Ahhh so today was my last day working as a team leader for NCS, it was defo a rollercoaster aha mainly the first 2 weeks but it has really opened my eyes to the world of work and I have ultimately had a fantastic 4 weeks - couldn’t have asked for a better group of young people & other leaders.
eeek now off to China in the morning to begin my internship!! Just so glad and so grateful to God that I am on the way to accomplishing all I set out to accomplish this summer - be a part of the Powerlist Foundation leadership programme, work for NCS and undertake a summer placement in China. Especially as it was sought out by myself and finances sorted out by myself (SO thankful that I was also one of the six winners of the placement scholarship from the faculty of engineering at my university) - helped out greatly towards the payment of my flights!!
Just finishing the last bits of packing and sorting before I go away for 6 weeks (ahhh) I just pray it all goes well and I gain as much engineering experience as I can!

NAH I TAKE BACK EVERYTHING I SAID - THE UK IS A MESS AND WE SHOULD NEVER HAVE LEFT THE EU

WOW LITERALLY JUST GAINED A NEW PERSPECTIVE ON LIFE LOOL AND I JUST FEEL SO ENLIGHTENED. Okay so some family friends of ours who voted leave BUT actually researched DEEPLY and were so clued up on everything EU - the benefits and the risks and it was just so great to actually have a proper debate and hear things from a different intellectual perspective.
(Ah how I miss my debating days - definitely going to look into joining a debate society at uni in the new academic year)
Now I actually feel perhaps this decision is for the best in the LONG RUN...so many lies were made on both sides and what really needs to be understood is the fact that the UK is a major power and now we have the freedom to trade with other major powers such as China, Japan and so on.
Also about Turkey never joining the EU, that was all a lie - David Cameron had been campaigning for them to join in return for Turkey keeping the refugees...
Within the next 10 years, it was likely Turkey would’ve joined.
Also the UK had hit a deficit with the EU for the past 5 years and this year was at record high...meanwhile France and Germany were in surplus...
UK’s talks with the EU to negotiate the freedom of movement policy within the UK and other requests have been denied 70 out of 70 times requested...meanwhile Netherlands have been able to negotiate some policies.
NEVERTHELESS, what I am just so angry with and so disheartened about is the rhetoric of why some people wanted to leave - the xenophobia and just downright racism that has been magnified and certain individuals believing they are free to act in this way because of the leave result ??? Closet racists are simply now just being brought to light. How can someone think it’s acceptable to go out with tshirts saying ‘’we voted leave, now leave our country’’ or calling out any non-white individual or anyone they perceive not to be ‘’British’’ and telling them to ‘’go back to their country because ‘’we’’ voted leave’’ - just absolutely disgusting behaviour. I can only pray and hope that one day there does come a point in life where people won’t feel the need to ostracise, belittle and discriminate against someone because they are different to them.
Well as we can see, the stock market is starting to bounce back and I do have a lot more faith in the UK economy...
Hmm even from a religious point of view, perhaps this needed to happen...as written in revelation in the bible. All in all, I shouldn’t have worried, God does not make mistakes...
‘’There is something greater coming to Britain. It’s going to start in Britain...like a wildfire. You’re part of the great story line Britain and it’s not over. It’s getting bigger and bigger’’

On another note ah defo have not used tumblr is a long time, even still says I’m 18! So much has changed - (well not really) first year of uni is over just like that! It went so fast, I had such a great year and met some amazing people and learnt a lot about myself. Guess I'll just go ahead and catch up and reblog loads of shizzle! Tumblr might be my only form of social media when I go back to China for my internship in August which I am so excited/(slightly) nervous for!

ARGHH the negative effects of the EU referendum results are actually so profound. I just can’t get my head around everything that is going on in the world these days. I’ve just finished paying my overseas internship programme fee which had to be in DOLLARS and just knowing that if I had made this payment a week or two ago I would have saved hundreds of pounds is just 💔💔 💔. Damage has been done wish the UK could at least start coming up with some plans ? ? ? All I know is these really are the end times - I just need to continue to align myself with God and not be worried because the Lord has it all under control 🙌🏾🙏🏾
