Namera Kagari

Namera Kagari, also known as Remedial Girl, is an 18 year old girl who attends UA in Class 3-B. She is mixed between African American and Japanese and lives with her two mothers.

Appearance

Kagari is a dark skinned girl with long, flowy white hair with red stripes. She has black eyes and her skin appears to have a shiny sheen over it. She stands at 163 cm and has a lean physique.

Personality

Kagari is a naturally caring person. She is sweet and docile, doing what makes others most comfortable first and foremost. She is kind and puts others above and before herself frequently.

Kagari usually defers to others. She can silence or repress herself to make others comfortable, which can lead to short outbursts, especially with stress pileups due to the nature of her specific role. She always feels incredibly guilty afterward and apologizes constantly.

She is not a fighter, nor does she like conflict. She's more of a pacifist, and prefers to heal instead of injure, no matter the reason. However, she can hold her own for at least a while in combat, in case she ever gets caught in a fight.

Relationships

Family

Kagari has an average relationship with his mothers. They are very supportive of her and raised her into a girl who puts others first.

Friends

Kagari can be a bit soft spoken or shy at times, but she still has her fair share of friends. She made fast friends with Narunaka Kanade because of their similar personalities, and she gets along very well with the Hasaba twins.

She is also quite close with Shuzenji Chiyo, also known as Recovery Girl. Due to the nature of her Quirk, she trains specially under her, preparing to succeed her. They have a mentor-mentee relationship and are amicable with each other.

Quirk

Basic Function

Kagari's Quirk is Healing Slime. It gives her the ability to emit a thick, viscous fluid from her body. This fluid has healing properties, and can be directly applied to external wounds or ingested to heal internal wounds. It speeds up the natural healing process, however it cannot cure diseases or mental illnesses.

Special Moves

Full Body Cast: Kagari will produce enough fluid to surround her patient's whole body and let it heal their entire body at once.

Eye Sting: Kagari will fling her fluid into her opponent's eyes, stinging them and leaving them temporarily blinded or disoriented.

Limitations/Weaknesses

Kagari's fluid is made using her own natural body fluids, so making too much of it can leave her dehydrated and lightheaded. It cannot heal diseases, mental illnesses, or non-physical afflictions. Applying the fluid to external wounds stings momentarily to the wounded. It's also quite weak in battle, as it feels like normal slime when there's no wound for it to heal.

Mushiage Chiyoki

Mushiage Chiyoki, also known as Lochia, is a 16 year old girl who attends UA in Class 1-B. She lives with her mother, father, uncle and cousin.

Appearance

Chiyoki has blue skin and long, slightly wavy, dark blue hair with orange and white highlights. She has orange eyes and orange markings all over her face. Her eyes have multiple lenses. She has antennae, and large blue wings with orange and white spots. She stands at about 171 cm, and has a spindly body.

Personality

Chiyoki can be described as eccentric, bubbly and slightly off-putting. She likes to socialize, and her demeanor is very unique and strange. She is extroverted and tries to make friends wherever she can.

Chiyoki is a person who thinks before she acts and is very respectful. She has a rather odd way of speaking and thinking, which makes her appear strange to some. She is a free spirit, and people would say she is peculiar and non-conforming.

When she fights, she tries her best, but rarely attacks. She feels bad whenever she hurts anybody, even in self defense. She cares for others and wants to protect them, so she trains to overcome her constraints.

Relationships

Family

Chiyoki’s family is her two parents, her uncle and her cousin. Her aunt died when she was young, and her uncle and cousin moved in with her family. She grew up with her cousin Rinko, and became best friends. They formed a close bond and put each other above all else.

Friends

Chiyoki tries to be friendly to everyone. Her best friend is Rinko, who’s a year above her, but she has friends in her own class. Most of the girls in her class like her, especially Komori Kinoko and Tokage Setsuna. She gets along with Bondo Kojiro, Honenuki Juzo and Kamakiri Togaru in particular. She considers Monoma Neito a friend, even with his competitive nature.

