would resent me for putting you in so much danger."
"Taekwoon, do you really use that brain of yours?  Why would I blame you for the actions of others?  If we're keeping track, you've been injured more than I have with all of this."
“My injuries don’t matter.  What matters is that I am supposed to protect you and so far….I don’t think I’ve done a very good job of that.  I don’t want you to regret your decision to be my donor.  Now that Kaxon has come into the picture, I’m worried about what he has planned."
"It won't do any good to sit and worry about what might happen.  All we can do is prepare the best way we can and just be cautious."
"I talked to him on the phone earlier, before I spoke with my mother."
"You did?  Why?"
"I called him.  My temper got the best of me and I asked what he wanted."
"So what does he want?"
"What do you think?"  You furrowed your brows for only a second before you realized what he was implying.  Kaxon wanted something with you.
"Do those two brothers have a one-track mind?"
"Their whole family is like that.  But I'll figure out what he wants.  He can't get in but I don't want you to feel locked up in here.”  He thought for a moment and then smiled.  “Should we go somewhere?"
"Where?"
"Anywhere you want.  Once you're feeling better, we can plan something if you want to."
"That sounds good."
----------------------------
Four days later and your condition hadn't improved.  You had taken the pills Taekwoon's mother had given you but they didn't help.  You felt so drained and could barely get up to go to the bathroom.  Taekwoon brought meals to you but you had a hard time keeping an appetite.
Taekwoon's mother was arriving today to see if she could help.  Taekwoon was currently trying to talk her out of it on the phone.
"Mother, you don't have to make the trip.  It might not even have anything to do with her blood.  She's running a slight fever and feels tired and achy so she might just be coming down with something."
"I don't care.  I need to see her for myself.  I called the family doctor in and he'll meet me there.  Make sure we don't spontaneously combust once we reach your gate!"  His mother hung up and Taekwoon sighed.
"I'm sorry, love, I tried to talk her out of it."
"That's alright.  It's nice, actually, to feel what it's like to be taken care of by a parent."
"Don't let my mother hear you say that.  She'll start planning balls and tea parties right away."
You laughed and started to ask about the kind of parties he'd had when his phone rang again.  Taekwoon lifted the phone to check the caller ID and a curse escaped his mouth.
"Who is it?"
"Kaxon.  He keeps calling but I'm not--"
"Answer it."
"But--"
"We can't figure out what he wants if we don't talk to him.  We need to know."  Taekwoon nodded and sat down next to you on the bed.  He answered the phone and immediately turned on the speaker so you could hear as well.
"What do you want?"
"Taekwoon, my old buddy, why is it so hard to get you on the telephone?"
"Because I don't want to talk to you."
"Ouch.  You really should get rid of that anger.  It will eat you up inside."
"Get to the point, Kaxon."
"She's not feeling well, is she?"

BLOODRIGHT - VAMPIRE JAEHWAN AU - CHAPTER 10
Hi everyone! I hope you had a good weekend! I hope a longish chapter is okay~ I wonder what could happen next~~~
Let me know what you think and enjoy!
🧛‍♂️🧛‍♂️🧛‍♂️🧛‍♂️🧛‍♂️🧛‍♂️🧛‍♂️🧛‍♂️🧛‍♂️🧛‍♂️
"Where are we going?"
"To greet the first guest."
CHAPTER 10
"T-the first guest?"  A sliver of fear momentarily went down your back and almost froze you to your spot.
"He doesn't usually come early but we are good friends and we wanted to be able to talk before the old goats arrive."
You attempted to keep your face stoic but Jaehwan saw right through you.  He was quiet until he reached the open door at the main entrance.  Before he walked through he turned to you.
"What's wrong?"
"Nothing…..I'm fine."
"This is telling me something different."  He tapped a spot on your chest just over your heart.
"I was just nervous about….everything."  You half chuckled to yourself thinking about how true that statement was.  "I trust YOU but I'm just nervous about meeting other vampires."
Jaehwan looked at you for what seemed like forever before he spoke.
"I am honored that you trust me.  You have no idea how happy I am to hear that.  I promise that this vampire is no one to fear.  I won't ask that you trust him because that would be forced.  But, I assure you that he has been my friend for a long time and a perfect gentleman."
"Even more so than you, old friend."
You jumped when you heard a male voice right behind Jaehwan.  You saw a smile break across Jaehwan's face as he turned around and enveloped the man in a hug.
They were similar height and looked about the same age but considering they were vampires, that didn't mean much.
