Lindsey Kustusch’s “After Dark” at Abend Gallery.
Opening on Wednesday, November 14th, 2018 at Abend Gallery’s Sugarcube Building location in Denver, Colorado is artist Lindsey Kustusch’s phenomenal solo exhibition “After Dark.”
From the gallery: “In the city, the sun’s rays set behind an evening sky obscured by the prism of neon lights, store windows, and an endless sea of dwellings, unveiling a landscape lit by the glow of millions. The air cools, the horizon softens, and all that’s left in focus is the present moment. There’s a sense of magic and a feeling of possibility. The darkness of night is not the end of a day, but merely the beginning. Our time is what we make of it, and the city is an ever-evolving and mesmerizing reminder of exactly that, especially after dark. This series captures the urban landscape in its finest hour: the nighttime hustle. Rain or shine, the city bustles with energy, illuminating the air with fluorescent potential. Just like the essence of art itself, the evening hours offer us a chance to see our world differently, and the urban landscape is not only home but a place of infinite creative interpretation.”
If you’re in the Denver area, definitely check this show out.

Artist:
Gary Villarreal
“From Deserts of Africa to the Jungles of Asia, each bead represented a specific culture recorded through her eyes. Her experiences, the food, the love all encapsulated in a single bead and a mixture of melodies from different culture played softly as the beads, one by one, permanently fused together on her dreadlocks. . . What’s the deal everyone! So, I created this drawing using a reference of my friend @ms.tnicole I always found her hair designs very inspiring and I told her many times that I was going to use it, but never did until now. Haha On top of that, I also wanted to tag along with her hashtag #doitfortheculture She’s a hell of an artist and I think you guys might get inspired by her drive and crazy skills! I hope you like this piece @ms.tnicole.”

Soey Milk’s “Inflorescence” at Corey Helford Gallery.
Opening on Saturday, September 8th, 2018 at Corey Helford Gallery in Los Angeles, California is artist Soey Milk’s exquisite solo exhibition of new work entitled “Inflorescence.”
Milk’s masterful command of visual ecstasy endlessly delights and intrigues and for “Inflorescence,” which means ‘the art of arranging flowers on an axis,’ Soey has created an ethereal display of her own memories in various portraits, presented here as metaphorical bouquets.
Milk is one of my absolute favorite artists and this exhibition should not be missed if you’re in the Los Angeles area. It will be on view until October 13th, 2018.
