can someone tell me what jello did? i’m looking through all these blogs and there’s a bunch of stuff i have no clue what’s going on. 1) everyone hates them, 2) they were banned/ip banned? this is croaky and i really don’t want to lose my kalons i’m really confused

god i know this sounds so desperate but does anyone know of a person who can handle doing a free growth with a bunch of rare edits? i really wanted to be able to pay for this kit since they look kinda of difficult in terms of design but i dont have much on me aside from re-releases and im not sure what i can do

“You don’t suck as an artist your art just sucks.” Fun fact;; it feels like shit to have someone call your design shitty. Don’t act like the design isn’t something the artist worked hard on and put effort into. If you don’t want a design then don’t try for it. Insulting a design IS insulting the artist. How the hell don’t you get that?

@ non owner anon; Hey anon! You may be discouraged, but you’ll never win anything if you don’t try. If it helps encourage you, just because you don’t have any other kalons to use in a try out form, it’s not going to count against you! I know at least in my own kalon comps, I wouldn’t mind if you used other non kalon characters. And if you ask in the FC people would gladly lend you their kals to use in a story. I like to judge based on ideas, and even if you don’t have other characters in your form, that doesn’t mean you’ll automatically loose. I like forms that have unique character ideas, and the promise that there will be more to develop in the future. And I know not everyone is going to be god level when they’re first starting out. I actually DO take into account newbies, and even if your ideas are a little rough, I love to see you try. You shouldn’t compare your forms to others, and psych yourself out. Even if you think you won’t win, try anyways! Even if you lose, it’s good practice, and you’ll be even better next time! There’s always a chance if you try, but you gain absolutely nothing by giving up. Good luck in future comps! I hope you don’t get too discouraged. @ post/172251501378/ it sucks that you feel that way and i can definitely relate to not wanting to even try when everyone else seems to have better ideas, but you have to get over that and realize that if you don't even try, then yeah you won't win. you need to put yourself out there and try because if you don't, you won't have even a little chance of winning and you'll never improve. my writing and ideas and chara concepts have improved so much from trying out for kalons. yours will too.

@"Gave up. Because I knew I wasn’t going to win" nope. Don't cry about not getting a Kalon if you didn't even enter. It doesn't matter how many kals you have, you can always love more and take good care of them. Just because someone has lots doesn't mean they don't use them!!! Sorry but clearly you didn't want the Kalon THAT much if you didn't bother entering. NOBODY told you not to enter. You did that to yourself.

*hits pots and pans together* people are allowed to dislike designs and rant about it on here as long as they are not bashing the artist!! it's a lot better than bullying people themselves!! stop getting so pissy when someone says they don't like the design of an adopt!! not everyone has to love everything to spare your precious little feelings!! shut up and let people rant!!

I entered for a super pretty Kalon recently. I spent a bit of time on my form, but was running low on ideas so I left it for a few days to gather my thoughts. When I came back, though.. everyone's forms and ideas were so much better than mine. Everyone had art and lots of writing. want to withdraw so badly, because I know I won't win; everyone else who entered already has a large group of Kalons, and have this large world and everyone ties into it and I'm over here on my lil lonely Kalon-less island writing up amateur ideas. 

No one's gonna look at a newbie's form and think, "Hey, this person is new, they didn't go into deal much with it but maybe they'll love this Kalon anyway! Here, take it!"

There needs to be a limit on how many Kalons you can adopt. I see so many people trying for a Kalon when they already have an entire world. (Nothing against them... just give others a chance?) 

I'm sorry I'm just super salty and sad. I wanted this Kalon so badly but got so discouraged that I just. Gave up. Because I knew I wasn't going to win. Why would someone with such a pretty Kalon choose someone who can't come up with a super detailed idea in a short amount of time?

I just recently developed the backstory and personality of a character I've had since 2015. It takes me a long time to come up with that stuff, because I want it to be meaningful.

I love Trollish's designs! I just wish they would host bigger comps so I could really put in effort for some of them, but I understand that they might not have enough time to judge such things. Keep up the awesome work!
