Trektober Day 13 - Baking. TBH I'd like to draw about two dozen different Star Trek characters baking, but since Odo is canonically bamboozled by the concept of stirring he had to take it :) (it's okay, Sisko will help him fix whatever happens)

So yes I'm going to go to the filming location for S5E9 The Ascent, Whitney Portal, in November (weather permitting) as part of a big trip I'm making to the US!!! This is the penultimate stop on a big solo trip going through Utah, Arizona, Nevada, Oregon, and Northern California.

I always thought the filming location looked so amazing in the episode and then I found out that it's close to Alabama Hills and Lone Pine California which is the shooting location for the Voyager 2-parter Basics (and a few of the ST movies) and I knew I had to take a detour. It's a slightly insane thing to do because it's a multi hour detour from a sensible route from my previous stop going back to Vegas before heading home but I'm literally SO excited. If anyone has been to Lone Pine or Whitney Portal before and has any tips, let me know!

Trektober Day 3 - Meet the Parents. This scenario is admittedly non-canon, but Ziyal and Jake feels so obvious it's hard not to think about it. And the absolute horror it would represent for Dukat is delicious.

Of course, it would then become 'ah, but tentatively approving this relationship is a good excuse to spend more time with both Sisko and Kira!' But the initial discomfort would be a pleasure to witness.
