my graphic novel pitch that takes place during bramblestar’s storm but is centered around squirrelflight where while bramblestar is hanging out with jessie and doing what the fuck ever squirrelflight has discovered a heavily wounded and dying sol. she takes pity on him and sequesters him in a small hidden den where she continues to nurse him back to health. the two get to know each other and establish a camaraderie. sol seems to express some flavor of regret for his actions but is still frustrated about the clans’ continual rejection of him. eventually squirrelflight helps him get back on his feet and takes him to a twoleg nest so he might try his luck with their owners. sol resignedly accepts that perhaps he was never suited for clan life in the first place and is better off trying to find happiness and acceptance with his housefolk. he thanks squirrelflight for her companionship and the two part ways, knowing they will likely never see each other again. it ends with the reveal that alderheart and sparkpelt are sol’s kids thus fundamentally changing the context of their characters forever. the end
