you only view it as being "dehumanizing" because you think dogs and other animals are worth less than humans. they're not. they're living beings that feel. animals can be happy. animals can be sad. animals can be afraid.

Hello, this is a bit of serious post, but I'd like for you all to pay close attention regardless.

Recently, there has been news that Israel has agreed to a ceasefire in Gaza, allowing for many Gaza citizens some moments of peace, not since October 7th, but since the 1940s.

This is incredible news and it frustrated me to see that there was nobody really talking about it.

On January 27th - 31st 2025, I would like for for us all to put a halt on posting in its entirety, including reblogs to stand in silence and commemorate the millions of lives lost. For all the children, women, and men who suffered so harshly at the hands of genocide.

But I'd like to also use it as a day of silent gratitude that there are still many who may finally be able to breathe, who are finally able to receive care after so much pain and struggling.

The rest of Palestine is still under rubble and ruin. They still need help. Please, keep speaking about it as loud as you can, post donation asks and reblog any that you see, and hold hope that Israel will listen and let them free as well.

If you feel that the duration of the halt is too long, please remember, 75+ years. They have suffered for 75+ years.

maybe i'm reading into this too much but the way that some people treat therians honestly tells me a lot about how they treat animals. if you think that being an animal is so "weird" then you probably treat your dog like an object rather than a living, breathing being. idk guys just my thoughts
