Fushimi's glasses break and he has to wear contacts until he can get new ones in his prescription. He's had even more admirers pop up since he lost his glasses, but he's either oblivious/actively ignores them. He hates not having his glasses, he's had to go back to leaving his hair unstyled and straight to avoid looking exactly like his dad. He's grumpy about it the whole time and the only thing that makes it better is going home and having Misaki comfort (spoil) him.
Imagine everyone trying to convince him to stick with the contacts too and only Yata kinda gets why Fushimi's so adamant about having his glasses back because he knows how Fushimi feels about looking so much like his dad. Like say his glasses get broken on some mission, he's chasing a Strain and he gets knocked around a bit, his glasses fall off and end up being crunched by the Strain before Fushimi manages to take the Strain down. Seeing as the glasses were totally wrecked it's going to take a little time to get him a new pair, like maybe he has a particularly difficult prescription and the frames have to be sent away for completely new lens fitting and all that.
In the meantime though he does get a pair of functional contacts, not as good as his glasses but he can see and do his work and that should be enough. Fushimi's not happy about the contacts but without them he can't even read his computer screen and he doesn't have any spare glasses (I imagine Munakata suggesting he get several pairs for emergencies such as Munakata has, showing Fushimi an entire desk drawer filled with identical glasses). The first time Fushimi puts the contacts in it's early in the morning and he's standing in the bathroom, running a hand through his hair to style it and suddenly looking up to see that man's face in the mirror. For a moment Fushimi's hands twitch reflexively for knives and then he realizes that this is his reflection, giving a bitter laugh as he stares at the face that really is too much like that person for his taste. He runs a hand through his hair again, letting it lay more like when he was a kid and in Homra, and goes to get dressed.
All day at work people comment on his appearance, telling him he looks good and wondering about his sudden change of hairstyle to go with the lack of glasses. Of course everyone means well, noticing how you can see his eyes so much better now and a few more people end up with unexpected crushes, and no one really knows why Fushimi's in such a sour mood about the whole thing. He keeps himself from snapping too much at people, Fushimi's been trying to get better at this whole 'comrades' thing and he knows that none of these people even know who Fushimi Niki is, but still every time someone tells him he looks handsome without his glasses or asks about his hair he thinks about that face in the mirror and his teeth clench.
By the end of the day he's just worn out from the whole thing, walking back into the apartment with an even more sour look than usual on his face. Yata's sitting on the couch and greets him and imagine Fushimi just walking over and flopping right on the couch, arms going around Yata and burying his face in Yata's shirt. Yata's surprised by the sudden affection and asks if Fushimi had a rough day, Fushimi grumbles that his eyes hurt and he wants his glasses back. Yata wonders if the Blues were surprised to see Fushimi without glasses and Fushimi doesn't answer at first, Yata puts a hand on his head and asks if anyone said something bad and does he need to go punch people. Fushimi mumbles out a '...they said I looked good' and Yata's all okay that's fine though. Fushimi disagrees, still hesitant before mumbling something Yata can't quite hear into his shirt. He does catch the words 'that guy' and realizes exactly what the problem is. Yata pets Fushimi's head and says he thinks Fushimi looks better with the nerd glasses anyway, they suit him. Fushimi huffs slightly about the 'nerd' part and says his head hurts, Yata laughs quietly and says if Fushimi wants to stay in his lap for a while and rest then that's okay, softly petting his hair and just letting Fushimi be spoiled for a bit.

I didn't know I needed this in my life until now 🥺
They are legit my favorite writer
I've seen that you did strain fushimi and thought, what if he had a healing type strain and can help with the whole collapsing sword scenario? Or is it too deux machina? Love love love your posts and site 👍
It would be kinda deus ex machina but I don't care :D (And anyway I would argue it isn't any worse than Gora's convenient canon 'we destroyed the Slate but everyone gets to keep their powers anyway' ending). Maybe like say after Kokujouji dies even with Munakata controlling the Slate some of its power is still being released constantly and Strains are starting to multiply more than usual. Fushimi almost isn't even aware when he becomes a Strain, like he has a strange dream about the Slate and wakes up with a headache and a weird tingling feeling in his hands but nothing that screams 'Strain now.' He doesn't realize he has healing powers until days later, when he's hunting down a Strain himself and ends up getting injured on the job. One of his legs gets a bit torn up and he's really not looking forward to having to drag himself to the nearest taxi. He reaches down to touch his bloody leg and suddenly his fingers start glowing. Fushimi's eyes glaze over slightly as he expends a little bit of energy, fingers glowing brighter and suddenly his leg is totally healed.