"HaeMin, my friend, meet y/n."  Jaehwan stood next to his friend with a proud expression on his face.
"Your donor?"  Jaehwan nodded and HaeMin.  "She's lovely.  It is a pleasure to meet you, my dear."
Your cheeks flushed as HaeMin held out his hand for you to take.  When you did, he took your hand and raised it to his lips.  Before he could make contact, however, Jaehwan reached forward and took your hand.
"I have your room ready, HaeMin, follow me."  Jaehwan gently tugged on your hand for you to follow as he walked down the opposite corridor that you had just come down.  You took a peak at HaeMin and he winked at you as he chuckled to himself.

Jaehwan kept your hand in his while he traveled down the hallway.
"Do I have a different room this time?"
"Yes, the other one is permanently occupied."
It took you a few moments to realize what they were talking about.
"Was your room at the top of the steps with a view of the westward grounds?"
"Why, yes, how did you know that?"  You gasped softly and started to apologize but Jaehwan abruptly stopped.  He turned to you, ignoring HaeMin.
"Don't even think about apologizing.  He's stayed in that room once and it wasn't even furnished at the time."
"Y/N, dear, I'm only teasing.  I figured the rooms changed since you were here.  Don't mind my jests, I simply love to make things difficult for Jaehwan."  HaeMin clapped his hand over Jaehwan's shoulder and laughed.
"How is your wife, HaeMin?  I thought she would have come with you."
"She's at home, nesting."  It took you and Jaehwan both a moment to realize what he was talking about.  Jaehwan smiled brightly now.
"She's expecting?!  That's wonderful, my friend.  Congratulations.  Make sure to inform me when the little one is here so we can visit."
"Of course, we can't wait for him or her to meet their godfather."
"Really?!  You want me to be the child's godfather?!"  It was amazing to see such joy expressed on Jaehwan's face.  The more you understood their relationship, the more you relaxed.  You felt that Jaehwan was right to tell you not to worry.  HaeMin seemed like a good vampire.
"Well who else would it be?!  How long have we been friends and think of how much we've been through.  Oooh, perhaps I should enlighten y/n about your wilder days.  She might not like you so much then."
Your eyes widened at HaeMin's comments about Jaehwan.  Your mind wandered back to when Jaehwan explained his experience with killing people.
"Y/N, don't listen to him.  He's just trying to scare you."
"Well, I for one think it would be beneficial for y/n to know how much of a rascal her master was."  HaeMin winked at you and then you realized that perhaps he was talking more about Jaehwan's romantic past than the violent one.
"I-I'm not sure I should know about that."
"Of course you should!  There was this one time he--"  Jaehwan grabbed his friend and slapped a hand over his mouth.  The two struggled, HaeMin laughing while Jaehwan was annoyed.
"I think I will check if Penny needs any help with the chores."  You all but ran out of the hallway towards the kitchen, not from fear but to keep from hearing the stories HaeMin was so eager to share.  You didn't think you were quite ready for that.
Jaehwan watched as you scurried out of sight.
"Skittery little thing, isn't she?"
"That is an understatement.  She hasn't had an ideal life.  In all honesty, I would love to drain her parents dry only after I subject them to years of torture."  Jaehwan crossed his arms over his chest and sighed.
"It was that bad?"
"They broke her, HaeMin.  I aim to put a genuine smile on her face and keep it there.  They started what she calls ‘training’ when she was five.  Heaven knows why because there’s never been anything like that with donors.  She’s been abused mentally and physically and it kills me inside that she had no one there to protect her.  They told her to sign the contract before she came here or I might kick her out.  Even after all that, she still manages to keep a pure heart and doesn’t even bear any ill will towards others."  His friend was quiet for a moment before he spoke up.
"You've developed feelings for her."  It wasn't a question, HaeMin already knew the answer.  Jaehwan sighed and leaned towards the wall, letting his forehead tap against the wallpaper.
“Is it obvious?”
“Not to her, I don’t believe.  She’s far too comfortable with you.”
“You don’t think she’s afraid of me?  She’s still nervous about everything.”  Jaehwan peeked at his friend to see him holding in his laughter.
“Oh dear...you have completely lost to her, haven’t you?  I’m not familiar enough with her yet but judging from her body language, she doesn’t fear you.  She unconsciously leans toward you, especially with a stranger in the room.  I don’t think you have anything to worry about.”
“You’re not going to say anything to her, are you?”
