Day 105: Describe your favorite place in the world

It used to be my college, and it used to be my swingset. But the idea of laying down in my backyard—specifically on the grass next to where all our pets are buried—is a thought I have that grounds me and makes me feel completely at peace. If I had to pick one place to be forever, it would be that.

Alternatively, my current comfort spot is being cuddled up on my boyfriend while we watch obscure media video essays and old movies.

writing reader inserts is so funny because it's like. yeah you would NOT say that but now you do and you're gonna enjoy it. it's inevitably pouring a part of you into this fic. it's describing your dissociative daydreams in overly detail to everyone searching specifically for food to feed their dissociative daydreams. it's coming up with a hundred different scenarios on how to get railed by your favorite 2D man and yeah his dick is always big and he wants you so badly. it's playing barbie with Y/N who is like an universal OC at this point. it's going on silly little adventures in my mind and taking you all with me. reader inserts i love you so much.

Day 102: Lessons you’ve learned throughout life

It's okay to prioritize yourself

Going to community/state college is always a better idea than going to a private college

Indulge in everything you love (that won't fuck up your body)

Be as kind as you can, even if someone else is being an asshole.

Your kindness is a strength, not a weakness.

If it sucks, hit the bricks

You don't need that much stuff. Get rid of it if it isn't important to you. You don't want to be lugging around junk throughout all your life stages. I just found a used giftcard from 2012 while cleaning out my room. Like, what the fuck was I doing with that? Throw it away!

Nature can heal you

People come and go, including you, and that is a natural thing. Go with the flow and never leash others if your paths in life aren't fitting, as you wouldn't want yourself to be leashed. Goodbyes don't ever have to be goodbyes, either, it's more likely gonna be, "Sorry, adult life is kicking my ass, I know it's been a few weeks/months, how have you been?"

Love comes in all shapes and sizes and nearly 100% of the time, it will not hit you in the way you think. Your first crush is definitely probably not the one, your first relationship is definitely probably not the one, and the more you try to imagine what "the one" looks like/acts like/thinks like, the more that vision is going to alienate yourself away from the person who actually is the one. Just let love happen. You'll know. And most definitely probably, you will not have ever been able to guess what that person is actually like until you meet them—and you'll know anyway. And it'll be perfect.

Get creative! Wardrobe, house, projects, anything. Have fun with it.

Fruits and vegetables are so so good.

Take lots of pictures. Take lots of videos.

Don't let your job suck your life away. Make sure it's something you at least like.

Don't let yourself stay at a job that won't give you a living salary.

Your family is flawed. Learn from them and be better.

Get weird with it

No feeling lasts forever, including happiness, but the good news is that that also means sadness.

The meaning of life is that there is no meaning—the most freeing, beautiful, spectacular thing in the world. You're here by chance in this place where people choose to be nice, just because. Where there's so many desserts and things to learn and poetry to read and sunsets to watch. All the meaning lies within the meaningfulness that this is all just by chance. And how incredible? How incredible is that? Never forget it.

Hey, happy Earth Day! Who wants to talk about climate change?

Yeah, okay, fair, I kinda figured the answer to that would be "ugh do we have to?" What if I told you I have good news though? Good news with caveats, but still good news.

What if I told you that since the Paris Agreement in 2015, we've avoided a whole degree celsius of global warming by 2100, or maybe more?

Current projections are 2.7C, which is way better than the 3-5C (with a median of 3.7C) we were expecting in 2015. It's not where we want to be - 1.5C - but it is big, noticeable progress!

And it's not like we either hit 1.5C and avoid all the big scary consequences or fail to hit 1.5C and get all of them - every tenth of a degree of warming we avoid is going to prevent more severe problems like extreme weather, sea level rise, etc.

This means that climate change mitigation efforts are having a noticeable impact! This means a dramatically better, safer future - and if we keep pushing, we could lower the amount of global warming we end up with even further. This is huge progress, and we need to celebrate it, even though the fight isn't over.

It's working. Keep going.

Day 101: Would you like to travel abroad to learn about new things throughout the world?

Of course! I do have travel anxiety, but I love learning. I really love seeing. I don't think I would go everywhere, but I'd go everywhere I like. I'd like to learn it all like a bird would.