Obviously this is a shock to him and Fushimi has no idea what just happened here. When he returns to Scepter 4 he reports the issue to Munakata, who is very intrigued that Fushimi has developed these new powers. He takes Fushimi with him to Mihashira where the Rabbits can confirm that Fushimi seems to have become a Strain. Fushimi clicks his tongue and complains about it, like why did he need to become a Strain now he already has powers and this is just another annoying thing. Munakata notes that perhaps it is a good thing, after all healing abilities should be prized. Fushimi grumbles that maybe, he's still not really impressed with the whole thing. Munakata stops in to check on the Slate before leaving and Fushimi comes with him, idly walking over to touch it like so this the Dresden Slate. When his fingers touch the Slate though he gets like this mental image of Munakata's Sword of Damocles and in his mind he focuses on one of the cracks, soft light starts shining from the crack as it begins to heal. Suddenly Munakata's hand grabs Fushimi's wrist and yanks it away, Fushimi stumbles all dizzy as he asks what happened.
It turns out that Fushimi actually was healing Munakata's Sword, when Awashima finds out obviously her first instinct is that surely this means Fushimi can just fix the Sword before it crumbles. Fushimi thinks this would make sense too, to keep Munakata from ending up doing something stupid like Mikoto did. Munakata warns against it though, noting how weak Fushimi was afterward and that was from just healing a small crack. He worries that if Fushimi were to heal an entire Sword of Damocles it would be too much strain (heh, 'strain') on him and he could die. Munakata tells Fushimi not to worry about it and that he will handle this scenario on his own but Fushimi can't get it out of his mind, that this power could be useful for Scepter 4 and keep Munakata's Sword from falling. He ends up like secretly trying to train himself, telling himself that this is just sensible because what's the point of having a power you don't use, but in the back of his mind he knows that this is all just practice – in the same way he sees Awashima trying to steel herself to eventually kill Munakata Fushimi is preparing himself to try and save Munakata instead.

Could you do one where yata dies and someone has to convince him to go to the funeral and how he would deal with his death. Also like who would have to tell him yata died and his reaction to it?
By 'him' I'm guessing you mean Fushimi? I'm sure he wouldn't handle it well, especially if this was like post-betrayal but before they've made up and he and Yata are still enemies when it happens. Like imagine Yata gets killed during some Homra mission, not necessarily even a 'Yata dies instead of Totsuka' situation but just a normal Homra mission that goes sour. Scepter 4 finds out about it of course, knowing that Homra will want to get revenge, and someone needs to wake Fushimi to let him know. In this case I actually think Munakata himself would go tell Fushimi, having some idea what Yata means to Fushimi and knowing that Fushimi won't handle it well (I also think in this scenario Scepter 4 wouldn't just find out on their own, I definitely could see Kusanagi specifically calling Awashima because he thinks Fushimi needs to know). When Munakata shows up at Fushimi's door and tells him that someone from Homra has been killed Fushimi knows immediately who it must be, if Munakata himself came to break the news. Fushimi clicks his tongue and steels himself, stating that he doesn't care so he doesn't see why Munakata bothered to come tell him, and Munakata gives him a gentle look as he says if Fushimi needs to take some time to himself he may have all the time he needs. Fushimi denies needing any time, his voice bitter as he says this was inevitable wasn't it, those idiots at Homra always rushing in without thinking, it was only a matter of time until stupidity got one of them killed and so why should Fushimi care, if Misaki finally ran himself into trouble that he couldn't get out of.