“Of course, I wouldn’t.  I look forward to watching you bumble through that on your own.  Please do make sure that I’m present when you attempt to tell her.”
“Absolutely not!”  Jaehwan shoved his friend toward his temporary room and huffed down the hallway.  HaeMin watched as his oldest friend carried on down the corridor, most likely in search of his new found interest.  He smiled as he thought of his young bride at home and suddenly regretted not bringing her.
-------------------------
Jaehwan headed to the kitchen for the second time that day.  For some reason, he felt the need to make sure that you were okay.  He felt bad for not telling you about HaeMin coming early.
“Y/N?”  Jaehwan turned the corner and looked around the kitchen area but he only saw Penny and a few other workers.
“I thought she was with you.”  Penny furrowed her eyebrows in concern.
“She said she was going to come to see if you needed any help after I introduced her to HaeMin.”
“She never came this way.”
“Okay, thank you Penny.”
Jaehwan hurried out of the kitchen and listened for your heartbeat.  In the short time that you had been there, he had already memorized the sound of your heart.  He had made a habit of listening to the steady beat while you slept.  It was a nice change to the usual silence that permeated the house at night.
Following the sound, he was led outside and towards the back grounds.  He knew immediately where you had gone.  Heading off to the stables, he smiled proudly for being able to find you so quickly.  He reached the door to the stable and heard you talking.
“Do you think I’m silly?  Of course, you probably do.  You would most likely say that I was immature and stupid if you could talk.  But you know what I would tell you in return?  I would say that I don’t care.  I’ve never had the luxury of being immature and silly.  I’ve always had to train, act mature, and be careful of every word I say.”
Jaehwan peeked around the door and saw you talking to the horse he had gifted you for your birthday.  He smiled knowing you were happy with him.
“Y/N, are you in here?”  Jaehwan carried his voice in an attempt to make it seem that he had just arrived.  He didn’t want to embarrass you if you knew he had been listening.
“Jaehwan?  I’m here.”  You looked around the paddock and saw him coming through the door.  You sighed in relief that he hadn’t come a minute or two earlier.  Having a conversation with an animal probably wasn’t considered normal.
“I thought you were going to the kitchen?  I went to look for you there.”
“Oh, I’m sorry.  I had a sudden urge to see the horses so I came to visit.  I get easily distracted, I guess.  I can go help Penny now.”  You started to walk away but Jaehwan gently grabbed your hand.
“There’s no need.  They have plenty of help in there.  You can relax for a while.”  Jaehwan stepped up to the horse and stroked his neck. “Did you decide on a name?”
“Yeah, I think so.  I picked Fynnias.”
“That’s a fine….male name.  Is that...someone you know?”  Jaehwan turned his full attention to Fynnias.
“What?  Oh...no, I saw the name in a book once and I liked it.”
“Ah..right...of course.” Jaehwan cleared his throat and then smiled at you.  “Would you like to take a ride? With me?”
“With you?  Oh, sure, I would like that.  But what about HaeMin?”
“He’s been here before and he knows his way around.  He’ll most likely stay in his room most of the time sulking about missing his wife.  Come on.”  He opened the stall door and led Fynnias out into the cobblestone hallway.
You were stunned when Jaehwan leapt up onto the horse with ease.
“What are you---whoa, wait!”  You screamed when Jaehwan reached down and pulled you up onto the horse in front of him.  You struggled to get down but it was useless.  “What are you doing?”
“I thought we were going on a ride?”
“B-But….”
“You don’t want to?”  Jaehwan held the reins in one hand and put his other in the saddle horn, essentially wrapping his arm around you.
“It’s...it’s not that, I just thought we would take two horses.”
“One will be enough.  Fynnias is a big horse and you weigh barely anything so he can handle it.  This way we won’t get separated.”  You nodded, unable to say anything to refuse.  If you were being honest, it was nice being next to Jaehwan.  You did feel safer when he was around.  “If you are uncomfortable, we can take separate horses.”
“No, it’s okay.  I’m okay like this.”
“Good, where should we go?”
“I have no idea.  I haven’t really been out of the house much other than that time….when Mr. Timms came.”  You turned your head away, a pain somehow creeping into your cheek when you remembered what happened.  Jaehwan raised his hand and slid the back of his finger down your cheek on the very spot that Mr. Timms had hit.
“I’m sorry.  I can still take his head off if you would like.”
“No, that’s not necessary.  He’s gone and I’m happy now.  So let’s go.”
“As you wish.”  He whispered before sending the horse forward.
