I realise that people generally see Asmo as a shallow character or someone who is written in a manner which seems comedic at best and I just feel like there is so much to him that people tend to overlook so I'm going to list down some things I love about Asmo...

Yes, he's narcissistic but a lot of that comes from his insecurity in his appeal as a personality and not just for his beauty.

It's mentioned time and time again that Lucifer kept him by his side because he was the Jewel of the heavens and was incredibly beautiful to look at which most definitely deeply affected his psyche, to a point where he constantly feels the need to keep up his appearance because he sincerely believes that's the only value he brings to the table.

That's also one of the reasons he is so easily swooned by the MC because they compliment him as a person as opposed to his looks. In fact his whole blood moon competition arc was so beautiful because it gives such an insightful picture of him as a person and how desperately he wants to show his capabilities and his resolve to the person he loves. He wants them to see him for who he is and what he can do when he puts his mind to something.

He is incredibly protective of his brothers and is a huge supporter and source of confidence for them. The second dame event, his sacrifice for Mammon and the whole dynamic between the two, even in chats is 🥺. They're the only two people who can match each other's energies and get along incredibly well to a point where they're often together despite the bickering ( very well put together sibling energy).

His relationship with Satan, who he is closest to in the group. The little cat fights between them. His relationship with Lucifer, which is of complete adoration and respect that is deeply relayed from both of them to each other, although more stoically from one end. How he babies the twins. And how he is always trying to include Levi. What's even funnier is most of them are absolutely running out of the way when he's angry. Man's got his wrestling moves down.

Not to mention the whole nail painting thing and his whole reason behind it. His pictures are always hilarious and he loves messing around with everyone in the family.

Not to mention, out of all the siblings he is extremely affectionate and has a lot of love to give. Compared to his brothers, he very openly addresses his admiration and fascination for his siblings. Other than Asmo being so vocal about it, you only ever see it amongst the twins for each other but that's it. I really do believe he brings a sense of balance to the chaotic side and overly stoic side of the household.

He's the quintessential self-sufficient middle child and positive yet mischievous figure who brings a sense of balance to this family.

Exactly like, I'm from somewhere where I can't have access to like a HUGE majority of what is in foreign currency (meaning no merch,no purchasable extra content, no manga/ anime, no going to events either cause too expensive) so i feel like to me it's pretty much over.

I'll rely on fanfics alone after the game storyline ends

Even if the new “project” isn’t just fan events and another type of media, it still won’t be the same because it won’t be interactive anymore.

It’ll be nice to have an anime but that won’t change the fact that we won’t be able to date them anymore choosing our own options and our own opinions can be said like how it were in the game. Anime, audio drama, whatever it is it won’t be on par as the interactive otome game was. If they’d used its potential and didn’t mess it up from when they did, there wouldn’t have been this kind of problem of trying to figure out a new tactic.

I've felt like everything had been feeling rather bleak in the game ... I probably won't miss it too much as we have some very talented/skilled fan artists and writers who have been keeping me intrested in the game lol so as long as fics and arts coming out, I'll be satisfied with them.

My list of frustration with the games is pretty long so I won't get into it, but there's something that confuses me.

What was the point of that servay about pop quiz storys if they're not planning on releasing anymore? (That's the one thing I've had been hopeful about, so it's a bit surprising I guess)

(also side note, recomend me other otome games that are free to play and available on phone? Been wanting to play homicipher so so bad but it's not free or available for phone probably...)

I need to settle a little debate with me and...my friend...yes.

1: Asmo would be willing to go monogamous if MC wishes

2: Asmo would reluctantly, but eventually go monogamous for MC

3: Asmo cannot handle monogamy, and it is a set boundary so if MC is unable to handle being in an open relationship, he won't try to persue them further

4: Asmo wants MC for himself, actually (yandere option)

Feel free to tell my why you picked what you did, though, keep in mind, i also have a certain opinions (that being i think Asmo would give up anything for MC, if they asked sweetly enough)

Fyi; This is just for a little experiment, to know fandom's interpretation of Asmo. No one will (or should) attack you for your opinion since obey me won't give any elaboration on this anymore after making nightbringer ok for a very young audience to play

Mammon's moment of bliss at the babel....he just boosted up in my favourite list

Like he's been up there since a long while, but right now he's tied for most favourite with Asmo now

I knew he was down bad for every second of MCs time and affection but damn- it's not often (anymore i think) that canon puts that fact in your face

I imagined his moment of bliss would be something like him sitting on a gold throne and mc feeding him grapes in expensive clothes or something LMAO I was pleasantly surprised

Idk if this is a controversial take, but like it’s always low-key kinda bothered me when people write Asmodeus in a way that he’s incapable of being monogamous BECAUSE of his lustful nature (rather than in the sense of headcanoning him as polyamorous, which is an entirely different case, you’re soooo valid for that mwah mwah!!! I eat it up!! <3)

But other than that?? Idk chat it just makes me feel kinda sad :(( like he’s being mischaracterised??

I’m bad at wording things but u know it’s just like mmmm he’s been waiting his WHOLE LIFE… LITERAL CENTURIES!! For someone to just see past his beauty and looks… and see him more than just an object of lust and desire… but when MC actually shows genuine interest in HIM?? It was my birthday two days ago and. Asmo's second birthday call in nightbringer actually shook me.

(small spoilers for second Asmo birthday call in nightbringer and Asmo birthday card from last year)

I regret not taking screenshot so bad like-

Despite how the game has butchered his personality in this game (atleast in my opinion) it was...nice to see that they did show a small glimpse of his other, more caring and loving side, as in like, he's actually very aware of what he says, and would reassure MC if they get insecure that he does love them the most, and to not take what he usually says too seriously lol

(which kinda sorta lines up with my personal headcanon that yes, Asmo also gets jealous when someone's close to MC especially in romantic sense, and would want their real, genuine love for himself since it's the first time he's actually fallen for someone)

Last year's Asmo birthday card was kinda disappointing to me- it was like he was trying to be someone he's not, almost (that's what it felt like to me i think) so I'm hoping so hard this year we get something that shows more of that loving genuine side of him. He deserves so much love aaaaaabhggycyfyvhhf
