For the last two photographs I took for this brief, I looked the mundane objects that I see on a daily basis. I decided to take a photo of my Mum’s car keys because it is the main center of my house. I cropped the photo to make the keys the main focus of the photograph. 

For my second image I looked at my washing liquid as i was washing the dishes. I liked the way the color of the image effected the lighting of the area surrounding it. For me these two objects represent the basic everyday chores i have been doing at home with my mum. The two of us have mainly been grocery shopping together and washing the dishes. Now that have been home more often, we spend a lot of time taking to each other,

For the first image of today I took a picture of one of my old teddy bears. It has been past down to my youngest sister and today as i was noticing it i thought it was interesting how long the toy has lasted. I took many different angles and settled on a low perspective. I liked how it make it seem as though the teddy bear is giant and imposing.

The second image I took today was of my sister again but today I was mainly doing her hair up in braids. I normally dont do it myself and she goes to a hairdresser for this but throughout this quarantine there has really been a choice. Sometimes I like doing my siblings hair as it can relaxing at times.

For this photograph I focused on my sister as a close up. I liked the idea of on showing her face exactly but looking at her pyjama shirt shows what type of personality she has.

For the third day I focused on my other sister as we were both watching shows on our laptop. I caught her during a moment when a plot twist was occurring. I like the way the railings frames her face and focus on her expression. I also really like the lighting of the room as the day is slowly ending. The blue lighting gives of a cool ambience that I liked.

For my second picture I mainly wanted the get a photo of the mirror in my sisters room. Since me and my sister share a mirror I thought it would be interesting to take a phot o of the light shing through and the reflections. However my sister was also working on her school work and I ended up liking this photograph instead.

I like the way you can see her through the reflection as shes doing her work while I am also doing school through my gaze at her.

For the second day of this brief I photographed my radiator as close as I could. The reason behind his is that today my house has mainly been very cold and the radiator represents the heat that has been going through the house.

Despite the dirt I found the composition of the picture very interesting and gives a rustic look.

Final Brief: Photograph This is a photograph of another snack that i had today. I changed up the positioning for this and took the photo of the packet that was inside the packet. i wanted to see what the photo would look like in that perspective

Final Brief: Photograph For the first photograph i took for today is an recently used skittle packet. Today i wanted to capture the snacks i had today. I added in the black and white photo because i liked the effect it had to to the snacks package. While looking at this photograph i realised how effective the branding is for this package. Its very colorful and bold but also iconic(especally the fond)

I also found this very interesting as the designer uses human bodies to make into alphabets. It is very eye catching and striking.

These are some Japanese typography I've been looking at in behance. I like how the feels more interactive with the viewer. These are very creative but also fun to look at

I really like the look of this Chinses type face of the direct translation of French fries. I like how authentic and organic the type looks.

The designer that I was inspired by was the designer from Amsterdam Monique Goossens. The type I caught my attention was typeface with strands of human hair. The Goossens' Hair Typography is crafted by arranging bunches of hairs into the shapes of single letters.  I like how each character has a dense centre and becomes increasingly sparse at the edges

For my second typography I used my hair (not my real hair) that I recently cut by myself. While I was cutting my hair I realised the length of the hair was long enough to experiment with. It was hard to get a hang of at first because some areas were stiff while other weren't but I to worked with it and the results were interesting. The ends were the easiest to curve but hard to stay in place but in the end the type looked very unique.

My progress

At first I wanted to try different lettering in the pan and it was pretty unsuccessful and having my plate for the background wouldn't have worked either. At first I had a lot of practical ideas of objects I could use for lettering but while I was making these I realised that having some silliness was well needed for the day.

My Final Moodboard:

I wanted to incorporate afro futuristic images based a representation of the album's idea of the black community standing up for themselves and protesting. I liked the juxtaposition of the futuristic and space visuals with reality of the past. I wanted the albums aesthetic to feel like it was acknowledging the reality of the past and being optimistic for a bright future. I like how the purples, blues and greens blend into the black and white photographs. The hint of red references the red type that was used in the original album art.
