hi everyone !!! firstly, i want to apologise for not keeping my word and updating ctg like i promised to :,(

the past few months have been really tough on me, and i havent been feeling my best at all (i think thats reflected in some of my works like calla or the teddy bear universe bahah) my mental and physical health have hit an all-time low recently which sucks bc its christmas season n almost new years D,:

ive considered disappearing completely, but it would suck to just leave especially bc i treasure this little community n all the wonderful friends ive made on here so much <3

with that in mind, ill be taking a short break to focus on taking better care of myself, something ive neglected this past year. i hope everyone has a very merry christmas and a happy new year! may 2025 bring us the happiness we all deserve :)

it’s colder than you expected as you and jungwoo walk down the quiet street strung with golden lights, the glow wrapping everything around you in a warm, cozy embrace. you shiver, stuffing your hands into your coat pockets, despite it failing to fight the chill.

jungwoo notices immediately. he stops mid-step, tilting his head at you with a soft frown. “are you cold?”

“i’m fine,” you say quickly, though the way you shift your weight gives you away.

“liar,” he teases, a playful glint in his eyes. without another word, he grabs your wrist gently and tugs your hand out of your pocket.

before you can protest, he unzips his jacket slightly and slips your hand inside, wrapping both of yours in his. his jacket is warm — almost too warm, and so is his hand as his fingers lace through yours.

“there,” he says with a triumphant smile, looking ridiculously proud of himself. “problem solved.”

“you’re going to freeze now,” you point out, trying to sound scolding even as your cheeks warm.

he shakes his head with a mock-serious expression. “nope. it’s scientifically proven that i radiate heat because i’m so cool.”

you roll your eyes, but your laugh betrays you. “you’re such a loser.”

“you’re not pulling away, i win,” he says, grinning.

the two of you keep walking, sharing his jacket pocket like it’s the most natural thing in the world. every now and then, his shoulder bumps yours, and you can’t help but notice how he keeps slowing his pace to match yours.

“look at that,” he says suddenly, pointing toward a string of fairy lights wrapped around a tree. “doesn’t it look like something out of a movie?”

“it does,” you agree softly.

he stops and turns to you, his eyes catching the glow of the lights. “you know, this feels like a movie too,” he says, his voice quieter now, almost shy.

“oh yeah?” you ask, trying to play it cool.

“yeah,” he replies, giving your hand a small squeeze. “except it’s better, because it’s real.”

you feel your breath hitch as he looks at you, his smile soft and sincere. then, almost as if he realizes how cheesy he’s being, he quickly adds, “but don’t worry, i won’t let this go to my head. unless you think i’m leading man material.”

you laugh, lightly hitting his arm with your free hand. “you’re impossible.”

“and you’re stuck with me,” he says, leaning just a little closer, his grin contagious.

the two of you keep walking, his hand still warm in yours, the golden lights above flickering like stars.

before you can think of some witty reply, jungwoo glances at the lights above you and suddenly gets quiet. his eyes flicker to your lips, and for a moment, the world feels completely still.

“can i do something?” he asks softly, his voice just above a whisper.

you nod, not trusting yourself to speak.

he leans in, so slowly that your heart has enough time to start racing. when his lips finally meet yours, it’s soft and warm, just like his hand still wrapped around yours in his jacket pocket.

the kiss feels as gentle as the glow of the lights around you, and when he pulls back, his cheeks are flushed, and his smile is shy.

“okay,” he murmurs, his voice slightly breathless, “now it really feels like a movie.”

you laugh, your forehead resting lightly against his. “you’re so dramatic.”

“you kissed me back,” he teases, his grin widening. “so maybe you’re dramatic too.”

he shifts just enough to press another quick kiss to your forehead before pulling you closer, your hand still firmly tucked inside his jacket pocket as the two of you continue down the glowing street.

leaving jungwoo's house was always so much harder than getting there.

you came over today with the intention of spending the day with your boyfriend before you both went to a dinner you were invited to at johnny's house. this plan started off going well. 

jungwoo took you to your favorite café and you ate breakfast together while you talked about literally anything that came to mind; you had just seen him yesterday so there wasn't much to update him on. speaking of, leaving his place yesterday had become a whole ordeal, him begging you to stay, but you had to go home so you could at the very least pick up your clothes for today. with how yesterday went, you don't know how you didn't expect something similar to happen today.

the windows are open, a breeze floating its way into the bedroom as the sun goes to rest for the night. the two of you are currently tangled, limbs flowing over one another. you drown in each other.

"i don't think i can ever get up again.." he admits as he turns to face you.

the love in his eyes pours warmth over your body like molten hot lava. saying he looked at you as if you were his whole world would be remiss. he looked at you as if you were the world, ever expanding in greatness and beauty.

"woo, we're supposed to leave half-past eight," you respond, knowing it's a useless reminder "we have to get up soon or we're gonna be late."

"who cares about johnny's stupid dinner? i can describe delicious food to you from right here!"

you laugh at his exclamation, it's a sound that fills jungwoo with great pride, knowing he's the man who gets to draw that happiness out of you every day.

"i can't eat words."

"says who?"

