Am I the asshole for murdering the actual father of my son-figure.

I'll try to keep this concise. I [?32] 'work with' a music group that I see as my children. E's [M17] father is, to put it simply, an abusive man. He is somewhat of a deadbeat and also verbally abusive to his children. He has also, to my knowledge, threatened both of his children with a gun that he does not have the permits to own.

I am a protective person, but not the most rational when angry. I was let out of my 'house' and instantly tracked down E's father, who I proceeded to murder. I didn't get rid of the body before I left, giving he'd stabbed me. I'd learned afterward though that not only had a child version of E's brother witnessed the corpse, but also that some of the different clones of E and his brother were still quite attached to E's father.

On one hand, the man was not a good father in the slightest and did not even attempt to have a healthy relationship with his children. On the other hand, I traumatized people I was trying to protect. Am I the asshole?
