Another set of Fictif redesigns: Poe (Roadkill) and Calysta (For the Love of Gods)

Poe was a bit tricky to think of ideas for as I'm not well versed in the summer horror films his character is set in. I made him a little lankier to avoid being generically fit, and kept the academic aesthetic but with a bit more gothic elements and references to ravens for the Edgar Allan Poe thing

In contrast, I changed Calysta a lot. First, I had to give her bigger muscles because I love buff women. I also gave her stone skin and the thick leather belt to add to her title as the goddess of strength. I associate strength with stone, elephants and similar large herbivores, and gentle fortitude. Inhuman-looking gods are excellent as well, and it's why Astrellio is one of the best designs, so I had to go with that

First two redesign sketches :D I like these two designs a lot, so I mostly went about giving them less skinny body types and slightly different outfit inspirations.

Casimir's waistcoat is more 18th century without a collar and added embroidery (butterfly weed embroidery for symbolism), and I gave him a beard because he's been alone, depressed for a while (and I like beards). Then Maeve's colours are tweaked a bit and given more of a heart-shaped/point theme with her hair, collar, and waist because her dress was a little plain.

I miss the roadkill trio so much so just imagine

Poe who kisses you soft and lovingly, trailing from your neck to your jaw until giving you sweet kiss on the lips. He's also the type to give forehead kisses. Your face held gently in his hand as he press a soft kiss to your forehead before resting his head on your shoulder, whispering a little "I love you" in your ear.

Howie who hugs you so tight, spinning you around before finally kissing you. He can't help but get so happy when he sees you! His kiss is the type that gives you butterflies no matter how many times you've done it. Afterwards he'll wrap his arm around your shoulder before talking about his day and asking about yours.

Tess who on some days gives you passion and some days gives you sweetness, on both occasions it always ends up with you giggling as she continues to pepper you with kisses. She might even give you some nibbles here and there, whether it be on your ear, cheek, jaw, neck, or shoulder just so she can kiss it afterwards.

I miss roadkill and the squad so much

I just wanna hold the gang's hands and bring them on lil dates with just the 4 of us.

I have a huge crush on the 3 of them and I dearly miss them

But when they're smart, hot AND dead? Ugh so my type😩

I love them both so much

They just both so happen to be the brain of the group who never fought a day in their life and is a clumsy flustered mess but because of unforeseen circumstances they are forced to grow up and face the disastrous world with no one but themselves and their friends. But unfortunately fate isn't on their side and they end up sacrificing themselves for the people they love

I like to think that they have gossip sessions while drinking tea/coffee and reading books together. Some like Poe and Felix would definitely complain about their friends (Tess and Sage) but in a light hearted way while the rest listens in

These four could spend hours at the library. Would you like to join them?

Hell even them calling the post an "accident" is so stupid because it was posted on like both Twitter and insta with the same caption and everything, that ain't no accident 😭

A/N: two birds by Regina Spektor just really reminded me of Poe so here's a short fic I made about it<3

Two birds of a feather

Y/N has been best friends with the literary genius himself for years. Both would often stay up all night discussing plans about LA and their future there together. It was as if their dreams came true when they both finished college, finally renting a car and even a few new faces decided to tag along!

Say that they're always gonna stay together

Unfortunately both their plans to LA was rudely interrupted by zombies. After all the hardships they went through, of losing both Howie and Tess, they both made it to a hotel to rest. The Las Vegas skies are beautiful at night, it almost makes you feel as if you'll make it out alright...almost.

"Poe" I began, he raised an eyebrow expectantly "yes?" "Promise me, we'll both get out of here together...and then we'll go to LA, alright?" I raised my pinkie , finally facing him. He smiles before bringing his own to intertwine yours

"I promise"

But one's never going to let go of that wire

Douglas somehow is back, and he definitely wants revenge. Although hesitant, Poe was ultimately able to convince them to go down first. Y/N looks towards the clock before looking back at the elevator door, hoping to see Poe again soon. "Y/N! Miss me?" Poe grins, walking out the door and catching up them. He tries his best to look happy, knowing this might be the last time they see him smile, or see him...ever.

He says that he will

"we're right on time" i look at the clock before looking back at Poe. He smiles and nods his head towards the door "let's get out of here then". I immediately ran out, Poe walking slowly behind me

But he's just a liar

I stretched and sighed in relief, the nightmare is finally over. I looked towards my side, beaming happily at the man beside me...well the man who's supposed to be beside me.

Two birds on a wire

One tries to fly away and the other...

"Poe?" I hesitated to look behind me, not wanting to face the truth. And so I kept my back turned, tears staining my face

"but you promised..."
