     Had he- no, had Ichigo- really gone and promised to help the kid make dinner?? WITHOUT asking HIM!? 

     ( sure, being dragged off to Soul Society on some strange shinigami business that Kon wanted no part of was hardly something that could be predicted, but the mod soul still liked to be kept in the LOOP about these sorts of things, just in case he- oh, you know- ENDED UP HAVING TO BE THE KID FOR A NIGHT OR TWO!!! )

     Shit, he couldn’t exactly weasel his way out of this either, unless- 

     “Ah, did I...?” A hand rose to scratch at the nape of his neck in what he hoped was a sheepish mannerism that Ichigo possessed, and gave the kid the best apologetic smile he could manage while maintaining that stupid, stoic facade that that stupid, stoic teenager insisted on wearing. “Sorry Yuzu, I just remembered I have- uh- heaps of homework that needs to be done! You know what it’s like- work work work!”

    ....Was this some kind of trick? Some evil, scheming ploy to get him to lower his guard?? Not that his guard would really do all that much here, but still, if he was going to have the stuffing brutally ripped out of his body, he'd at least like to die in the knowledge that she hadn't pulled the ( not so ) metaphorical wool over his eyes!

    Her hand was extended- a peace offering, of sorts- but Kon was too smart to fall for it! He hung back, his plush expression one of comical distrust as his soft, cotton claws flexed by his sides. She was beautiful, yes, but he was smart enough to recognize a siren when he saw one!!

Though she highly doubts her words are enough to quell down his anxious state. With a pause of thought, digits extend out to the frame of the stuffed toy as a greeting. she offers a soft smile so as to show him that she was not going to harm him.

    “Uwah-!!” It was his amazing reflexes that prevented the magazine from smacking him square in the face. He dove ( expertly ) to the ground, plush body squeaking with the force of the impact as cylindrical arms rose to protect his vulnerable head from any possible further onslaught. Ichigo was mad, after all, and somewhat unpredictable with all of his teenage hormones. 

     “Hey, a guy’s gotta entertain himself somehow around here, ya’know!! All I get to do every day is sit here and wait for you to come home!! I’m gonna DIE of boredom!! It’s gonna KILL ME!!” 

     “How’s that my fault!? You should tell your sister to keep her mitts out of your room and off of your stuff!!” And by stuff, he means, of course, himself. The magazines hadn’t been intended as a part of any ploy, but now that they were back to this argument, he didn’t see why he couldn’t use them as a valuable teaching lesson.