Of course despite his words Fushimi is totally affected by losing Misaki and it just eats at him, that Misaki is gone, that Misaki won't ever come back. He runs into Mikoto in the city and Mikoto tells him that they're having a funeral for Yata and Fushimi is just seething, like this is your fault you know. Mikoto just looks down at him calmly as Fushimi gets more and more agitated, like if you hadn't made that idiot think he was strong this wouldn't have happened, you may as well have killed him yourself and it probably doesn't even matter to you, one clansman is as good as another. Mikoto lets him vent, not getting angry or anything, just smoking a cigarette as he's like yeah, you're probably right. Fushimi's blinking fast, not even realizing that there are frustrated tears forming in his eyes and he still can't even move when Mikoto finally puts a hand on his head and then walks away, telling him he should come to the funeral.
Fushimi doesn't want to go, of course, because he and Misaki aren't friends – and because if he goes it's real, Misaki is really gone. Even so Munakata wakes him the morning of the funeral and accompanies him there, Fushimi standing far on the outskirts watching as he scratches at his tattoo and grits his teeth and finally he turns and just walks away because he can't take any more of this. Munakata finds him a few blocks away, sitting in an alley under the words 'til death do us part,' staring up at the sky and digging fingers into the bloody burn scar on his chest, still trying to process what the sky looks like in a world that doesn't have Misaki in it.

Surumi play among us?
The biggest problem is that by pure force of habit it's difficult for Fushimi to keep from immediately and loudly announcing when he's the imposter, like the concept of 'quiet betrayal' is difficult for him okay. I imagine they do better when playing against strangers versus with their clansmen because strangers don't know them and are unaware of some of the obvious tells when one or the other is an imposter. Fushimi always kills Yata first, without fail, and it totally pisses Yata off each time (they have to stop at least one game with some of the other clansmen because Yata immediately bursts out with 'dammit Saruhiko you killed me again!' and Fushimi clicks his tongue all you're not supposed to say out loud who killed you, idiot). Yata tries to kill Fushimi first but Fushimi's sneaky and pointedly avoids him, at which point Yata usually ends up losing because he's way more focused on trying to beat Saruhiko than to actually be a proper imposter.
Where they really shine though is games where they're both imposters, like as soon as they realize that they're both imposters they just fall back into a perfect rhythm. Even if they can't communicate verbally while playing they're still good at being partners and can usually guess what the other's going to do in order to work together to win the game. Fushimi's really good at bluffing too, Yata tries to play the idiot in meetings and then he lets Fushimi steer the conversation to other players in order to frame them as the imposter. When they win a game Yata gets really excited about it too and even Fushimi can't help but smile proudly as Yata talks about how amazing they were together.

What would happen if reisi’s aura turns into pink?
Munakata would take it in stride but his men have a hard time taking him seriously when he's glowing such an adorable shade of pastel pink. Like imagine he gets hit by this Strain and of course initially everyone's all worried, like what if something terrible happens to Captain what will we do. It turns out that the Strain power seems to have absolutely no effect and Munakata's completely normal (well, completely normal for Munakata anyway) except....his aura is now pink. None of the other members of the Blue clan have this problem, their powers are still blue, and Munakata can use the aura the same way he did his Blue power. Everything is exactly the same except when he activates his sanctum he glows a very cute and pleasing pink. Munakata assures everyone that he feels perfectly fine, while Awashima watches him and thinks that Captain does look oddly adorable today.
Also imagine at some point they run into the Red clan and Mikoto finds Munakata's pink aura pretty amusing, like you gonna join our side now Munakata. Munakata assures Mikoto that he still has enough power to keep Mikoto in line, glowing pink as his Sword of Damocles appears in the air above his head. The Sword is also pink and looks to be rather fancy and frilly, like the shape has changed in order to more properly match the color of Munakata's aura. Mikoto probably ends up giving up and going home, it's hard enough to take Munakata seriously as it is and this is just the last straw (well, almost last straw, the actual last straw is when Munakata's all 'oh, giving up already, Suoh?' as he pushes up his glasses and pink sparkles appear, Mikoto's basically like yeah I'm out).

