Stanley Smith Stevens was born. Widely considered one of the most eminent psychologists of the 20th century, S. S. Stevens is renowned for his profoundly influential work within the field of psychoacoustics; most notably his ‘power law’ experiments designed to measure the perceived intensity of a stimulus e.g. loudness of sound.

Stevens spent his entire career at Harvard University during which time he was director of the Psycho-Acoustic Laboratory, published his groundbreaking reference book, 'The Handbook of Experimental Psychology’ and became the world’s first Professor of Psychophysics.

Stanley Smith Stevens was awarded the Warren Medal of the Society of Experimental Psychologists in 1945, was elected to the National Academy of Sciences in 1946 and received the Distinguished Scientific Contribution Award of the American Psychological Association in 1960.

Help urgently needed!!

Hi everyone, I’m Gemma, a bi, mentally ill disaster, who’s in desperate need of help right now. I didn’t expect to be asking for help again so soon from my previous post, but things have unexpectedly gotten so much worse for me.

Earlier today, Friday, October 23rd, 2020, my dog was attacked by another. 

My dog is called Luna, she is a 12 year old mixed breed with the loveliest temperament ever. She barks at loud noises, but would never, ever harm anyone. On our afternoon walk, we took our usual route that is lined with residential houses and we pass by a home in particular that homes a Japanese Akita. 

The dog is usually in the owners back garden and all the gates are locked. On this unfortunate occasion, the gate wasn’t locked and the Akita heard me and Luna passing by, it then came running out and went straight for my dog and made a small wound on her right side. 

My dog was on her leash, she’s always very excitable and thinks that everyone is her best friend, so I keep her on a lead. The owners come running out and asked what happened, when I told them that I’d be taking her to the Vet, they weren’t happy and I haven’t been able to contact them since the incident. 

Luna has three small wounds, one main one that the Akita bit into and two smaller wounds connected to it. She has been stitched back up and has been given treatment and has to return on Monday, October 26th. (medicine evidence on the fundraising post)

The total cost of the bill is £302.03 and I desperately need help paying it. I’ve created a JustGiving page for the sole purpose of showing evidence as some of the photos show Lunas stitching and blood tw/ and a description of her medical treatment. I would prefer if anyone could help me through PayPal (paypalme/GemzyM)

Did anyone notice that we can see InuYasha’s robe this time?! It seems we can see a little more of him each time perhaps? Does that mean we’re getting close to finding him?

I was in Graham Norton’s mansion and he had a bunch of bookshelves. Each one had books that were one of a kind and were not read by anyone outside his house. I decided the information in them needed to be archived and shared with the world rather than be horded by one rich guy, so I tried to steal one of them, but one of the mansions security guards shot me and I came back to life outside of the house. Each time I came back to life I tried to break in again and take another book, only for the mansion to become more complex and grand. I would always end up either being shot by the security guards or I’d be caught by Graham, only for him to kill me in a much more gruesome fashion.

Am I the only one who's really bothered by the fact that everyone keeps saying how the girls were daughters of Sesshomaru and Inuyasha but then the girls were just like "WHO?!" and then proceeds to change the topic (especially Moroha)

I know this sound so pointless, but I really need to get this off my mind so I can finally sleep in peace. I just wanna say that what I'm gonna say are just some groundless theory— or not even a theory, maybe just some thoughts on the latest episode of Hanypu no Yashahime.

It's really bugging me how the 3 teenage girls (Towa, Setsu a and Moroha) doesn't have any recollection about their parents when in fact almost all people around them talks about their parents:

1. The Tree of Ages confirming that Towa and Setsuna are Sesshomaru's twins (although their mother was not revealed);

2. Myoga clearly saying that Moroha is Kagome and Inuyasha's daughter.

Considering the present plot which is about Kirinmaru trying to make the Feudal era be swallowed into a degenerate age by distorting time, I think the old gang might be sealed into the a distorted time? Like they lived in a different time because time was already distorted and the people who already know them would still have recollection about them except their children, maybe because they were just born and still don't have any memories with their parents when that happened.

I know, it doesn't make sense because there are some scenes that are contradicting my thoughts.

1. If the old gang is really locked or sealed away in a distorted time, how come Hisui has recollection with his mother?

2. If Sango, Miroku and Sesshomaru weren't locked or sealed in a distorted time world, why only Inuyasha and Kagome?

My initial thoughts was like that, but honestly as I was typing this at this moment, I also realized that there is also a probability that the story will be about the 3 girls (obviously) and what the production meant by the old cast having cameos are just, you know, some shout out only??? Like they only mention the old cast's name, but obviously this is not true since Sesshomaru and Rin was already shown in Ep 4, and this week's episode showed that Setsuna actually met Miroku in the past.
