Kenopsia Writing Journey 3: Questionnaire.
Hello, my dudes!
So Leef and I were talking on discord and he was trying to write a story from scratch (well, rewrite a story that he had written before - I’m trying to pry the story out of him, because I want to learn more about his story and characters etc, but he just won’t budge. Help, pls) and he mentioned that he was filling out a questionnaire.
And I was like ‘Oo... a questionnaire?’
And of course, like any good friend would, I stole his idea.
So then I made a table, using Evernote, full of questions to ask your characters like an interview! And that’s what I’ve done. I think is a really good way to get to know all your characters, as I have two characters (both evil) that I don’t really know too much about. Ones called Autumn, the other’s called Charly. I can’t wait to start doing their questions.
There’s one problem, however, and Gin’s been a witness to this. When I start learning more about my villainous characters, I keep accidentally making them nice. I’m not even joking. Gin and I created one evil character and I made a backstory for them; they killed their entire home planet and spent their life hunting down their child (POKA) and I was like ‘huh, what is their motive’. And I gave them a motive. Big mistake, because I began feeling really sympathetic and turned him good again.
FML.
So hopefully this time I can keep Autumn and Charlotte evil... even though I’m already starting to think of tragic back stories. huuuuuuuggghhh.

Kenopsia Writing Journey 2: Today.
Hello, my dudes!
Now that we have the past out of the way, I’m gonna explain what I have right now. Currently, I have three quarters of a plot finished. My story’s split into four different sections (Shadow’s, Deo’s, Merge and War).
In Shadow’s we see how Shadow grew up and what exactly has made him the way that he is. In Deo’s we follow Deo’s journey to the Kingdom. Deo’s an assassin trying to kill a Prince (A Prince who happens to be friends with Shadow). In Merge, this is where Deo and Shadow finally meet each other and we see how Deo and his group are trying to keep themselves from being caught by the King etc, And finally, in war, we see a war happen that’s been hinted throughout the entire story.
The only problem I’m having is fully planning out what happens in each chapter, because I’m trying to work out how they all link together (mainly the last two). As I’m planning each chapter, I’m realizing that Shadow’s playing less of a part in the story, despite being the main character. So, I was trying to think about how I could incorporate him more in the story - and then it hit me. What if we add a little more angst into the plot? I won’t go into too much detail, because I don’t want to spoil anything. But I have many ideas!! I need to get back to actually plotting out the story, because if I don’t do it now, I never will XD
Ciao!

Kenopsia Writing Journey 1: Evolution.
Hello, my dudes!
I’m bored and procrastinating cos I have to plan more stuff out for my story before I actually begin writing it. To actually plan and write and stuff, I’m using Evernote and ZenWriter and I was going to use Wattpad to post it - but I might just do it here... but I’m not sure what the word limit is on Tumblr or what exactly you’re supposed to post on here??
I’ve seen people post their stories on here (mainly whump - because I’m a glutton for whump, sue me) and I really enjoy reading them, so why not?
I want to use this first post of the journey to look at how the story’s evolved over time. Because when I first stated, I was eight, so the themes were pretty childish really. The first story was somewhat just a cartoon really. We were just following my main character (Who was called Shadow Man or Dark Angel depending on the day, really) as he went around his own world and interacted with other characters that I’d created. Again, they were just my imaginary friends, so didn’t have to make sense.
Then, when I was eleven and my mind became both a little sharper and a little darker, I wrote the first draft for my story on some shitty knock off version of Word, I think. I was thinking back to my old stories the other day and I realized just how bad it was. And I shared it to my friends and was so proud of it, because it was the first ever story that I actually finished and had write there and.... ugh. I’m cringing so hard. It didn’t even really have a plot. I just kept writing and hoping that something happened. Shadow was found in a forest and taken home - and Viktor (a King) didn’t like him so he kept trying to kill him and then there was this Sex-God (not even kidding) that wanted to marry Shadow? Then there was Deo and Cheche and Den and T.T and Jamm who would pop up at random points. It was a mess and it was bad and I’ve deleted all traces of it, so no one has to witness that damned thing ever again.
And as time’s gone on, I’ve tried taking a break from actually writing anything - there is the odd time that I try writing but nothing really serious, just to see where things takes me. I even started writing another version of that story, but it didn’t really turn out. And during this time, I’ve been coming with a different much more fun plot to the story and here we are now. I have roughly 35 fleshed out characters (after a lot of merging and deleting - and no, they’re not all main characters) and I’ve started planning the new story. This one ACTUALLY has a plot - who’d have thunk it!

~Writing Journey Introduction~
That’s sounds so strange to type XD.
So, hello my dudes! I know that it’s unlikely anyone’s seeing thins - maybe Leef or Gin (hi guys XD). But that’s why I’m writing it here; so that I can my own progress and keep a document of my work :)
Anyway. I’ve been writing a story since I was eight years old (sort of - not literally). I made a bunch of imaginary friends when I was sat under my primary school tree when I was eight. And as I got older and life crushed my imagination, I stopped talking to these guys and just made them into characters. Eleven year old me made a bunch of real-life friends (who I’m still friends with today - I don’t know how, either. I thought they’d have killed me or I’d have killed myself by now) and started creating an entire world for these characters. And here we are today, almost completely adult me (please stop laughing) with my characters and world and... fuck, I forgot a plot line for the story...
So I’m creating a short blog on here and I’m dragging you guys along to see where this writing journey’s taking me. You’ll see me developing my characters more thoroughly, thicken my plot line and coming up with different scenarios for my characters. You’ll also get to see how fucked up my head is :D Lucky you!
Disclaimer: There’s swearing, mentions of suicide, whump, sex, violence, mental health and lots and lots of dark humor (aimed at mainly myself, don’t worry XD)
Enjoy!
