seeing all your black clover art as really gotten me curious about it, I'm wondering if theres anything I should know about it before i try and get into it :D

i am SO happy that my art has got someone interested in black clover! I'll try put some basic info I guess the basic synopsis is that its a shonen fantasy story where every person has magic. It follows a magicless boy as he tries to become the wizard king (one of the leaders of the kingdom). its a pretty classic shonen set up but its good at executing its tropes i feel (the side and female cast are great for a shonen anime/manga) You can either watch the anime or read the manga. It comes down to personal preference but i'd recommend the manga since the anime has some issues with characterisation and animation. The anime has 170 episodes but hasn't adapted all of the manga yet (it recently had its second season announced tho). The manga is still ongoing and releasing chapters around every 3 months, however its on its final saga. Theres not much else i feel is really important! if you watch the anime, i promise the mc's screaming gets better over time

Just had the realization that despite being the only one of the Villys who didn’t know that Grian was the one who broke the pillar, and being the only one who wasn’t part of the secret society responsible for the kills, Pearl still defended Grian just as vehemently as Gem did… she’s so willing to go to bat for her team even when the whole server was accusing Grain… she’s so willing to believe them.

Life Series Pearl you make me ill. You are so loyal and so good and I don’t understand why people keep questioning your loyalty.

There is an ache deep inside Pearl. Something that yearns to break free, to change, to be seen. Something that promises safety and familiarity; something that will make her whole. 

Pearl doesn't have time for that, though. The square hole is broken again, and she needs to fix it. 

It’s a little lonely at the base, she must admit– Gem and Grian have gone off to do whatever it is they're doing, once again without her. But she's comforted by the panting and occasional barks of her puppies, and very easily distracted by their big, cute faces. 

“Aww, I just can't stay away from you, can I?” she coos, kneeling down by the dogs and giving them all pets. Scratching behind the ears of one, she smiles at the way the puppy tilts its head to look up at her. “I still gotta come up with names for you, don't I? Maybe Grian and Gem will have some ideas.”

Speak of the devils and they shall appear; Pearl hears the familiar sound of the nether portal wooshing, and glances toward the base. 

A moment later, Gem bounds out of the door. She's a lot more energetic now that she isn't as sick, which Pearl is thankful for. Sick Gem was cute, but also a little pathetic. 

Not that Pearl has any room to talk. She's one of the most pathetic players there is. 

She stands, crossing her arms. “Well, look what we have here! Come home at last, have you?” 

Gem snorts. “Oh, come on. It's not as if we were gone all session.”

Pearl laughs, shaking her head. “Sure did feel like it! I've been languishing, Gem– languishing, all alone!”

“Stop being dramatic, Pearl,” Grian says, from where he's standing in the doorway, “I thought you grew out of your emo phase.” 

Pearl rolls her eyes. “Oh, you're both awful. I was going to ask you to help name my puppies, but I guess that's off the table now.”

Gem’s eyes widen. “No, wait! I have a great idea. You have three dogs, right?” She glances over at them. “Okay, yeah. So you could just name them ‘My’, ‘Chemical’, ‘Romance’.” She points at each dog for each word, and turns to Pearl with a triumphant smile after. “Aren't those perfect names?”

Grian laughs as he makes his way over to the two, carefully avoiding the square hole. “And when we get dyeable collars, you can dye their collars black so they can be emo just like you.”

Pearl throws her hands into the air. “Oh, my goodness. You both are absolutely hopeless. I'm not even emo anymore!” 

Gem and Grian share a look. “I dunno, Pearl…” Gem starts, “you still look pretty emo to me. Y'know, with your eyes and your outfit and your hair and–”

Pearl waves a hand. “Okay, okay, fair enough, but still! Those are awful names. Do you have any better ideas, Grian?”

Grian shakes his head. “Don't look at me. I'm terrible at naming things.”

“Okay, okay.” Pearl sighs, looking back to her dogs. “I suppose I'll just have to find names for them some other time. For now…” She grabs the gravel out of her inventory, and passes some to Gem and Grian. “...you two need to help me repair the square hole.”

Groans rise from both of them, but they take the gravel all the same. 

The idle chatter helps Pearl to ignore the growing ache inside her.

Hey, please read this, just getting this all off my chest helps a lot itself :)

I am Layla, a 17 year old student from Mussoorie currently studying at Woodstock International School. I've been inactive recently as I was busy with my A level exams and my household situation. Recently, due to my father getting unemployed (3 months ago), our family has been going through a really tough time. I in my school am on scolarship and much of my tution fee gets waived off but recently our condition has worsened and my parents are in a lot of mental stress as our school fees (me and my 2 other siblings) is a major part of our family's monthly expense. I really dont want my education to suffer with my exams going on and can't see my parents stressing about my tuition fee like this.