Quirk

Basic function

Chiyoki's Quirk is called Pipevine Butterfly. She has the abilities and appearance of a pipevine swallowtail butterfly. Her wings are strong enough to carry herself and one other person, even with her skinny arms. She can release pheromones, taste things through her hands and feet, and see and reflect ultraviolet light from her wings. When she rubs her fingers to her thumbs, she can release a fine powder of aristolochic acid, which causes reactions that span from allergies or discomfort to tumor growth, depending on how much she uses. She is immune to the effects of the powder.

Special Moves

Aristo Puff: Chiyoki will rub her fingers together and let the powder fall in her palms, and then blow the powder at her opponent in one quick gust. On top of the reactions, it disorients her opponent, giving her time to get away, attack, or think of a plan.

Ultraviolet Shine: Chiyoki will point her wings toward her opponent and angle them so that light reflects off of them. This distracts her opponent, and the bright light can affect their vision.

Limitations/Weaknesses

Chiyoki’s body and wings are very fragile. The effects of her powder are temporary, and they get shorter the more powder she uses.

Trivia

Chiyoki was born with no wings/antennae, black and orange hair, pale skin, and black eyes. She went into a chrysalis at age 12 for 6 weeks, and emerged with her current appearance.

Chiyoki is a vegetarian, but eats plants that are toxic to humans because she is immune.

Chiyoki’s hero name comes from the species of plants pipevine swallowtails eat, aristolochia, which is where her powder comes from.

Chiyoki's name means caterpillar, swallowtail, butterfly and princess.

Mushiage Rinko

Mushiage Rinko, also known as Silky, is a 17 year old girl who attends UA in Class 2-B. She lives with her father, aunt, uncle and cousin.

Appearance

Rinko has tan skin and long, wavy, gray hair with black and white highlights and bangs that fall over her right eye. She has white eyes that are suited for night vision and are very sensitive to light. Her eyes have multiple lenses. She has black markings all over her face, and fuzz coating her body in various areas. She has antennae and large tan wings with black and yellow eye patterns. She stands at about 167 cm, and has a slightly plump frame.

Personality

Rinko is aloof and quiet. She is an introvert and not very comfortable around others. She doesn’t like to travel outside of her comfort zone, and she prefers to stay close to people she already knows.

Rinko is shy and cold. She doesn’t talk to others and has a hard time socializing, so she has as few friends as possible. She can come off as rude sometimes, keeping to herself and not speaking to others. She has a quiet voice and doesn’t put herself out there.

In battle, she is calm and straightforward. She usually works alone, and she develops plans quickly. She is very smart, knows her weaknesses and works around them. She can seem sneaky sometimes, taking advantage of others’ weaknesses.

Relationships

Family

Rinko’s family is her father, her aunt and uncle, and her cousin, Chiyoki. Her mother died when she was young, and her father took her to live with their other family. She grew up with Chiyoki and became close with her. Today, even if Chiyoki is in a lower year, she holds their relationship in high regard.

Friends

Rinko’s closest friend is Chiyoki. She doesn’t have many friends aside from her, and prefers to stay alone in class.

Quirk

Basic function

Rinko's Quirk is called Silk Moth. She has the abilities and appearance of a domestic silk moth. Her wings are strong enough to carry herself and one other person. She can release pheromones, taste things through her hands and feet, camouflage herself using her fuzz and spit silk from glands in her mouth.

Special Moves

Silk Wrap: Rinko will spit silk at her opponent, wrapping them up in a cocoon-like structure and hindering their movement.

Hidden: Rinko will absorb the light around her with her fuzz to camouflage, evade being seen or sensed and give herself the opportunity to sneak attack.

Limitations/Weaknesses

Rinko’s wings are very fragile and her antennae are sensitive. Her eyes are sensitive to light, and she is also attracted to light sources. Her silk is a finite resource that needs time to fill up again.

Trivia

Rinko was born with no wings/antennae, white and green hair, white skin, and green eyes. She went into a cocoon at age 12 for 6 weeks, and emerged with her current appearance.

Rinko mainly eats fruit.

Rinko hates getting wet, and bathes with a cloth instead of a shower.