Fushimi Niki is still alive when Saruhiko joins homra. Let's say he survives a bit longer than in canon. Just long enough for him to encounter Mikoto and/or Kusinagi shortly after finding out where Saru and Yata ran off to live and paid them a visit.
I think we all know where this is going and that’s straight to the land of Niki Face-Punching. So say Niki does live and of course he would want to know where his little monkey ran off to, I think Fushimi would try his best to slip out while Niki’s not present in hopes that Niki will just assume Fushimi’s not coming home for a few days and won’t realize that no, Fushimi’s not coming back to that house ever again. Of course Niki’s not letting Fushimi get away that easily and he does his best to track Fushimi down, in this AU I think Fushimi definitely doesn’t even tell Kisa where he’s going (assuming he even told her in canon and didn’t just leave without a word because it’s not like she cares anyway) because he specifically doesn’t want Niki looking for him. Niki has his ways though, probably using some less than savory connections here and there to try and track where Fushimi went. He’s not able to get much information until one day someone tells him about a rumor that a kid who sounds like Saruhiko being seen running with the group known as ‘Homra.’ Niki’s heard of these guys being gossiped about in the Shizume underworld but he’s never dealt with them himself, however he’s very intrigued by the idea that his little monkey seems to have found a new home and friends and everything.
So Niki goes straight to Bar Homra and maybe Fushimi and Yata aren’t in at the time. Niki doesn’t even mention that he’s looking for Fushimi though, Kusanagi greets him as a customer and Niki just smiles and says he heard this bar had some good alcohol. Kusanagi smiles pleasantly and says he’s flattered by the compliment, Niki grins as he sits down and orders himself a drink. Anna, Totsuka and Mikoto are all at the bar as well and when Anna sees Niki she gets this worried look and tugs on Totsuka’s hand. Totsuka leans down close to her, wondering what’s wrong, and Anna just shakes her head while still staring at Niki like ‘that person…’ Totsuka and Mikoto exchange a look and Totsuka gives Anna a smile and says why don’t we go upstairs. Anna gives Niki another worried look and then nods, Kusanagi doesn’t say anything but he definitely notes the two of them leaving and Mikoto actually gets up from the couch and sits down next to Niki, lighting a cigarette. Niki pulls out a cigarette of his own and holds it out for a light, smiling pleasantly as he wonders why a little girl was in a bar like this. Kusanagi pulls out his lighter to light Niki’s cigarette as he says that’s no business of Niki’s, still sounding all the pleasant and polite bartender. Niki laughs obnoxiously and Kusanagi slides him his drink, wondering what really brought Niki here.
Niki’s just like ‘Hmm? I just wanted a beer,’ acting like he has no ulterior motive except he has this shit eating grin on his face. He asks Mikoto if he’s Anna’s dad, Mikoto just blows smoke without answering and Niki pulls a face as he talks about his poor son who’s gone missing. Kusanagi’s still being polite like that’s a shame isn’t it and Niki says he and his son were so close, they played all kinds of fun games. Mikoto blows smoke again as Kusanagi’s casually is like 'is that so’ and Niki’s like you guys play games with that little girl too right, all kinds of fun games like hide and seek, or helping her out with research projects. Something in his tone makes both men on edge but Kusanagi’s remaining polite and Mikoto just keeps smoking as Niki talks about his precious son and hey, aren’t kids the cutest when they cry.
Kusanagi’s about to tell him to leave when the door opens and Fushimi and Yata walk in. Yata starts to greet Kusanagi but Fushimi stops dead, eyes immediately going to Niki who whirls around in his chair and gives the biggest smile, arms open as he’s like there’s my little monkey, daddy missed you. Fushimi’s already trembling with rage and fear as he wonders what the hell Niki’s doing here and Niki walks up and gets really close as he says it isn’t good for kids to run away from home and he came to take Fushimi back. Fushimi tells him to go away, voice shaking, and Niki’s like 'don’t talk to Daddy in that mean tone, Saruhiko,’ leaning in and smirking as he adds 'what will your friends think, hmm?’ That’s when Mikoto quietly gets up and taps Niki on the shoulder. Niki’s smiling still as he says not to worry, this is a matter between a father and his son and that’s when Mikoto just hauls off and punches Niki in the face, sending him flying out the door and into the street. Fushimi’s still standing there a little shocked and Kusanagi walks over and kinda gently steers him away from the door, closing it as he says mildly that they’ll have to call someone to sweep up the trash outside the bar.

