Visit to MOSI On the weekend I went down to the Museum of Science & Industry to have a look around at some of the exhibitions and installations they had there. Whilst observing unnoticed that the children were attracted to the well lit exhibitions, which effectively brought the adults over and made them interact. Some of the installations without cool or fancy lighting were not getting the attention that they may have deserved. In fact, some of the well lit installations were quite basic but because they looked fun and interesting, more people were interacting with these ones. I also noticed that the younger audience had more patience than the adults. They were keen to work out a puzzle and spend time stressing where as the adults were quite impatient and googled the answers. If I'm thinking of doing an interactive installation, I will have to bear in mind that adults want to be as entertained as the children, but they are not as patient and cooperative as the children. I found that the puzzles were easier in pairs or groups, as it gave another perspective/ view of the different situations. Whilst observing, I also noticed that there wasn't really anybody on their own so maybe group installations will be the step I take, so that more people will interact other the product at the same time. In all I enjoyed the trip to MOSI and I feel that I gained some key info. I will definitely be visiting it again in the new future and will look to visit other installations/ exhibitions to further my knowledge.

App Research Above you can see a photo of an item I recently ordered off of Amazon. This is to show how tracking on items works. You will receive notifications (if you want to) on where your item is. Above you can see that I ordered my item on the 19th of September and received it on the 20th. It was dispatched the same day as I ordered before a certain time. Our app could show you where your items are once they reached the warehouse as people may choose different methods to send them us. We would then make sure they were suitable for the refugees and make sure that we could ship them and then notify the sponsor on their progress. We could take this further as Meriton on explained with having live footage and maybe even photos if we could.

Me and Brill made an information page for our unit x group that was available to the public to see. We used a website builder page called Wix.com. We added content about unit x and our locations which is available to view if you use the link below.

Hand lillies -
Here is a hand lillie design that brill made. This is made out of small wire, roughly between 0.5mm & 1.0mm. I attached an LED light I bought from Primark and this was the outcome. We are not going to use this lillie

Large Lilly -
Here is the large Lilly me and Brill & Alicia made in the metal workshop. We used 4mm bendy wire and started by measuring the pieces of steel and then we cut the using the saws in the workshop. We then shaped them into Lilly petals and got Rachel from the metal workshop to weld them together.

Building box base -
Today me, Brill and Alicia had a go on making the box that my weight will go in. This is the box that will be under the big lillie so that it doesn't blow in the wind or shake about.
We went down to the woodwork workshop and cut the prices of wood, glued them and screwed them together.

Presentation
Presentation -
In our presentation with the Metrolink, Manchester City Council, RNCM & Uni tutors, we were told by the Metrolink that we were not allowed to shine light or have anything flashing as they try and promote a safe and comfortable journey for all of its passengers and thought that this would effect the overall experience of the passenger. So we were told to make another idea for the tram. We were also reminded about the 聽possibilities we hadn't covered e.g. What if it rained and our paper Lilly's were destroyed, did we have backup plans? So from this we decided to have another meeting and discuss our ideas more.