Kuwaza Hana

Kuwaza Hana, to be known as Hanahaki, is a 6 year old girl who lives at the Fat Gum Agency. She occasionally stays at UA with Kusune Lucía and Eri.

Appearance

Hana has pale skin and long, green hair kept in pigtails. She has light pink eyes. She stands at 112 cm, and has a chubby stature.

Personality

Hana is a shy, quiet child at first. She is often scared and hides behind people's legs. She is closed off to others and always has wide, frightened eyes, like a deer. She speaks very quietly, if at all. Hana is prone to crying, and often has trouble sleeping.

Later on, she becomes more comfortable with her environment and comes out of her shell. She turns into a very hyper, excitable child. She likes to run around and play with toys, and likes talking to people and playing games with them. She enjoys candy, tea parties, and bedtime stories. Hana is rather loud and jumpy.

In the future, she attends UA with Eri and Kota. She is proud and bold, and likes to take the lead. She is confident and expressive, and often acts or speaks before thinking. In combat and training, she uses her Quirk effectively for offense, defense, support and healing.

Relationships

Family

Hana was born to two parents, but her father died shortly after she was born. Her mother was determined to take care of her by herself, but struggled, and had to turn to shadier means of survival. Eventually, she got herself tangled up with the wrong group of villains, whom she owed money. They had her killed, and almost killed Hana, but she was saved by Lucía before they could. She stays at Fat Gum Agency and sometimes goes to UA with Eri.

Friends

Hana's friends are Eri, Lucía, Kirishima Eijiro, Amajiki Tamaki and Fat Gum. She is especially close to Lucia, who saved her, and Fat Gum, who she lives with. Eri is often her playdate, and they get along very well whenever she visits UA to see her, Lucía, Kirishima and Amajiki.

When she goes to UA, Hana's friends are Eri and Kota. She is very close with Eri, having known her since they were both 6, and meets Kota at the UA entrance exam. They are all in class 1-A and are promising hero candidates. Kota takes a while to warm up to Hana and Eri, but they quickly become inseparable.

Quirk

Basic function

Hana's Quirk is called Flowering. She uses her own stores of water and energy to create any kind of flower or other small plant that grows from her skin and hair. Making 10 small flowers takes about the same amount of energy as making 1 large flower. She needs more sunlight than the average person to make energy to grow her plants. Picking flowers from her skin hurts, but not her hair. The pain varies on the size of the plant, ranging from a needle prick to a finger being chopped off.

Special Moves

Pollen Attack: Hana will produce a pollenating flower, causing her opponent to experience allergies. Occasionally, she will make a flower whose pollen has poisonous properties, like causing rashes or hives.

Vine Prison: Hana will send vines out from her hair to wrap a person up, so they can't move or attack.

Blossom Shield: Hana will create a large flower, ranging from the size of her torso to the size of 3 people, that will cover her and her allies and block attacks.

Limitations/Weaknesses

Hana relies on water and sunlight for her Quirk. Overusing her Quirk leads to dehydration and fatigue. The plants that grow from her skin are connected to her nerves, and removing or damaging them causes pain to her.

Trivia

Hana is the same age as Eri and Kota.

Hana is inspired to become a hero after being saved by Lucía.

Hana's favorite candy is gummy bears.

Narunaka Kanade

Narunaka Kanade, also known as Echolo, is an 18 year old girl who attends UA in Class 3-B. She is mixed between Filipina and Japanese and lives alone with her pet dog Mimi.

Appearance

Kanade has light brown skin and long, wild purple hair. She has purple eyes and wears round brown glasses. Her ears are long and pointed at the tips, like an elf. She stands at about 175 cm and has a lithe frame.

Personality

Kanade is a quiet, soft girl. She is polite and respectful towards everyone, and is very smart. She is a stable and reliable person who doesn't let people take advantage of her. She has a lot of wisdom and self respect.

Kanade is compassionate and likes helping people. She is mature and strong willed. She can seem a bit bland at times, but she doesn't care about those types of things. She has sensitive hearing due to her Quirk, so she likes peace and quiet, and spends a lot of time at places like the library.

