Have been working over the holiday weekend, getting as many of the board images done on our subboards - Did more than 45 already with just about 15 left, *I hope* but they're almost done and it feels *great*

We have so much ready to go that we are now at the stage of getting characters accepted on-site - and, more exciting for me: Character-created businesses! This weekend, I hope to start getting some of those businesses their own boards on site to allow actual rping in those locations. From Personal Stylist Consultation shop to Clubs and Bars, we've got all kinds of things beginning to pop up! I also get to start prepping for our official full-speed-ahead grand opening launch in January this weekend with our "Adamore Founders' Day!" This special month-long event will celebrate the founding of Adamore, California, IC on JDCW, as well as our JCINK board OOC! I'm so excited; it feels like the day is getting closer and closer and closer!

One of the things I LOVE the most about developing JDCW so far, is our decision to allow species to be completely custom. "Why, what does that mean?" Oh, yes, let me tell you all about it! Here at Just Don't Cry Wolf, we view Adamore, our fictional town, as a melting pot of various different species, supernatural cultures and more all coming together to create the haven the city represents. To be able to appropriately represent this, I didn't want to limit our species in any way. I wanted the imaginations of our members to be the limit to our species.

Of course, I'm not going to say that without some full examples - here are just three characters with their own individual characteristics. And we do MEAN individual. Other Demons, shapeshifters, and other species, in general, do not need to all have the same abilities. We want you to be able to have a set of siblings with powers as different as their personalities. Like we said - your only limitations are your own imagination. Can't go wrong with a custom, fictional setting. And I'm rather proud of Adamore, California. I feel like it's the perfect example of just what your imagination can come up with - and leaves so much open for mystery and exploration. An Island made by the supernatural species, coming together to work together? Who knows what species have hidden what secrets in the caverns of Midnight Hollow, or what is being sold in the Vanishing Market Place. Whether a younger supernatural exploring the town, or a human stumbling across any of these locations - it's sure to leave your character breathless!

Nothing like having a completed and ready-to-go Guidebook. As of this moment, I think we've fixed any issues that have been found with it so far! Of course, I'm still constantly nudging friends to read over it just to make sure. You can never be too careful! But it does mark us one step closer to being ready to launch officially in just a few more weeks!

Our groups, because if you're going for a supernatural creatures theme as a site focus - why not use categories of horror movies to sort characters by! We have six amazing groups, with their own personality traits and world views to choose from! Are you like the charismatic Mind Games, who use their cleverness to empower themselves. Knowledge, not just to learn, but to use and grow with it. Or perhaps the compassionate Cosmics resonate with you, with an unwavering desire to understand the world, and individuals around them - empathetic to the world as a whole. Or perhaps you're adventurous like the Apocalypse Characters, who aren't afraid of a chellenge, will tackle everything in their life with a driving thrill for the unknown. What sort of character will you make? We cannot wait to find out!
