The weather today was amazing. In Beykoz, it is always 3-4 degrees colder than the city, so it was probably like spring in other places. I wanted to go out, but was too tired because of the spinning class. However, I've missed these days. My energy doubles, my smile gets bigger. I took this photo when I desperately wanted to get out but couldn't. I should stop killing myself during exercises.

After staying at A's house, I woke up at 7, without reason. I was so energetic (because of eating half of the cake) that I wanted to get out, run. I started running in slow pace on Nisantasi streets, and decided to get some fresh air by running by the shore in Besiktas. I also saw Ms.P and her husband! It was a nice surprise seeing them. The thing I did today reminded my how I missed running, and how it is enjoyable in the city. I don't get a taste of this too often in Beykoz, but I'll definitely move in to the city when I'll have the right to choose.

Happy birthday A! She is the sweetest person ever. We are all at her house to celebrate her birthday today. I've known her since the first day of school, and our friendship got stronger every year since. She is always very reliable, and a good listener. She makes good suggestions to everything I tell to her, always supports. Although she likes solitude as a result of her personality, she likes being with our group, insterestingly. I'm glad she is in my life.

When I think of wednesdays, I think of the Orchestra, the single thing that covers my day. We sometimes do songs that I don't like, and sometimes songs that I'm obsessed with. I knew today's song, which is "Dusunme Hic" from Ajda Pekkan's early albums, but wasn't very familiar with it. When we played it, I enjoyed it more than anything. It was a fun after school rehearsal.

This Februray is the weirdest, warmest ever. my birthday is on 19th of February, and it had always rained or snowed each time. This time, it was so sunny and warm that we celebrated it with my friends outside, in our garden. Today is also weird in terms of temperature if we consider it's February. Everyone thinks it's nice to live in warmth, like every day is spring, but actually it's a proof that somethings are wrong.

Yesterday, I went to Amadeus in Zorlu. The thing with the event is the same of Titanic's which I went to a month ago. There's and orchestra that play the film's songs while you're watching it. This one was better than Titanic, because the songs were famous composers' songs like Mozart and Strauss. There is gonna be the same event but this time, the film will be Lord of the Rings. You should definitely go to one of the upcomings, they're different experiences.

@fishthorn I needed meat. In Zorlu, Gunaydin is one of the best places you can eat meat. The dish you choose is always very good, never lets you down. I've not been eating meat outside for a while, and today was good in terms of that. Whenever I eat or see meat, I think of my friend E and O. One is a meat lover and one is a vegetarian :) O, please don't judge me, I love you.

I'm in my usual spot again, studying DNA replication this time for a change. I tried a different tea today. It was green tea with blueberries and apples in it, very successful. I liked it, trying a new tea is always exciting even though my favorite one doesn't change anyways. My big dream for the future (other than becoming a doctor) is to open a tea house like this somewhere. There will be different kinds of tea, all natural deserts made of fruits and chia, and of course, quality dark chocolate, raw cacao beans. Although there aren't many people like me around, I beleive they exist :) I get excited even with its thought, because it's something I need but can't find. It's just a little dream, but why wouldn't it come true?

Half Cello, half Piano. Most "me" cake ever. It's so creative. My friend S thought about this cake for me and I loved it. I ate literally half of it, thinking that it's my birthday so I should'nt care, but I feel awful right now. Overall, it was a fun day. I'm glad I have friends like them. Especially my friend S, she is my one and only.

The "Aska Dair" concert today was amazing. Probably the best I've ever been to. It was Cello,Piano and Clarinet, in Pera Palas. My cello instructor was playing, seeing her there was really great. I once told her that I love Liszt's Libestraum, and she played it in today's concert as a birthday gift for me. It really meant a lot.

She, Sakiz, has just given birth to 4 other sakizs :) Whenever I see or hear something about birth I remember the Handmaid's Tale. It ruined my psychology. Anyway, they are soo cute and my cello teacher insists me to take one. However, my family won't accept it for the world. Yes, it needs intense care, but look at theem :) PS: You can't actually see the kittens because of the darkness (I couldnt have open flash to the newborns), sorry about that.

He is one of my favorite teachers in the school. He is understanding, relax and a good person. He treats us very fairly, therefore I always look forward to his lessons. Today, as a class, we talked with him for 30 minutes on a topic which was not related to class. We made him our psychologist. He listened, and offered suggestions. All teachers should be like him. They should be talking with us about anything, not only the topics we should cover. He is soo nice.

When I first saw it, I was amazed to see how many places she's seen. "There are so many experiences", as my Turkish teacher puts it. I wish it was mine. It's my cello instructor's, she gave me one of her cellos until I get myself a new one and this is its case. There is such big difference between the two! I love practicing with this new one. It's easier to play and the sound is better. Especially in these kind of instruments, every instrument is individual and unique. The wood it's made is very important (also very expensive!) and determines the whole instrument. However, a fine cello is worth every cent.

Friday after school, I went to the movies with my friend but I didn't have time to write it down that day. The film we saw was Lion, one of the rumored ones. I love watching Oscar nominees and seeing the competiton, but this movie will definetly not be an opponent for the others. It was way too slow and the events were all to very expected. Even though the idea was interesting, the overall story was too plain, straightforward. However, the cinematography and actings were very good. Not a bad film, definetly worths your time, but not the best.

Happy birthday little brother! He is now 13. His birthday was actually yesterday, but I was too tired to write anyhting. Interestingly, his birthday was also World's Internet day! I laughed a lot when I heard this because it's so absurd to be a coincidence. He spends 4-5 hours on his computer every day and his communication to other people changed drastically in juxtaposition to 3 years before. He's still the brother I've known for 13 years, but this is a problem he'll need to solve.

After these two weeks, I feel like I've already finished high school and moved on. Last semestr was crucial, and it made me sick of school. Although enjoying myself and embracing my hobbies have been very healthy, I feel like I need more. This serene sunday was one of those great Father and daughter days. We woke up early to don't get stuck in traffic and went to Bebek for a walk. As always, we came back to the neighborhood our usual tea.

I love trying new places. But this place I didn't discover. My friend S took me here, and today I took my mother. As can be seen, it's a comfortable, cute spot that you can spend hours without noticing. This place is called Blum, in Akaretler, next to ITU University. I have my cello lessons in my teacher's house also in Akaretler, and I come an hour early on purpose to spend some time there. The workers are very polite and sincere; the coffee is amazing. Stop by if you ever go to Nisantasi.
