The 'clink' of the bottle of headache medicine set before her brought rosette hues towards it for a second, just as she reached out and quietly thanked the stranger for his kindness. On he went of his surprise for how well she had accommodated to the city as she drank down the pill, and to which she scoffed slightly afterwards.

"Something like this is not enough to throw me off of my goals. They remain the same, even if I am trapped in this world," she replied with determination firmly driven within vocals. "In any case, enough about me... How long have you been here then? You seem rather used to it as well."

…”What, is something wrong?” He was sitting there petting a Chimera (made twenty minutes ago with an affinity for fire) while out of the beaming of the sun, a blue Hawaii in hand and sunglasses pushed up to cover his red eyes. All in all he blended in to look like a normal human….save for the monster that was purring right next to him trying to beat the heat by flapping its wings lightly.

“Did I take your spot or is it something else?”

A tsk left the heiress' lips upon suggestion, a ludicrous suggestion it was to her. Erina reminded herself she had been placed into a new world with new people. She would have to climb her way back to the top- not as if that would be too difficult anyhow. But now a man stood before her, questioning her skills as a chef. Just the perfect moment to remind the people of this world of her worth. Well, she certainly wasn't going to turn that down when a crowd was gathered.

"I'll grant you the chance of a lifetime to try my cooking," she told as an index pointed directly at the male with an uptilted head. "You will be the judge. So, what is your name then?"

The corner of lips twitched hearing the stranger’s compliant from behind. “Of course a lowly commoner would disagree with me,” she hissed back before standing abruptly which brought on a deathly silence to the restaurant. The chef was brought out to solve the issue, but immediately when he came into visage, she began: “You cut corners with this dish. Even if you are trying to expand this tiny restaurant, that does not excuse the quality of this dish presented before me.” Eyes glared down upon him as she took a step closer to him and he took a step away in fear.

“It tasted as if I were to go on a soothing swim then meet a cross roads with a hoard of hippopotamus which ruined the entire experience,” she scorned with one of her strange signature analogies. “How dare you even offer such a dish to I, Nakiri Erina?” she rhetorically asked as rose shaded orbs darkened upon the chef standing before her. “How ridiculous!”

She quickly gathered composure as he spoke and phalanges touched the edge of facial features. A hand slipped between them to slap away his hand while legs took a step back. "I'd prefer not to." Weight distributed evenly while arms crossed before her chest with a prideful huff. "I'm not so shameless as to kiss a stranger."

She huffed lightly and balled a fist in hopes to ease unsettled senses. “I-I-” Gathering the correct words proved to be difficult for the blonde to achieve, sputtering out various words until finally reaching a conclusion. “Why, of-of course I am–!”

“..... A blu-ray DVD is meant to be a better compact disc designed to display high definition video and store large amounts of data than a normal DVD.” Brows furrowed while in confusion. Had that been all the stranger wanted? Why hadn’t she asked a worker, rather than a stranger?

          ❝ Excuse me..you wouldn’t happen to know what a ‘BLU-RAY DVD’ is, would you? I was browsing a shop..and there were quite a few of them on display. ❞

She still had a business to run, and today's menu consisted of grilled meats. As simple as it sound, it was more than enough with it garnished with sauces and other items to bring it to its fullest potential, something worthy of being served at the finest restaurant-- Erina would settle for nothing less than perfect. However it seemed not only had she attracted the eyes and mouths of customers, but little ones... She placed the chopsticks used to flip her meats to the side as she turned to view the child below. ".. Did you need something?"

She smelled something glorious being grilled. The girl made her small quest to find the source. Creeping quietly around the beach until she saw the source. Sure, she wasn’t always polite, there was some days she stole, but only for tiny bits of food, but since someone’s at the grill, maybe she could be lucky.

A few small steps, breathe, and then speak. If things were only so simple to the child.

“E-Excuse me.”

Borders formed into a deepened frown as she watched the boy's actions. "Not exactly polite, I would say," she hummed while turning her head away from the other and scoffing quietly. "I suggest you pay the merchant at the very least for their efforts. Their food isn't half bad after all," Erina complimented as she took one for herself and set several dollars for the bun. "I can tell they put love and care into their food. It may not be perfect, but that much can be said." She had seen earlier it had been a child who had created the dish, and although messy, was filled with a familiar warmth.

           ━ ` ★ ⋱ »  The bandit casually yanked a bun from the stray basket and shoved it in his mouth. Since the owner was nowhere to be found, he was going to just casually steal the food for himself. The voice of a stranger prompted him to turn around. “… What the hell do you want?”

"Ah!" She had been too dazed to have noticed the path of her foot, and immediately upon being called out, brought back said foot to her side. "You'll have to forgive me. I seemed to have not been taking in my surroundings properly," she apologized in hushed tones, ashamed to have been caught slipping, and have stepped on a stranger's foot nonetheless.

“…please watch where you’re going.” She tried to keep up her bright smile towards the stranger no matter how difficult it was to do so considering the amount of pain she could feel on her toes. It was thoroughly stepped on, though by accident. Maki had learned not to be so rude to people, resulting in her preventing herself from saying more.

my sincere apologies for disappearing for the past week without any notice! i’ve been so terribly busy with a number of things (many being school/wrok/family related) and have been unable to post up any replies. i have 19 drafts, so please bare with me as i slowly get to them for now. thank you for your patience!