"science, probably."

"forget about science, if we try hard enough i'm sure we can make it happen."

you don't bother to respond with words, the smile you give him says all that needs to be said. he smiles back. the sun has set, your bedside lamp being the only source of 'light', but jungwoo brings a light to the room that could outshine even the brightest of stars.

the kiss you share is just as beautiful as every single one that preceded it, lips meeting to further connect your bodies. it's familiar, and filled with many unspoken i love you's. if jungwoo was light, you are the prism that fractures him, bringing rays of color into his life he had failed to see before.

your lips part from each other, but your bodies don't, foreheads filling the lost touch. you stay like this for a while, words lost to you both. you don't know how much time passes before you can't help but peek behind your boyfriend to check the clock. it reads '7:56'.

"woo, it's getting close to eight." you whisper it like the words are forbidden.

he doesn't respond with actual words, but with a sigh-turned-whine that conveys his feelings perfectly.

"i know baby, i don't want to get up either, believe me." your hand finds its way to the back of his head, running your fingers through the ends of his hair.

"i wish you were ugly, it'd make it so much easier to get away from you that way." he says it so earnestly, you can't help but let out a laugh of disbelief.

"oh my god! are you trying to get me to get up?" you say through laughs.

"i'm just being honest! you are way too pretty for me, pretty."

"you're the prettiest, woo." he shakes his head at you with a smile.

silence envelops the bedroom again.

"are you really gonna get up and leave me?"

"we have to get ready, baby, we should've already started 20 minutes ago."

"i hate johnny."

you huff out a laugh at his ridiculousness.

you sigh, then look at jungwoo. he knows it's time, he frowns.

your legs begin to separate from his, not without protests from your boyfriend.

"this is genuinely the worst thing that's ever happened to me, i hope you know that."

you just give him a look in response.

you pull your arm out from under his head, and finally sit up on the edge of the bed. jungwoo goes silent, but looks at you with his stupid sad puppy dog eyes.

"it had to happen eventually, puppy boy." guilt seeps into your words, but you keep moving to get ready. you stand up, walking to the bathroom, fully leaving jungwoo to his own devices.

dramatic as it may be, his heart wants to cry at the fact that you've left him (gone to the other room). today has really shown jungwoo that he needs to just ask you to move in with him. he takes a good 10 minutes to lay in bed and mope before he starts getting ready himself.

after you both get ready and are preparing to walk out the door, you take one last look in the mirror. jungwoo cranes down to put his head on your shoulder.

"beautiful.." he whispers as he watches you watch yourself.

a shy smile makes its way onto your face. it's a word he says to you a lot, but he always says like he's awestruck. as if the word can't help but escape him, a confession of love that he couldn't keep in.

he spins you around to face him, "just know after today, this will be our house, not mine. i can't stand watching you leave me one more time, pretty."

your shy smile widens into an earnestly happy one, "finally, i was waiting to see how long it would take you."

he looks at you for a second before breaking into a smile, a small laugh leaving him. he doesn't say anything after that, just grabs your hand and leads you out the door.

you know him way too well, and he loves you way too much.

"mm? yeah, alright…" you simply answered, not looking up at her and continuing watching the choreography you need to learn until the month ends.

"hey, are you okay?" she asked. giselle was truly worried about you, she already told you about that and tried to help you with anything you might need, but you were so into that comeback preparation, she just couldn't do anything. "you need to eat, baby.."

"huh?" your eyes flushed open as you finally looked up at giselle, realizing how close she was sitting to you and the warmth of her hand on your shoulder was definitely doing something to you. you've never heard her using nicknames for you except one's that were versions of your name, but 'baby' was something new. and you liked it. a lot.

"no, no it's okay! totally fine!" you tried to sound not as excited as you felt, but oh you failed. "I liked it.." you whispered.

"nothing, let's go eat…" you quickly changed the theme and stood up from your seat, leaving giselle no time to think about the fact that you liked being called 'baby' by her let alone give her a chance to discuss it with you.

"are you serious?"

"dead serious." she nodded and you came closer to press a soft kiss on her cheek, pulling off quickly just to see a red lipstick mark on her skin and smile.

"I gotta go, but I'll text you later, okay?"

"how about this new kdrama that came out.. what was the name?" giselle pouted slightly while trying to remember the name of the show and she looked so cute that you already didn't care what you'd watch. your hands wrapped around her shoulders, pulling her closer to you. you breathed deeply, smelling her hair and smiling at the strawberry scent. her pink hair smelled like strawberries…

SUNBAENIM GISELLE! who can't let her members steal you from her because they want to get to know you better but she knows they'll like you so much and would try to spend more time with you and become friends.

"absolutely not, love. can't let ningning befriend you, she'll definitely gonna hang out with you all the time and then with us two together and then we won't have time for each other and—"

you rolled your eyes at giselle and pulled her closer to you, kissing her to finally make her stop rambling about nonsense. her lips felt so soft against yours. not just her hair, but she even tasted like strawberries. when you pulled out to breathe, looking at her with the most adoring eyes possible, you smiled.

"don't be silly, she won't replace you. nobody ever will."
