Btw it's interesting how Jinu and dad are both Jeosung Saja or the "underworld messenger", basically the Korean equivalent of the Grim Reaper. While they are still demons, in Korean folktales they aren't evil so much as professionals just doing their job of taking deceased souls to the afterlife.

Considering Jinu's soul has been taken and given to Rumi, dad's potentially too? It just means they've been rly bad at doing their job bahaha (mby it's another gag reference from the movie 😂)

Alright well there’s art of Rumi’s parents now, it seems like they were both loving (and alive) parents, at least when Rumi was a baby, and the dad seems like a nice demon like Jinu was

But now I need to know what happened to them even more. Like what happened to Rumi’s mom? The answer could still be natural causes or getting into some sort of accident, but I believe less that it was demons that could have killed her

And again, where is her dad is the current day? He’s not a deadbeat and presumably a decent guy, and demons seem very hard to permanently kill. So like, why is he absent in modern day? Was he made to leave his daughter, potentially by Celine, or was he maybe destroyed by Gwi-Ma for his actions?

I mean maybe this is just from an early draft of the movie and this wasn’t how things were in the final version of the story, but it’s hints and I need more answers now

My bet is Celine wanted to kill dad but Miyeong protected him and got killed instead. Dad was mby punished by Gwi-Ma for betraying his kind
