Bust Project: finalized
The finalized Maquette. I was initially quite stumped as to how to prop the head, but after taking a quick look at some of the other students' approaches I decided to tape the face to a used roll of paper towel and then tape that paper towel to a box with a hole cut into it.

Bust Project early progress
Early stages of my work on our final project. We were tasked with creating a bust of a chosen individual (due to short notice I had to settle for myself) based off of the style of a chosen illustrator of our choice that we will then animate the lip movements of via stop motion.

Completed Animatic
As our team member assigned to working on the animatic was unavailable for the final week of our project, I was assigned to put the finishing touches on the animatic. Due to not having Access to the original Premiere Pro file for the animatic was originally completed in, I had to edit a downloaded version of the animatic. Meaning the clip and audio weren't separated into individual frames. I had to essentially learn how to use Premiere Pro from the ground up as I went along while completing the animatic, and found the experience wholly enriching. I was happy to play a vital role in the development of the project as opposed to the largely secondary roles I had been inhabiting up until this point.

Additional animatic Frames #1
During the first pitch meeting for our animatic, one of our lecturers, Paul, pointed out the fact that even though our primary genre was adventure, Humpty's Journey in the story was very static. As a result, we went about creating these additional shots for our animatic to give the narrative a greater sense of urgency, adding more character beats and danger for Humpty to navigate.

Character design
A series of character designs I completed while my group was still finalizing the visual aesthetic of our animatic. The crane character ended up being nixed from the short entirely but my design for the more WW1 styled cannon ended up proving useful for the development of the project.

Stylistic Influences
A number of the artists and design references for our project. I completed those centered around exploring the style of iconic 20th Century Japanese comic artist Osamu Tezuka, "The father of Manga". My group mates saw to the others.
