So, the thing is: Facebook and other apps don't only use GPS to track you, they also triangulate your position by mobile radio towers, Wi-Fi networks near you, even Bluetooth can show them where you are. Also, Facebook itself confirmed using your ip to track your location.

There is NO WAY to turn this off!
