🌹I have started a fan project of casting Pokémon in The Phantom of the Opera and will be sharing multiple artwork of such (this being page 2, see page 1 under the Pokémon poto tag). Don't ask me why, I just simply felt inspired!🌹

This page mostly covers the big popular song! And I already commented on the Little Lotte scene on page 1 c:

The descent! I enjoyed drawing the little Lampent lantern and am very proud of the hands :D

The big one! Not done any justice with my amateur coloring skills lol. I liked the idea of having Litwicks be the voices for the originally disembodied choir in the song. And they're candles, I couldn't NOT use them!

2 consecutive scenes, though skipped drawing Phantom Mewtwo removing his cool cape.

Not as many scenes on this page as the previous, but still very important!

I intend to keep this account mainly art-based, but I wanted to share these pics of me cosplaying as my fictional hero, Nausicaä (of the Valley of the Wind).

I can't express enough how perfect Miyazaki has written this character. She was the hero that every living thing in her strong but gentle presence needed, in the movie AND manga. If you haven't seen either, I strongly recommend.

She is everything I hope to be as a person.

I made another! Meet Boone, Zeta's "little" brother.

Way more easy-going than his busy older sister, Boone spends his days relaxing in Rito Village and foraging; He has quite the collection of anything from neat looking pinecones to monster parts. He may also relax in the nearest hot springs with his sister from time to time.

He never wears the armor Zeta gave him and doesn't know a thing about fighting, as much as she tried to teach him. Despite their differences however, they have a great sibling bond, and Boone may have been spoiled quite a bit by Zeta growing up.

Why is he a different penguin hybrid, you may wonder? Because 👍

Also, if his design looks familiar, it may be because I used the art of Surf's Up book for refs (a very worth it book btw).

Meet Zeta (zay-tuh), my Rito oc!

Confident and fiery, she spends her days hiking out in the Hebra wilderness - defeating monsters, clearing up paths for travelers, and fishing in the frigid mountain waters for anyone in need of food. Her willingness to take care of others granted her the nickname "Mama Z" by many of the Rito younglings. She spends her downtime soaking in hot springs and adding to her personal map of the mountains.

Small and flightless, but quick and sturdy, she makes a formidable foe against larger enemies with her excellent spearing skills (her biggest life goal is to vanquish an ice Gleeok). She's also the only one of her kind who can swim up waterfalls like a Zora!

She's only slightly taller than Link, but treats everyone like her children. She'll even host camp-outs in the mountains to train and teach survival skills!

Welcome to the family, Zeta!

Looks like I've found a new pastime : D

VERY IMPORTANT a dam in the Netherlands, the weerdsluis lock, is directly on a migratory path for spawning fish. They have a worker stationed there to open the door for the fish, but they can take a while to open it. So to keep the fish from getting preyed on by birds they installed a doorbell. Only, the fish don't have hands to ring the doorbell. If you go to their website, they have a LIVE CAMERA AND A DOORBELL that YOU RING FOR THE FISH when they're waiting, and then the dam worker opens the door for them! I can't express how obsessed I am with this. look at this shit. oh my god.

Please check on the fish doorbell once in a while :)

My Octoling-sona. Her fave weapons are the rollers and blob-lobber. She hates fighting, but loooves painting and will steam-roll whoever covers up her ink!

Her outfit under the raincoat, and 2 cozy sweater outfits.

My bf's Octoling-sona appears! He's a lil scamp, so she bandages him with her personalized bandaids. A lot.

He's also afraid of mantids, her fave insect!

Marker! I updated her coat a little so the zipper goes all the way down. And she has pockets!

I used to be an Inkling cause I liked the braid.

But I'm and Octoling now!

OK so right about here, I stopped being horribly ill and regained the strength to put more energy into drawing… phew! The art should improve from here on out (uhhhh week at least I think so lol).

I even came up with a headcanon for him:

He works as a night guard at a children's hospital, hence the toys. He always gives them to the sick children before bed so that they feel protected.

BUT HE'S THE ONE PROTECTING.

Also, the fun tats are all ideas he received from the kiddos.

Working the night shift can be tiring, so he's dozing off at his favorite coffee shop before heading into work for the night.

Literally named my Instagram username after my most favorite Wii game of all time and then they drop a trailer for an all new Endless Ocean??!? And here I thought it was wishful thinking that they'd port the first 2 games to Switch. But a whole new game with new animals and multiplayer???? BE STILL MY MERMAID HEART. Thank you, Nintendo. Just. Thank you. 😭💙🌊

Prehistoric mermaids! And a bonus Gobfin, one of my favorite Palworld pals (tied with Quivern).

Why are they all bald, you may be wondering?

Well.

I once watched a video explaining the scientific impossibilities of mermaids existing. One point made was that hair would never be able to grow long, or at all, for a prolonged time under water. So there you have it. Bald.

🌹I have started a fan project of casting Pokémon in The Phantom of the Opera and will be sharing multiple artwork of such (this being page 1 and I may have gone a little overboard with the Hannibal costumes lol). Don't ask me why, I just simply felt inspired!🌹

Casting Primarina as Carlotta Guidicelli was an obvious choice. She's literally a prima donna! And I felt making her shiny inflated her diva-ness even more 👍

I needed a rounder Pokémon who can also sing for Ubaldo Piangi and Kricketune fit the bill! I've given each Pokémon a special extra feature as well to make them unique and fitting for their roles, so Kricketune got a beard! Huzzah!

Although Meloetta's design was more vocaloid-based, she felt perfect for the role of Christine Daaé. I even gave her wavy hair!

Kirlia as Meg Giry was an obvious choice for me since I decided Gardevoir was Madame Giry (for her stoicism and secretive air). I had fun with those curls!

I considered making Giry's "hair" black, but decided to keep it natural. I did however give her slightly thicker eyeliner.

Lucario has big love-interest protagonist energy, so he fit the role of Raoul, Vicomte de Chagny just right. This Little Lotte scene was fun to draw! (It's also on page 2 btw, so you'll see it again later)

There were several runners-up to play the Phantom, most of which being dark or ghost type. But ultimately I casted Mewtwo for the role for his trickster and mysterious energy while also being a lonely outcast with a tragic background. (And he's og legendary 🙌) I enjoyed designing the Yamask-themed mask (one of the runners-up Pokémon for the role), and giving him a golden-lined cape.
