"Change Traits" mod update ! ✨

Hello !

Everyone loves children... right? 👶

But sometimes they can be a little... exhausting.

What if you had the means to make them more enjoyable? Imagine an infant who sleeps alone in his own bed, a toddler who wants to be independent... 😇

Unfortunately, we can't choose their quirks. At least, we can't. But now your sims can! 😍

I'm pleased to announce that life for your parent sims is about to get a whole lot easier! (or harder, if you like...)

This feature for adding/removing toddler and infant quirks is integrated into my “Change Traits” mod (Cheat Code). This new feature will be activated whenever you want to change a toddler's or infant's traits.

Following the recent updates to The Sims 4, I too have updated my mods.

Here are the changes:

👩‍🎓 Add / Remove a University Degree : 

You can now add or remove degrees for teenagers

Corrected icon display error

✨ Add / Remove Traits :

Adds the ability to modify hidden features. ⚠ But be careful when modifying these traits, or you risk altering important gameplay elements.

Interaction « Quit afterschool activity » for children (phone) 📱

Hello ! On the occasion of the release of my mod "Music lessons" 🎵 (available here), I noticed a small bug in the game. It was impossible to find the "Quit afterschool activity" interaction on the childrens' phones ! (Which is a bit annoying...).

So here's a little mod that solves the problem:

It works for all afterschool activities, not just music lessons (including activities added by other mods). 

⚠ If the Sims 4 team fixes this bug, the interaction will be displayed twice on the phone. At that point, simply delete this little package from your Mods folder, and everything will return to normal.

Music lessons for children and teenagers 🎵

Let me introduce you to my new mod: music lessons! 🎶

From now on, children and teenagers who are interested can enroll free of charge in these courses, which will take place from Monday to Friday, from 3:30 to 5 pm.

This is where they can develop their violin 🎻, piano 🎹, guitar 🎸 (for teens) and creativity (for children) skills, under the guidance of competent teachers.

With regular practice on their favorite instrument, they can become a member of the school orchestra, and then a soloist in the orchestra! Once they're teenagers, students can achieve the coveted title of "young prodigy", and win a prize 🏆attesting to their talent. (Present in the household inventory).

As the music teacher likes to challenge her students, they will regularly have to make choices that will enable them to gain (or not!) in performance.

Every Friday evening, music course students perform with the school orchestra. 🥁🎷🎺. It's time for the other members of the family to observe their progress by cheering them on!

To download the mod, simply place the ".package" file in your Mods folder.

Prerequisite: installation of XML injector

Compatibility : Base Game. (Note: if you don't have the "Get Famous" extension, the mod will work, but your Sims won't gain fame or reputation).

Potential conflicts: Other mods modifying "practice" interactions on violin, guitar or piano.

⚠ There's currently a bug in The Sims 4 that won't let you leave one after-school activity without choosing another. I've made a little mod that solves the problem, you can download it here for those who want it.

Add / Remove a Trait (Cheat Code) ⭐

Here's a mod that lets you change your Sims' traits very easily, without going through CAS! 😎

You can add or remove : 💡 Personality traits (defined in CAS): up to the number allowed by the game 🌱 Gameplay traits (obtained through play, such as aspiration rewards): unlimited number 🦇 Fears : unlimited number 🤪 Childhood phases (for children and teenagers only) : unlimited number

Voici un mod vous permettant de changer les traits de vos Sims très facilement, sans aller dans le CUS ! 😎

Vous pouvez ajouter ou retirer : 

💡 Les traits de personnalité (définis dans le CUS) : dans la limite du nombre autorisé par le jeu

🌱 Les traits de gameplay (obtenus en jouant, comme les récompenses d'aspiration par exemple) : nombre illimité

🦇 Les peurs : nombre illimité

🤪 Les phases de l'enfance (uniquement pour les enfants et adolescents)  : nombre illimité

You cannot change hidden traits, (those not shown in your Sim's description). However, the traits contained in the mods will be displayed, just like those in the game! 🤩

To add or remove a trait, click SHIFT + the Sim you want, then select "change traits".

