“Just Us MA’s – The A’Tierra Westbrook Project” was born in honor of our dear A’Tierra Westbrook who was viciously murdered on August 3, 2015 in Vallejo, CA. “MA’s” stands for “mothers and aunts” and is named for our mother-aunt-aunt trio who have been tremendously affected by the tragic and unexpected loss of our beloved baby girl. Mothers hurt like no other when their child is senselessly murdered, they bear the pain forever. Aunts are like second mothers and feel the hurt their sibling experiences. It is vital to have the support of your sister – being blood related or not…..I AM MY SISTER’S KEEPER!! On this journey, we have vowed not to let our precious A’Tierra’s death be in vain. We have vowed to be a part of the solution to the problems that plague our communities and perpetuate violence. Through partnership with other organizations, agencies and support groups; we hope to provide skill building, preventative and supportive services to victims of violence, families of victims and perpetrators and their surrounding communities. On August 8th 2015 I was finalizing my daughter's funeral arrangements. On August 8th 2017 the HORRIBLE COWARDS who stole her life were in court moving one step closer to paying for this henious crime. A Preliminary Hearing was set for November 27th 2017. During a preliminary hearing the judge decides if there is enough evidence for the defendants to stand trial. I'm not worried about this because I KNOW there is enough evidence for that to happen. This hearing is expected to last 2-3 days. I am anxiously awaiting it because there are so many unanswered questions I have. EVERTHING will be revealed and ALL things done in the dark WILL come to light!! I can't wait until I know exactly what happened and how these COWARDLY MONSTERS knew where my daughter lived! I hope those punks that hurt my niece can't sleep. I hope those concrete walls and bunks drive them crazy! I hope their souls are disturbed and my niece's face and spirit tortures them forever!! Although arrests have been made, detectives continue to work the case. If you have any information, please contact the Sheriff’s Office Investigation Bureau at 707-784-7050.
