Book review post!!!
The following description taken from Amazon:
Sola Morte, former cat burglar and safecracker, has given up her old life on the wrong side of the law. On the run from a drug lord’s family, she is lying low far from Caldwell, keeping her nose clean and her beloved grandmother safe. Her heart, though, is back up north, with the only man who has ever gotten through her defenses: Assail, son of Assail, who never meant to fall in love—and certainly not with a human woman. But they have no future, and not just because she doesn’t know he is a vampire, but because he is not about to stop dealing arms to the Black Dagger Brotherhood. Fate, however, has other plans for them. When Assail falls into a coma and lingers on the verge of death, his cousins seek out Sola and beg her to give him a reason to live. The last thing she wants is a return to her past, but how can she leave him to die?
As a lethal new enemy of the vampires shows its face, and the Brotherhood needs Assail back on his feet, Sola finds herself not only a target, but a mission-critical force in a war she doesn’t understand. And when Assail’s truth comes out, will she run from the horror . . . or follow her heart into the arms of the male who loves her more than life itself.
This is book 16 of 21 of J.R. Ward's Black Dagger Brotherhood Series. I absolutely love this series❤️. The brothers are all a dream ✨️ I am behind in the series as I took a break from it a few years ago, but with the release of her latest book, Lassiter, I am back on the wagon and catching up with this fabulous series. I wasn't that fond of the main character of this book, he is not a brother, but I thoroughly enjoyed Vishous and Doc Jane's storyline and the introduction to the new evil villain. I can't wait to see what happens next! This take on vampires is something different and fresh. If you like paranormal romance, that's also a little gritty and Hot 🔥, I highly recommend this series!
4.5 out of 5 stars 🌟

Romance novel lovers, this may be for you!
Book description from Goodreads:
Eve Abbott has a problem-actually, make that a lot of problems. And they're all going to get worse the moment her toes hit the sand in Matchmaker Bay. Once a blissful summer escape, now the tiny town just reminds Eve of loss. Inheriting her aunt's beloved Mermaid Inn is the only reason Eve is coming back. She's definitely not ready to handle nosy neighbors, extensive renovations, or the discovery that a certain heartbreaker still lives down the street...
Police Chief Sawyer Collins always does the right thing, even when it costs him everything. Like Evie. He's spent the past ten years trying to forget her--to forget how right she felt in his arms, to forget the pain in her eyes the day she left. The last thing he expects is to see her back in town or to find that the spark between them is as strong as ever. Sawyer knows this is his only chance to prove that his feelings have always been real... before Eve turns tail and leaves for good.
This book took me a minute to get into, but once it took off, I was hooked. It is a lovers to enemies to lovers story, told in a beautiful setting that was very easy to picture in my mind. The town characters were easy to love, and although Eve and Sawyer could be frustrating at times, I did enjoy their story very much ❤️🏖🧝‍♀️ A great beach read!

This was a great book! 📖
The following summary was taken from Google:
The Silent Patient is the bestselling psychological thriller book in which a woman named Alicia murders her husband, then becomes completely silent through psychological treatment, in which her doctor, Theo, is obsessed with uncovering her motive.
I really enjoyed this book. It kept me guessing throughout and kept me in suspense. The story was told really well, and I never saw the ending coming. If you are a fan of psychological thrillers and mystery/suspense novels, I highly recommend giving this a read!

How long is your tbr pile? 📚
Have you read this book?
Mine tbr pile is never ending 🙂 I love that, though. I feel I will always find a book to read that matches my mood at the time. I thought I'd start tbr Tuesday. To help me keep track of recommendations and random books I find at the bookstore. I found this one yesterday about people who devour books and gain the knowledge and abilities of that specific type of book. Sounds super exciting to me. I've added it to my list. 🧝‍♀️

This description was taken from Amazon:
A weekend partying at a remote cabin is just what Mackenzie needs. She can't wait to let loose with her friends. But a crazy night of fun leaves two of them dead—murdered.
With no signs of a forced entry or struggle, suspicion turns to the five survivors. Someone isn't telling the truth. And Mackenzie's first mistake? Assuming the killing is over...
I liked this book 📖 There were many twists and turns where it kept me guessing the whole time. I did not figure out who the killer was until it was revealed to me. The ending was left kind of open, but I'm learning that's a Natasha Preston thing. Overall, I really enjoyed it. 🧝‍♀️

Book description taken from Goodreads:
One kiss lasts a moment. But a thousand kisses can last a lifetime. One boy. One girl. A bond that is forged in an instant and cherished for a decade. A bond that neither time nor distance can break. A bond that will last forever. Or so they believe.
When seventeen-year-old Rune Kristiansen returns from his native Norway to the sleepy town of Blossom Grove, Georgia, where he befriended Poppy Litchfield as a child, he has just one thing on his mind. Why did the girl who was one half of his soul, who promised to wait faithfully for his return, cut him off without a word of explanation? Rune's heart was broken two years ago when Poppy fell silent. When he discovers the truth, he finds that the greatest heartache is yet to come.
This book...it broke my heart, repeatedly 💔 I found the main characters Rune and Poppy so easy to love. Though this book is heart-wrenching, the message in this book is beautiful 🌸 It's a reminder not to take the small things for granted. Take notice of all the beauty around you. My cousin said it best, her take away was this, "It just goes to show that people going through the worst in life can absolutely have a positive outlook and truly live life like it's their last day" I loved this book, but be warned ⚠️ it is a tearjerker. I felt emotionally exhausted when I finished it. I cried multiple times 😭 "and my heart almost burst."
