Tonight was a blessing to spend hours with @missjillscott and @erykahbadu. These queens, sirens, artists, soul sisters, divine cosmic God bodies, and all around great and beautifully human women mean so much to the culture, to art and my life. From penning endless love songs that chronicled my personal relationship ups and downs, to articulating my life reflections, and existence as a woman of color functioning in this complicated world, Erykah and Jill are integral to the soundtrack of my life. There are so many artists that have passed on that I wish I was able to see perform live and I'm so grateful to have Erykah and Jill and so many other Soulquarians during my lifetime and have the privilege to see them perform many times over. It was so beautiful to see the mutual respect and love these women have for each other.
