Each time I spend the whole day gardening, I remember how much I love it. I forget about everything else.

Today’s work:

Getting rid of some creeping wild flowers (I’m not even sure they deserve to be called flowers…)

Playing with my daughter who discovered the color of yellow flowers reflect very well against people’s skin.

Used tiles to create a border, will probably continue next weekend

Moved an arch, which means we need two new plants

Got rid of a plant that will be replaced next weekend

Planted some seeds. Probably the last ones this spring (or even this year)

Things I’ll have to do:

Dig up the pear tree that just didn’t take. It’s been 3 (4?) years and still no leaves. I’ve lost hope. We’ll put something else instead

Dig up a lavender, one of these very round ones, mine looks too woody. The comparison with the two other lavenders (officinialis) doesn’t play to its advantage. But also we moved it a year ago, and it didn’t go very well. Last, it’s on the new arch side, so it has to go and replaced by something that will climb.

Buy a total of 4 plants and plant them (duh)

It is hard to go back to journaling when you haven’t done it for a long while. Where do I find the thought to write? Where has it gone? I feel like I’m trying to summon the person when I was on twitter, which I had left at least a year before joining tumblr. It is hard.

YEAH! Let’s do it! It’s tiring and exhilarating all at the same time! Finding some sense of community is what help me the most the few years I did it.

yup, I’m writing by hand. To be fair, when I started to write by hand again I was cramping too, but now it’s easier. I also remember some tips from a professional masseur to stretch the arms, so I’ll go back to that if I do a very long session.

NaNoWriMo 2020

I wasn’t doing it… but I changed my mind. In France, we say only dumb people never change their mind, so let’s hope it’s correct and I’m not choosing the dumb option 😅

I have 2 days to be ready… but I only have one thing to do to be ready: determine my average words per page as I intend to keep writing by hand. I’ll switch to typing if I must… but I’d love to do it in a way that works for me.

I’ll be writing The Dragon of Jamaedo.
