I wonder… have you read any books by Natasha Preston?
I read one called The Lost, and it was super interesting. Idk why but I imagine the SK boys using a torture method they used in the book. Maybe two, depending on how long they decide to torment a rulebreaker.
If you haven’t read it you should it’s so good I fukin SWEAR. (Pardon my language lmao)
I am not familiar with the author so I likely have not read anything by her.
I could look it up sometime, though.

If you like this book, you'll love this book: YA Murder Mystery Edition!
If you liked "One Of Us Is Lying" by Karen McManus, you'll love "Killer Content" by Kiley Roache. Why? A knives out-esque twist with lots of prolific characters... And we still don't know who's telling the truth.
If you liked "A Good Girl's Guide To Murder" trilogy by Holly Jackson, you'll love the "Truly Devious" trilogy by Maureen Johnson. Why? Watching as our main characters piece every bit of information is enthralling... Almost as enthralling as what happens when you tunnel vision on a well-known murder.
If you liked "They'll Never Catch Us" by Jessica Goodman, then you'll love "The Lake" by Natasha Preston. Why? Campy (one literally takes place at a summer camp) stories that can show the bond between two people... And how far they'll go to protect each other.
(All creation credits go to the bestest platonic-babe in ze world)

I hate standalone books that end on cliffhangers. I NEED TO KNOW WHAT HAPPENED
It's even worse when the characters fate is "up to you to decide"

no one wants to know but these are all the books i read in April *jazz hands*
Tumblr media Tumblr media
(id show the actual books but i got all of them at the library)
anyways, all of these books were so good but my top three are
The Seven and 1/2 deaths of Evelyn Hardcastle (it’s a murder mystery mixed with Groundhog Day and the plot twists are immaculate, it’s also a standalone)
Three Dark Crowns (dark academia & royalcore, the betrayals the plot twists the ✨characterization✨. beautiful, it’s the first book in a 3? book series)
and Our Dark Duet (So so so good, it’s the second book in the monsters of verity duology, and the emotions and the writing are literal poetry, victoria’s done it again. I’d put it higher but the ending ripped my heart out)

The Fear by Natasha Preston
I enjoy her books because it's like watching a cheesy thriller movie. The entire book I thought I was right about the killer, got so excited that I was right, and then the last sentence ended with me my mouth falling open 😂

!Ghoastixx Gossip Hour!
You will be mine- Natasha Preston
/spoilers/
Ah. Yes. I remember this book. This was the first “horror” story I read. I was pretty much a scaredy cat as a kid and the first horror movie I really watched was one I can’t even remember the name of.
My mom actually recommended this book to me, as it was one of hers. I bought the first one and hadn’t read it (still haven’t, it’s on my shelf. Twins.) and I just decided to read this one first.
I ate this up.
My notes say for the time it took to read: ? - 9-28-21
Which means I didn’t date when I started it.
I think this is the book about Valentine’s Day? Yeah. Literally ate the plot twist up, had me foaming out the mouth and turning the pages ferociously.
My notes say: “Very enjoyable, my mom read them then gave the books to me, liked this one the best so far from the author. One of my names is the same as a character.”
I have no idea what “I liked this one best from the author” because I had literally never read a book by her before, but I ended up reading more from her and really like her. She’s still on my shelf. So.

Best 10 Books in.....Suspense/Thriller
I’ve comprised a list of the 10 best books from the suspense/thriller genre. This list is in no particular order and this list is only my opinions based on what books I’ve read in the past. Enjoy! A group of people gather at a lodge deep in the woods but it doesn’t end up being the retreat they think it is when a snow storm strands everyone there and people end up dying off one by one. My…

Welcome to the Valentine’s Day special!
5/5 Stars
This read was wonderful! My goal was to finish it before Valentine’s Day and it was quite the read! I loved the style, the story sucked me and it made me very anxious about what would happen next! It was definitely one of my favorite reads so far.

Book recommendation, thriller, young adult
The cellar, Natasha Preston, tw mentions of assault, kidnapping
Tumblr media
I love this book so much, not my favorite Natasha Preston book but I still love it. I recommend it, if you don't want to buy it there is a digital copy on Wattpad, on the author's account, Natasha Preston. The book is about a girl named Summer, who is kidnapped by a man named 'Clover' and she is locked up in a cellar, hence the name of the book. In the cellar are a few other girls, all named after flowers and Summer to is named after a Lilly. ' The flowers', as clover likes to call them, are his ideal perfect family. The girls keep the place tidy, they cook, every now and then Clover will buy them movies, books, etc. But it gets dark, Clover has a specified day every week where he assaults the girls, also I forgot to mention but the girls have a flower that they take care of, the flower their named after. If the flowers dies Clover will get mad and beat the girls. I won't spoil anything but I do recommend it, just take your time, some chapters are messed up and will require a break probably. Her other books are good too, I really liked 'The Lake' and 'The Cabin'.

Book Review: "The Island" by Natasha Preston
A trip to a private island goes wrong when murder is afoot in "The Island" by Natasha Preston! #NatashaPreston #TheIsland #bookreview #murdermystery
Cover of “The Island” by Natasha Preston   I’m back with another book review, and this time I’m reviewing “The Island” by Natasha Preston! Reading this book reminded me of my own murder mystery novel “Winner Takes All.” This is because both take place on isolated islands and, well, murder is involved. Here’s a quick summary so we know what it’s about: “Jagged Island: a private amusement park for…
