it aches my heart everytime i think of you and all i could really say is i’m sorry. i’ll never know if i made the right decision giving up on our relationship, could we have worked out even if i was in whole different country? i’m not sure and neither are you but that all falls on me doubting on us. no matter how far and how much i accomplish in volleyball, i think having you by my side will always be my biggest success in life.

kaida’s note: i’m a baker myself so when i saw this request with my favorite character i got so excited, i got so into detail when describing the ingredients so i had to erase most of it, like hi you’re here to read some cute yuno fluff and i’m giving you my chocolate chip cookie recipe anyway i hope you enjoy! 💭

it had come as a surprise to you that yuno liked sweet goods to you it just didn't fit his personality. his love for sweets is exactly how you got in this mess, no literally in a mess, flour on the floor, in your hair and on the counter while batter splattered across the sink and on yuno’s shirt. 

“we can fix this” you smiled up at him while clapping your hands, yuno said nothing but smile back at you. he loved how much you were trying for him.

you first took notice of yuno’s love for sweets when you two were on a walk through the capital, he would stop every few minutes to see the sweet goods the multiple street vendors would be selling. he would always offer you a bite of whatever he bought but you would always decline but that was only because you loved to see the sweet smile yuno plastered on his face when he’d be eating his snack, it truly warmed your heart to see him so happy. 

while you concentrated on the cook book in front you, yuno watched you closely observing your facial features, he noticed how you’d frown your eyebrows and bite your lip when you didn’t understand something or how you’d smile once you understand what the book is trying to tell you. how could you be perfect? he asked himself that everyday.

“yuno did hear me?” once yuno came back to his senses he noticed you staring at him with a concerned look on your face.

“yes, why wouldn’t i?”

“hm, okay...well could you get me the eggs and milk please?”

“of course” he kissed the top of your head before going to the fridge to get the ingredients you asked for, shortly after he returned to you having mixed all the dry ingredients together. “smells good” he said looking at the bowl in front of you, you giggle at what he said which made him frown his eyebrows.

“that was cute of you” you giggled, yuno stood behind you as he poured the milk in a separate bowl and you cracked the eggs. once you began to whisk all the wet and dry ingredients together yuno wrapped his arms around you and gave you a kiss on the cheek. “what are you doing?” you asked with a giant smile on your face and butterflies roaming wild in your stomach.

“showing my appreciation” he gave you another kiss on the cheek before walking away from you, he got the pans and buttered them so that the cookies wouldn’t stick. you were in charge of rolling the cookie dough into balls and handing them off to yuno to place on the tray. once you two finished and placed the cookies in the oven it was time to clean everything, you gave yuno a pout and he already knowing you don’t want to clean. “i know what you’re saying but we both made this mess, more you than me but i still need to help” yuno walked away from you before you could process what he said.

“h-hey i didn’t make more of a mess than you!” you took a handful of flour and threw it towards yuno who was just turning back to look at you but the second he was fully turned towards you the flour hit him dead in the face. you couldn’t help but burst into laughter.

“oh that’s funny to you?”

“not it’s not, it’s hilarious” you could feel tears on the corner of your eyes from all the laughter you were doing but that soon stopped when you felt flour in your mouth. “ew!” you screamed spitting out the flour that got in your mouth “yuno you’re so dead” you laughed grabbing a handful of flour and throwing it at him. you both chased each other around the kitchen only to be disrupted by the now ready cookies.

“they smell so good” yuno complimented following you towards the oven, he went to reach for one but you swatted his hand away.

“they need to cool down before you eat them, they’re hot” you said suddenly feeling a gust of wind enter the kitchen causing for the cookies to be at the perfect temperature to eat. “funny” you said smiling and trying to not laugh at yuno’s childish behavior that comes out every once and awhile. yuno gave you a cookie while he took his, you watched yuno closely as he took the first bite of the cookies you both made and there it was the usual smile he made every time he’d take the first bite. 