In battle, Kanade is an opponent who strikes quick and uses her agility to the best of her ability. She moves gracefully and skillfully, and makes her Quirk more useful than it would normally be.

Relationships

Family

Kanade was estranged from the rest of her family when she was young. She was sent to live with her aunt in Japan, but was kicked out in favor of the aunt's boyfriend. She found a job and has been renting a small apartment ever since she was 14.

Friends

When Kanade started high school, she made friends with Namera Kagari and the Hasaba twins, Tetsuo and Sayuki. She gets along with Tetsuo because she's calm and quiet, and she gets along with Sayuki because she goes along with her wild ideas (though will reel her back in if it gets too crazy). Kagari and Kanade have similar personalities, and can mesh together easily.

Quirk

Basic Function

Kanade’s Quirk is Echolocation. She lets out a high pitched chirp that bounces off her surroundings up to 100 meters and returns to her, and based on the timing she can figure out the position, speed, number and other details about her surroundings. Her ears are adapted to receive the chirp, which has the added effect of heightening her overall hearing.

Special Moves

Chirp: Kanade will release a loud chirp in order to startle or stun her opponent with the sudden loud noise.

Map: Kanade will send her chirp 100 meters to map out her terrain.

Sonar: Kanade will use her hearing skills to hone in on quiet sounds in loud places.

Limitations/Weaknesses

Kanade has enhanced hearing due to her Quirk, so she is very sensitive to loud noises all the time. She can only send her chirp up to 100 meters. The volume of her chirp determines the range of the sound and the detail of the information she recieves. This Quirk has very limited offensive uses.

Kanade’s favorite fruit is strawberries.

The kanji in Kanade can also be read as Eko (echo) or Noizu (noise).

Hasaba Sayuki

Hasaba Sayuki, also known as Iron Maiden, is an 18 year old girl who attends UA in Class 3-B. She lives with her parents and twin brother.

Appearance

Sayuki has tanned skin and short, curled brown hair. She has wide red eyes and a mole on the left side of her chin. She stands at 172 cm and has a slim physique.

Personality

Sayuki is a rambunctious and loud girl. She is very excitable and extroverted, and loves to talk to people. She can come off very strong, and doesn't care what people think of her, even though she always seems to be talking to someone. She sticks with her twin brother a lot, and often helps him talk to others (even if he doesn't want to).

Sayuki is a jokester who doesn't take many things seriously. She is a rowdy and sometimes obnoxious chatterbox, but she can be serious and realistic when she needs to be. She is very supportive, but often makes jokes to try to lighten the mood.

In fights, Sayuki lets loose and gets creative with her Quirk. She isn't afraid to push boundaries to win. She isn't the most tactical person, but she does fight strong and hard, and is very hard to catch. Overall she is a strong fighter and a boisterous girl.

Relationships

Family

Sayuki's family is made up of her parents and twin brother. Her brother is transgender, being born as a girl. When he came out to her, she supported him. When he came out, she defended him against their father. Sayuki has a close, tight bond with Hasaba Tetsuo and would defend him no matter what. She distances herself from her father due to his lack of support for Tetsuo, but her mother is in her good books.

Friends

Sayuki's friends are Namera Kagari, Tetsuo and Narunaka Kanade, who the twins met in high school. She's a quiet, reserved yet strong girl who is polite and reasonable but not shy. Basic Function

Sayuki's Quirk is Chains. Her body had been modified to tolerate iron levels much higher than a normal person could withstand. With this extra iron, she can create iron chains that extend from anywhere on her body up to 15 meters away from her. These chains can be controlled like separate limbs. If the chain is cut off, the part that was separated from her body will evaporate.

Special Moves

Lasso: Sayuki will extend chains from her hands and throw them towards her opponent, then wrap them around the opponent and fling or drag them somewhere.

Stumble: Sayuki will make a long chain and wrap it around an object across from her, and make her opponent trip over her chain.

Limitations/Weaknesses

The chains can only extend up to 15 meters away. Since the chains use blood iron, too many chains or overuse will cause anemic symptoms.

Sayuki has a snorting laugh.
