Okay so, for the past day instead of Homestuck I read chapters 1-8 or Psycolonials.

I wish I could say I don’t do this kid of thing anymror but literally this week I rage quit a fan comic because there wasn’t enough Vriska and too many fan characters(I’m joking, kind of, I got bored because the comic ended up being something I wasn’t expecting but now that I know what to expect I’ll go back in with open mind)

I never read Hivebent, I skipped it back in 2017 and never went back to catch myself up. At the time I just didn’t really care about the trolls all that much so I skipped to until I saw the kids again.

im going to try not to JUST post the author commentary of a page as much as possible, but i just really liked this one

For reference i have switched from the viz media adventure specific numbering to the old MSPA site wide numbering because most online navigation tools i care for using, use that, so its just easier. sorry if it gets confusing, ill start to say page names too if they're not especially spoilery

I beeeelieevvee that Page 1684 is the first time John’s glasses are drawn the way they end up being drawn 96% of the time, where they’re just grey rectangles on his face. Really this page, and the latter quarter of Act 4 in general feel very growing pains-y art wise. You can tell Andrew was trying to figure out ways to consistently get out good looking stuff a lot faster, so we have this weird mix of act 3 style and hero mode and what would end up being act 6’s style

This isn’t to say it looks bad though, I actually really like the way the entirety of act 4 looks, it’s a super underrated act overall in my opinion(probably not true, I’m not super into Homestuck fan spaces, I only just learned apparently people don’t like act 6 all that much)