Vous ne pouvez pas changer les traits cachés, c'est à dire ne s'affichant pas dans la description de votre Sim. 

Par contre, les traits contenus dans les mods seront affichés, au même titre que ceux du jeu ! 🤩

Pour ajouter ou enlever un trait, cliquez sur SHIFT + le Sim visé, puis sélectionnez "changer les traits". 

If nothing appears in the selection menu, check  that the Sim doesn't already have the maximum number of traits  (personality), or that it does indeed have a trait to remove!

Note: This is a cheat code, so you must have activated it in your game! To do so, press CTRL+SHIFT+C and type the code "testingCheats on".

Here's an aspiration that will help you (re)discover the all-too-often forgotten skill of robotics! 🦾

Objectives focus on crafting, repairing and enhancing robots, right up to the creation of a functional Servo!

Les objectifs consisteront surtout à créer des robots, les réparer, les améliorer, et vous accompagneront jusqu’à la création d’un Servo fonctionnel !

The Aspiration has 4 levels, each with 3 objectives.

L’aspiration comporte 4 niveaux, avec 3 objectifs chacun.

As a reward for your efforts, you'll earn the "Robotic Heart" trait, which allows you to automatically generate robotic components and upgrade parts ! 🔩

En récompense pour les efforts fournis, vous gagnerez le trait « Au cœur des robots », qui vous permettra de générer automatiquement des pièces de robotique et des pièces d’amélioration ! 🔩

Have you always dreamed of getting a degree, but don't feel like going to university? No problem! 😎

Vous avez toujours rêvé d'avoir un diplôme, mais vous n'avez pas envie d'aller à l'université? Aucun problème ! 😎

To add a degree, click on SHIFT + the active sim and select "Add a university degree". 

Degrees availables : Art History, Biology, Communications, Computer Science, Culinary Arts, Drama, Economics, Fine Arts, History, Language and Literature, Mixology, Physics, Psychology and Vaillainy. 👩‍🎓👨‍🎓

Pour ajouter un diplôme, cliquez sur MAJ + le sim actif et séléctionnez "Ajouter un diplôme universitaire". 

Diplômes disponibles : Histoire de l'art, Biologie, Communication, Informatique, Arts culinaires, Art Dramatique, Economie, Beaux-Arts, Histoire, Langues et littérature, Certificat de mixologie, Physique, Psychologie et Infamie. 👩‍🎓👨‍🎓

You'll then be able to choose the discipline and degree you want! (Normal, with Honors, Distinguished or Distinguished with Honors).  

The degree will then appear as if by magic in your sim's description, and will give you advantages in accessing higher-level careers!  🤩

A sim can have degrees in all disciplines, but only one per discipline.

Vous aurez alors le choix de la discipline, puis du diplôme désiré! (Normal, avec mention, prestigieux ou prestigieux avec mention). 

Le diplôme apparaîtra alors comme par magie dans la description de votre sim, et vous donnera des avantages pour accéder aux carrières de plus haut niveau! 🤩

Un sim peut avoir des diplômes dans toutes les disciplines, mais un seul par discipline.

How do I download a mod for The Sims 4? 💡

Download a simple mod

Downloading a mod couldn't be easier!

- If you have a file with a ".package" extension, place it directly in the sims4 "mod" folder (Documents -> Electronic Arts -> The Sims4 -> Mods).

That's all there is to it! 👍

- If you have a ".zip" file, you'll first need to use a program to unzip the file (such as Winrar). Then place all the unzipped files in the Mods folder.

Télécharger un mod simple

Pour télécharger un mod, rien de plus simple !

- Si vous avez un fichier avec une extension ".package", placez le directement dans le dossier "mod" des sims4 (Documents -> Electronic Arts -> Les Sims4 -> Mods).

Et c'est tout ! 👍
