It’s done. It was nice to do one of these again (also nice to know I still “got it”) after over a year of not making any art. Maybe I’ll make another one, maybe I’ll go back to writing that novel. I feel kinda bad that I transformed their verdant hiking pic into a desolate, alien plain, but I do what I want (mostly). Some last-minute lighting effects then. So, I, um...added some of the things. Now I have to do the other things—mainly lighting things, and then I have to build a vector of a thing, and color the thing when it’s done. And when it is—done, I mean—I will probably hate everything. I hate Adobe updates. They never add anything truly useful, and I lose a whole day to reconfiguring my workspace and finding all of my custom mods. Also, this last update did something to the constrain proportions shortcut, which would’ve been great, like, ten years ago, but is annoying ten years too late... I decided to move one of the new assets from a winter image into this summer (?) image (it's been suggested that this should be the image for August, but I think July might also work, because I have another really cool shoreline image that would be nice for either month--Maybe take a poll?). This floating boulder works better here than in the other one. I have no plan, because there is no plan for the universe. Only chaos. Any ways, here's something new to post. I am actually very pleased with it. It now just needs some dickering around with the lighting effects. Some warm and cool reflections/contra-highlights/low lights, shadows, iridescent mist, moar lasers, etc., and I will probably spend forever completely cocking it up before I erase everything I worked on for a month and declare it finished.
