Allow me to scream about this moment for a second:

I don't know if this was done on purpose, as in, the animators were considering the symbolic weight of it, when they decided to obscure Viktors only full on unreserved smile in Arcane via the magic. Don't know if they considered that showing it from Jayces POV would work as foreshadowing for what Jayce would later find out himself to be true: that the pursuit of creating magic was never about the magic itself, but about the person he created it with. That if he had only shifted his focus a little, he might have not missed the actual joy that was right there all along.

I also feel the need to point out how unguarded Viktor is in that moment. That he is looking right at Jayce when his smile is at it's brightest.

Also, it ultimately doesn't matter if this was a fully conscious or an intuitive choice from the creators. Even if it was a happy accident, the symbolism is there, and it’s beautiful.

Finished an old MH Viktor animation test

Another installment of my Jayvik Ballet AU

For some context:

This is a flashback to Viktor dancing with his unnamed partner. In my AU Viktor has a congenital condition, but as a kid he was kinda forced into ballet to try and “correct” or slow down the progression of it. Ballet can help with core strength and posture, but please don’t question my medical expertise ☝️🤓 Sadly, Viktor is pushing his body too much and it all culminates during this performance — Viktor ends up taking a fall during a lift and injures his leg badly, thus ending his career as a professional dancer.

I recently read Black Iris by @thetriickyowl and LOVED it, so I just had to draw Viktor from the story because I’m obsessed with him (featuring Jayce being horrified at his abomination of a slurpee)

It’s a classic tattoo artist/flower shop au and it’s very much worth the read :)