What if both the different powers that Fushimi has tried to get in tune with each other. Like his powers tried to harmonize. But since they are from two kings, and totally different from each other in general, every time they remotely became balanced, It would literally rip Fushimi inside out. It doesn't happen often, but when it does, he has to stay close to (like right next to) one of either kings to tip the scale just a bit. What would Munakata and Mikoto do in this scenario?
Munakata would presumably be easier than Mikoto, since Munakata’s his King and he wouldn’t have to randomly visit another clan. What maybe happens is Fushimi’s been using his powers a lot lately and so they start becoming harmonized in a way that’s physically painful for him. He tries for a few days to ignore it, feeling increasingly uncomfortable, and eventually it gets so bad he can barely move. Munakata probably notices and ends up figuring out what the problem is. Fushimi is less than thrilled to find out he needs to hang out with Munakata all day. If it’s a slow day or a day off Munakata probably totally has a party planning all the fun bonding activities they can have together and Fushimi is reluctantly dragged off to the zoo or the amusement park or the museum (or possibly all of them in one day). If necessary Munakata prepares several flimsy work-related excuses for the occasion just so Fushimi can’t claim he’s in too much pain to go or something, like ‘My apologies Fushimi-kun, my presence is required at this important meeting and I’m afraid you will have to accompany me for your own health.’ Fushimi suspects he is being taken advantage of but it’s not like he has a choice. At some point the other members of the force go out chasing a Strain on an emergency or something and they skid to a stop mid-chase because is that the Captain and Fushimi-san over there in the ice cream parlor. Fushimi is not nearly as miserable as he pretends to be about it and would possibly be willing to admit under extreme duress that there were more actively terrible ways to spend his day.
Then maybe the next time it happens Munakata notes that the power has swung the other way and being near Munakata isn’t going to help much, it’s his Red powers that are having issues. Fushimi is extremely unhappy about the possibility of having to spend all day with Suoh Mikoto. Munakata probably has Awashima call Kusanagi and they arrange to have a meeting with Mikoto, the whole thing kept mostly under wraps because obviously the rest of Homra won’t be too thrilled about having the traitor hang around with their King all day long. Kusanagi and Totsuka maybe do a bit of legwork and arrange to have the rest of Homra go on like a beach trip or something, claiming Mikoto’s got some kind of King business to take care of so he can’t come along, basically clearing out the bar except for Mikoto, Totsuka, and maybe Anna. Totsuka suggests planning a fun day of doing hobbies together, Fushimi sits on the very edge of the couch near Mikoto and sulks. He’s probably pretty uncomfortable all day, since he still can’t breathe around Mikoto and he hates this stupid friendly atmosphere that Totsuka keeps trying to create, Fushimi betrayed Homra, he’s not their friend and Mikoto shouldn’t be trying to help him at all. Mikoto just looks at him and gives him a bit of a smile and tells him to just relax for a while already. Fushimi eventually ends up falling asleep on the couch beside Mikoto and wakes up feeling absolutely mortified, pulling away as far as he can and waiting to see if he feels any pain. As soon as he’s sure he’s fine Fushimi gets the fuck out of there so fast and refuses to answer any of Munakata’s questions about how his day with the Red King went.

Fushimi buries his nose in Yata's hair and says: "Your hair smells so nice of mint, my God, what shampoo do you use to wash it?" and Yata raises his head and answers: "I just fell asleep in the bushes»
Fushimi was probably trying to be romantic too and Yata ruined it XD Like imagine Yata's even been complaining a bit lately that Fushimi needs to work on his romance, Yata's always the one calling Fushimi stunning and complimenting his smooth skin and basically just trying to make the mood. Fushimi on the other hand wouldn't know romance if it bit him so his usual response is like 'your hair...looks less stupid than usual.' Yata's like come on Saruhiko, you can do better than that, like can you try to be at least a little more romantic. Fushimi has no idea how he's supposed to do that so he probably does some research, like he's stealthily looking up 'romantic phrases' on his PDA during a work meeting that he's not listening to. Hidaka spots Fushimi doing it and leans over in this totally too loud whisper wondering if Fushimi's looking for ways to make his boyfriend feel loved and now the meeting is no longer about work it is a Scepter 4 helping Fushimi-san make his boyfriend feel loved meeting.
