🏆 Mario Kart Trophy 2023 🏆

Held a Mario Kart tournament last year & created this trophy for the winner.

Design and build pictures to follow at a later date (probably).

But, more importantly, I sprayed chrome for the first time and it wasn't a complete abomination! 🎉 A... B-bomb...ination 😬

Corridor of uncertainty?....

Continuing with the short film post from last week, I transformed this corridor into....another corridor. Yup, it's kinda like painting wood to look like wood, only not.

In actual fact, time constraints and zero budget (indie life) meant I didn't get this area of the set upto the level I wanted. But, looking back at it now, I think it was a real achievement considering the challenges I faced as a one man band.

Fun fact: The day before travelling to site, I  was out off work and had no idea what to do next. So, I turned freelance and here we are...  Woop woop! 2 year freelance-iversy  🎉

I hadn't been part of a short film since my days at uni, so when dir. Dan Turner asked me to chip in with some production design for his project in 2021 I couldn't help but say yes.

Albeit, more loose scribbles, ideas and texture references than full designs. Even still, it was a fun one!

Plus, I really don't need much of an excuse to distress, weather and dirty up a place.... Its one of my favourite past times actually, just ask the mrs 😬

Around this time last year I spent a few weeks helping to convert containers with TPF. It was a busy couple of weeks fitting ceilings, walling & various doors, oh! such joyous doors 😒

The containers went on to be part of a couple of theme park attractions for some fun scares over the Halloween period.

Gotta love a good scare!

⚔️ Even furtherrrrrrr back in time this week. You could say almost as far back as the middle ages eh!?

This is a small larp area my chum @scotts.dream.world and I created for a local business way back (hence the poor quality pictures 😬).

Many a late night was spent getting this job finished while working around the 'day job', but it was nothing a few brews and biscuits couldn't sort out!

Fun fact: it was at this point I started to use wheelie bins for workbenches, a skill that is still In good practice today! 😂

Looking back a little further this week to the last thing I was involved with at @3dcreationsdesign . A couple of Chevy Bel Air Hot Rod styled seats.