“so good” he said with a mouth full of food, you were so happy to hear yuno say they were good. you both silently ate the cookies while enjoying each others company, this moment was perfect for the both of you.

yuno anxiously tapped his fingers against the table, he was waiting for you to arrive to your valentine’s day dinner he set up. he had a bouquet of roses set on the table for you and a tiny box decorated with a silver ribbon, inside contained a necklace with his name on it, he was going to officially make you his. once you arrived, you took his breath away, you were stunning and you were going to be his.

MIMOSA

valentine's day, a day filled with love and joy one of mimosa's favorite holidays. she couldn't wait to shower you in love and gifts, she handmade everything she was going to give to you, homemade chocolate, flowers she grew herself and a card filled with 1,000 reasons why she loves you. she couldn't wait to see your face when she gifted your her gifts. she couldn’t stop thinking about you all day and just the thought of you was enough to make her blush all day.

WILLIAM

william prepares weeks in advance for this special day, it had been obvious to everyone that their captain was not in the right headspace all he could think about was making this valentine’s day perfect for you. he planned a lovey candlelit dinner, the lights in the room were lowlit, rose petals were spread on the ground leading up to the table while classical music played in the background. the way your eyes lit up when you saw his surprise was enough for him to know he did a good job.

FINRAL

valentine’s day is finral’s big day to show you just how much he loves you even though he does that everyday already, he gets a giant bouquet of freshly picked roses and a giant stuffed teddy bear that he sprays with his cologne. he makes you a homemade card, he writes all his feelings for you in it and he makes you a photobook with all his favorite pictures of you both.

NOZEL

nozel was just terrible at showing you his feelings, you knew he loved you but he wasn’t the most romantic partner. you weren’t necessarily expecting anything for valentine’s day but that was not the case since being a royal nozel makes sure to get you the finest roses, imported chocolate and the most expensive wine. he got a little advice from both nebra and noelle, he was nervous about his gifts and he hoped this was enough to make you happy.

FUEGOLEON

fuegoleon ran around the crimson lion base like a madman, the entire squad looked at their usually calm and collected captain in confusion. some whispers and there asking if anyone knows what's happening with their captain. fuegoleon was panicking over valentine's day. after so many years together he still never knows what to get you but on this specific valentine's day he made the decision to propose to you, he felt it was the right time and he couldn't wait to spend the rest of his life with you.

LEOPOLD

after leopold finished blowing up the last balloon he let it go and stepped back to see his work. in letter shaped balloons he wrote ‘happy valentine’s day love’ he taped them across the wall of your bedroom while dozens of red, pink and white balloons float all around your room, he had bouquets of your favorite flowers placed around your room and a giant plushie sat on your bed. he smiled, satisfied with his special surprise for you.

MEREOLEONA

every year it’s the same thing with mereoleona, she doesn’t bother with valentine’s day to her it’s any regular day she never understood why there’d be a holiday to show your partner you love them when you should be doing that everyday regardless. even with the presents given to her by her partner, she still can’t be bothered with the holiday or so that’s what she wants everyone to think. you’ve come to notice that only on valentine’s day will mereoleona allow you to win in a spar match against her, to save yourself from endless torture you’ve never said anything about it but just enjoy the small things she does on valentine’s day.

CHARLOTTE

charlotte doesn’t know what to get you, she runs around the capital looking for the perfect gift for you and just as she was about to admit defeat her always reliable squad came to her aid. this was her first valentine's day ever and she wanted it to be perfect, thanks to some advice she got dressed in a tight dark blue dress letting her hair down and she treated you to dinner that she made again thanks to the help of her squad and she even said i love you for the first time that night as well.

JACK

all day long jack sees nothing but heart shaped everything around the capital, he tries his best to ignore it but everything lovey dovey keeps getting pushed into his face. you never expected anything from jack so when you saw your favorite snacks and a heart shaped card that you could tell he cut himself your heart filled with warmth and you couldn’t hold back the smile on your face.