That evening Fushimi comes home from work and he and Yata are cuddling on the couch and maybe there's some touching going on too, both their shirts are off and Fushimi finds himself feeling this sudden rush of affection towards Yata. He ends up pulling Yata into a close hug and kinda burying his face in Yata's hair, Yata reaches back to touch him and asks if Fushimi's feeling all right. Fushimi pauses and then he says that Yata's hair smells so good, like mint, wondering what kind of shampoo Yata used (Hidaka suggested the shampoo line and okay maybe it wasn't entirely a stupid one). Yata's just like 'oh yeah, I fell asleep in the bushes.' There's a long silence and Fushimi lets go of Yata, staring down at him. Yata's like what I was tired and Fushimi throws a pillow at him all I was being romantic you moron.

Someone in Homra has gotten married already and the others are talking about how nice it probably is - going home where someone's waiting for you everyday, someone making delicious food, being with the most important person forever, etc. Saruhiko is there because of Misaki and so they both get asked what they think about it by the others at the bar and the two think about it and in the end Saruhiko is like "Why would I need to get married? That's already my life with Misaki."(they live together)
So basically yes, they're married XD Maybe this happens post-ROK and Kamamoto's finally gotten married to Ayumi, the Homra guys are all jealous that Kamamoto's the first one to settle down with a girl. He's been away from the bar for a few weeks getting settled into married life and getting moved in with his new wife so when he comes back to the bar for the first time after the wedding all the Homra guys there want to talk about how he's doing. Fushimi happens to be there too, he and Yata are living together again and he initially stopped by the bar after work to pick Yata up so they could walk home together. Yata's running a little late though because there was an emergency at his part time job and so Fushimi's just sitting there in the corner of the bar nursing a drink and half listening as the guys all talk to Kamamoto.
Kamamoto's really enjoying his married life so far, like he's telling the guys how every day when he gets home there's a fully cooked meal and she even brought him a homemade lunch to work. Someone says it must be nice to come home to a wife at the end of the day and Kamamoto's like yeah, coming home to someone who's waiting just for you is the best. Being with that person and knowing you won't ever be apart is special, even simple moments like falling asleep together on the couch and she puts her head in your lap and you don't even want to move because you just want to stay like that forever. The Homra guys are kinda ribbing him like that's so sappy and Kamamoto says it's not, it's how married life is and you guys will understand once you're married. From the other end of the bar Fushimi clicks his tongue, Kamamoto glances over and wonders if Fushimi's annoyed about something. Fushimi shrugs and says he doesn't see what's so special about married life, everything that Kamamoto talked about is exactly how it is living with Misaki – they're together all the time, Misaki cooks him food and brings him lunch (and yells at him about vegetables), Misaki does his laundry and makes sure he's not overworking himself, he falls asleep in Misaki's lap and Misaki doesn't move until he wakes up, it's all exactly the same. Everyone's kinda staring at him now and that's right when Yata walks in. The Homra guys all turn to look at him and Yata's like 'what?', Kamamoto smiles and puts a hand on Yata's shoulder as he very seriously and honestly congratulates Yata on his marriage.

