Blade Runner || Ghoulcy AU

Cooper Howard is forced by his employer to continue his old job as Synth Hunter.

His assignment: eliminate four escaped Synths from the colonies who have returned to Earth.

Before starting the job, Cooper visits Vault Tec where he meets Lucy, a Synth girl he falls in love with.

Cooper Howard has a lot on his plate, trying to balance getting enough work to pay for both an apartment and alimony now that he's been blacklisted in Hollywood and spending as much time with his daughter as he can, but for some reason, he keeps finding himself in a particular coffee shop where Janey's first grade teachers just so happens to work during the summer.

Things I'm going to need in S2 for my Ghoulcy agenda (excluding the very obvious Cooper reveal):

7. Squabbling about helping people/side missions.

8. Lucy's speech skill utterly failing her and the Ghoul coming to the rescue.

9. The Ghoul's intimidation skill utterly failing him and Lucy coming to the rescue.

11. Giving first aid for injuries.

12. Wasteland lessons.

13. Lucy on chems shenanigans.

So, an incredible person made a fan trailer of my fic, An Equal Partnership, which I didn’t even know was a thing people did! But it’s incredible and I cried and I’ve now watched it at least four times and plan to continue to do so because it’s so amazing and beautiful and I’m so touched that someone took the time to do this! 😭

Cooper Howard/Lucy Maclean AU pt. 2 - Divorced!Cooper sharing custody of Janey with Barb, finally has her for more than just the summer. However, he’s run into an issue with Janey’s school and his filming location – so in steps On-Set Teacher!Lucy (pt. 1)

Lucy hesitated to attribute her job to nepotism given her father worked directly with Cooper Howard’s ex-wife. And everyone knew that separation, while publicly cordial, hadn't exactly been amicable.  Still, she’d be a liar if she said her connection hadn't gotten her name in the running.  It was a hail Mary play if anything. She hadn't expected to get a call, but in the homespun upheaval of her life – and getting far, far from Monty – she’d been willing to place her bets on anything.  And a famous movie star traveled. Away. Frequently.  That it was Cooper Howard was just an unexpected gift. Seeing how she was reacting to him now in person though, she realized that gift had teeth.

No matter how the rest of the Prime show plays out, ghoulcy will forever be this in my heart--

Coop, mid-coitus, because in Lucy's own words sex is a healthy and relaxing way to strengthen their relationship as partners: "... I wonder if she has feelings for me."

Lucy, being lulled to sleep at night by Cooper playing her favorite show-tunes on guitar, after which he cleans and loads her weapons and mends the holes in her clothes, taking first watch so she can have plenty of time to rest: "... I wonder if he has feelings for me."

You know what could work for this pair?

A Jane Eyre au.

They would be perfect for it. And the actors would fit the roles too.

Literally just finished watching Miss Meadows and thought what a perfect Ghoulcy AU! If only I had the patience to write it lmao 🤣