Fushimi does not like his last name, and Yata instead of the usual marriage proposal bursts into a tirade about how the Fushimi family is terrible and his last name reminds of them, and fuck them, my last name will suit you much more, Saruhiko. (Fushimi agrees)
I remember the tweet this came from XD Imagine Yata thinking he's so smooth too, like he's trying to be all nonchalant asking Fushimi to marry him and he doesn't expect Fushimi to just agree right out. Like Fushimi probably does kinda hate his last name, since it's Niki's name and if he could get rid of everything tying him to Niki and his terrible relatives he would be more than happy to lose it. Yata's aware of that too, every now and again Fushimi mentions it and meanwhile Yata's been thinking for a while that if he and Fushimi got married he should definitely ask Fushimi to take his name. One day Fushimi's feeling down about his family again, like maybe one of Niki's relatives dies and they reach out to Fushimi because he could possibly have some claim to the inheritance. Fushimi's all disgusted again that this is all those people think about and he grumbles that he would rather not even have this last name at all, he isn't part of those people.
Yata can feel Fushimi's frustration and he just blurts it out, like he knows Fushimi hates his last name and his family and in that case he should just say fuck them and get rid of his last name. Fushimi raises an eyebrow like society generally requires me to have a last name Misaki, Yata coughs awkwardly and then leans back all deceptively casual as he likes well in that case I guess you'll just have to take mine. There's a pause and Yata holds his breath a little, not even daring to glance at Fushimi and then Fushimi just says bluntly 'I agree.' Yata immediately sits straight up like really you agree and Fushimi says why wouldn't he, Yata's face is getting warm as he clarifies that he means marriage, he wants Fushimi to marry him and take his name and Yata can help him forget everything about the shitty family that doesn't deserve him. Fushimi clicks his tongue and there's a slight flush on his cheeks as he mumbles that yeah, he figured that was what Yata meant and it's still yes, and that he wants to share Yata's name.

Fushimi tries to kill himself but is being saved. Munakata tells Kusanagi and he then informs Yata of what happened. How would that change Yatas feelings pre ROK? Would he question himself and his actions towards Fushimi? Would he reach out to him? Thanks!
I definitely think Yata would want to reach out to Fushimi but I'm not sure if Fushimi would reciprocate in this scenario. I imagine this happening post-MK but before ROK, like just seeing Yata with a new King and back together with his clan starts to push Fushimi over the edge a bit and just in general he's having issues with depression. Maybe he ends up messing up some big mission too, something that makes him feel like he's worthless and doesn't have a place in Scepter 4 and it's like once again he doesn't belong anywhere at the same time that he's watching Yata build up his own place to belong. One evening Fushimi just gets overwhelmed by his mental issues and ends up harming himself. Luckily he manages to be saved, say he like stabs himself while at the office but as it happens Akiyama was staying late to finish some paperwork and he finds Fushimi and is able to call an ambulance in time. In the aftermath of course Munakata is doing whatever he can in order to help ease Fushimi's mental strain, Fushimi refuses to admit that he tried to kill himself but it's obvious to everyone and they're all concerned.
Awashima ends up calling Kusanagi because she feels he should know and that leaves Kusanagi in the position of having to tell Yata. Naturally Yata's immediately concerned, he probably wants to march right down to the hospital to see Saruhiko immediately and Kusanagi has to hold him back, knowing that Yata won't be allowed in to Fushimi's room. Yata's pretty on edge for the next few days though, especially after losing Mikoto and Totsuka I think the possibility of losing Saruhiko as well – and without understanding him at all – would weigh on him. Kusanagi keeps in touch with Awashima and lets Yata know when Fushimi's out of the hospital, Yata wants to go see him but everyone keeps trying to dissuade him. Maybe at some point Yata even calls Scepter 4 and he ends up talking to Munakata of all people, who isn't unkind exactly but he's very stern and serious as he says that Fushimi's in a fragile mental state currently and in Munakata's opinion Yata's presence would only make such a thing worse.
That would definitely be a blow to Yata, like first he's just pissed at Munakata for saying that to him but then thinking about it he starts to kinda worry, like would he be detrimental to Fushimi and when did they get to a point that even Yata seeing Fushimi would take a toll on his mental health. I feel like Yata would just be very frustrated though, even with Munakata telling him that in his heart Yata's just more worried than anything and he doesn't want to lose another precious person without ever understanding them, he wants to find out why Fushimi almost killed himself and what Fushimi's been feeling all this time, why he left and how can Yata make things right, and everyone telling him to stay away just makes him even more determined to keep reaching out to Saruhiko until he understands.
